Nandamuri Balakrishna’s most anticipated film Gautamiputra Satakarni might have been slated for release on Jan 12th. But producers having tough time as fans, distributors and a few exhibitors are mounting pressure on producers to advance the film’s release by a day since Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No. 150 is coming on Jan 11th.

Balakrishna and Chiru have always been seen as arch rivals on silver screen. Fans of both Nandamuri and Mega clans have been famous for waging wars against each other from longtime. The fans’ clash is at the peek now as both the prestigious films (Chiru 150, Balayya 100) of their favourite heroes slugging it out at Box Office for Sankranthi.

Now that Chiru is coming on Jan 11th, a day ahead than Balayya’s film, Nandamuri fans are putting a lot of pressure on director Krish, producer Rajeev to release GPSK for 11th by hook or crook.

It’s learnt that producers too now in dilemma with fans, exhibitors pressure. Sources close to the producers said they’re in contemplation. As of now, we can’t say anything. Anything may happen at anytime. A crucial announcement is expected shortly.

That’s the real masti and mazaa when two titans of Tollywood viz. Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna are set to fight in Sankranti festival battle. As per reports we had till few hours back, Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No 150’ and Balakrishna’s ‘Gauthami Puthra Satakarni’ are arriving on January 11th and 12th respectively.

Here comes the sensational amendment. Unable to bear the coercion from exhibitors, buyers and most importantly Nandamuri Fans in various regions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, director Krish and producers Rajiv Reddy and Sai Babu are contemplating to prepone Satakarni release date from January 12 to 11th.

Yes, Nandamuri Fans are strongly putting forward the sentiment of ‘Narasimha Naidu’ Vs ‘Mrugaraju’ released long back in 2001 for the same Sankranti festival on January 11th and Balayya winning the war by big margin. Looks like Krish is hell bent to bow before Fans demands and Satakarni is all likely to take direct challenge with Khaidi on the same day. An announcement on this is expected very soon.

Nandamuri Balakrishna fans are severely upset with advancement of Khaidi No 150 release date from January 13th to 11th.

Contrary to past reports on Chiranjeevi’s 150th project will hit the screens by one day late than Balakrishna’s 100th Gautamiputra Satakarni, the official announcement by Ramcharan few minutes back on his dad’s film releasing on Jan 11th is generating tremors in Nandamuri fans circles.

Director Krish is said to have received repeated requests from fans and exhibitors to pull the release to January 11th.

Currently, Krish is in Mumbai supervising final post production works is discussing the same with his producers. If they re-curve by these appeals, GPSK will also get ready for huge release on the same day and the clash is unavoidable.

Narasimha Naidu Vs Mrugaraju is the classic example in 2001 when both big films were released on same date of January 11th in Pongal season.

Most probably Krish will officially announce GPSK release date as January 11th on January 5th after censor certification.

Let’s keep fingers crossed for couple of more days because nothing can beat the fans compulsion.

Everyone in the Tollywood circles know how important Khaidi No. 150 for Chiranjeevi. Especially after his cameo in Ram Charan-starrer Bruce Lee received a set back, all eyes on Khaidi No. 150.

It’s like now or never for Chiru and his stardom is put under the litmus test for his comeback film.

Keeping all these in mind, Chiru said to have watched the whole film in the edit suit and reportedly instructed to trim few unwanted scenes.

As per the sources, Chiru asked the editors to scissor few forced comedy scenes which seem to be deviating from the main track of the film. Initially few special comedy scenes were included in the remake unlike its original Kaththi.

But towards the end, Chiru wasn’t convinced watching them on the edit table and told to delete them in the final copy. Thus, Chiru finally brought Khaidi to a shape.

Producer Ram Charan too give complete control to his Mega Star father Chiru who is famous for having good judgement.

As the film is all set for release on Jan 11, let’s wait and see what would be the result.

A highly refreshing theatrical trailer of ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’, released a couple of minutes ago, appears to be the most promising for the movie’s success. The director Satish Vegnesha has tried to narrate the story in a nutshell.

Though the story appeared to be one liner with an NRI heroine visits to her relatives house at a village in India and falls for hero, the treatment of the film seems to be awe inspiring with the subtle performance of Sharwanand. Moreover, Anupama looked dazzling in half saris.

“Tirupati laddu…Annaram prasadam..nee chethi coffee..eeti teste veru,” dialogue of hero to his mom not only impresses the audience but also betokens the importance of Jayasudha’s character.

“Appudappudoo devudi seva…eppudoo tatayya seva chesukuntoo, naa jeevitham Atreyapuraniki ankitham,” another touching dialogue of hero that hints the importance of Prakash Raj’s role. Further, Atreyapuram village of East Godavari district, renowned for world  famous pootharekulu, is interlinked with the story backdrop. All in all, the trailer is the feast for the youth, who have adulation on romantic entertainers and for the family audience, who always prefer to watch refreshing family entertainers.

These days it is Pawan Kalyan who is creating more buzz among all the top heroes. His “Katamarayudu” is now in the final stage.

Pawan Kalyan who today toured Uddhanam in Srikakulam will be joining the shoot of “Katamaryudu” later this week to complete the final action sequences and other scenes.

In February, the team is planning to wrap up the songs. With that movie’s shoot comes to an end. Hence producer Sharat Marrar is planning to hold the movie’s audio event next month itself. The team is mulling over where to conduct the audio.

As the film is about a Rayalaseema factionist falling in love with a girl at late age, the team got suggestion of holding the audio event in Rayalaseema region. But they have not decided about it. Buzz is that Tirupathi or Ananthapur will be finalised as venues for the audio launch.

“Katamarayudu” is directed by Dolly and it features Shruti Haasan as heroine. Anup Rubens is giving the music.

Dhruva’ is an Official Telugu remake of Tamil Blockbuster ‘Thanioruvan’. It is directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Allu Aravind under his banner Geetha Arts. The movie featured Ram Charan, Rakul Preet and Aravind Swamy in lead roles. Navdeep, Nassar are part of the supporting cast.

The technical team features PS Vinod for cinematography and Naveen Modi for Editing. Hiphop Tamizha scores music. Surender Reddy shaped the venture. The movie faced a very bad time at Box-Office and now it is about to complete it’s run staying behind ‘Janatha Garage’ and ‘Sarrainodu’

The collections are staggering and the movie ends up as ‘Above Average’. This could be the final verdict as there are a pile of releases waiting for a massive release in Sankranti and other Public holidays.

So as for now, it is ‘Khaidi No 150’ which would get the first-day advantage. The makers were contemplating three release dates and finally they have Zeroed on 11th. However, this might affect Overseas numbers as it is a Wednesday release. But makers are hoping for some stunning collections in the domestic circuit.

V.V.Vinayak has directed the project and this movie marks the comeback of Chiranjeevi after 10 years. Kajal Aggarwal does the female lead role and Devi Sri Prasad composed tunes. Ram Charan has funded the project.

Now, the actress is going to work in Malayalam movie for the first time in her long career span. Trisha has never worked in a direct Malayalam movie in her 15-year career span. But now she has signed a project titled as ‘Hey Jude’.

Shyam Prasad will direct the venture. Nivin Pauly will be doing the male lead role. The movie will go on floors by month of June end. It is touted to be a full-length romantic comedy genre. Sources revealed that the movie will be releasing as a bi-lingual.

Well, 2017 is going to start off with a Hollywood dubbed release. ‘Passengers’ featuring Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence is going to be dubbed in regional languages and it would be releasing on 6th of this month.

Morten Tyldum has directed the project and Thomas Newman scored tunes. During a journey through space, two passengers are awakened 90 years early as their ship malfunctions. They fall for each other and then they discover that their ship is in grave danger.

They also realize that lives of 5000 sleeping Passengers are at stake and only they can save them all. The movie got released in USA by December 21, 2016 and it opened to mixed reviews and critics.

Andy Garcia, Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne are also part of the supporting cast. The movie also features a sex scene between the lead pair and we need to wait and see whether our censor board permits it.

The relationships in the film industry need no introduction. There are neither permanent friends nor permanent foes. And all the relationships are highly volatile and time-bound.

All the helps, favours one do also come with certain calculation, expectation of returns.

But defying all these conventions and proving all the above statements wrong, there are three good friends in Tollywood who remain the same irrespective of hits or flops. And these three are now in focus as their latest venture ‘Appatlo Okadundevadu’ is receiving all the applause from critics, audiences alike.

The three friends in question are actors Nara Rohith, Sri Vishnu and producer Prashanti and their story seems to be straight out of a Tollywood script.

Intro

Not many know that Nara Rohith and Sri Vishnu met at a dance school at their early stage of careers and instantly became friends. In no time, they gelled with each other and sooner became family friends. Prashanti and Sri Vishnu too were friends before turning into life partners and they’re happily married. Thus the stage is set for the bond of Rohith-Vishnu-Prashanti.

Interval

Rohith selected few good scripts and proved his acting prowess. But Vishnu continued to struggle for good offers. Yet nothing changed in their friendship.

This sowed a seed in Rohith’s mind to give a break to Sri Vishnu and decided to produce a super-scripted film “Appatlo Okadundevadu” with Sri Vishnu as one of the protagonists Railway Raju.

Twist in Tale

The twist which very very few know is that it was Sri Vishnu who is all along with Rohith and helped him in choosing good scripts. Apparently, Vishnu’s judgement never went wrong and he is said to be the brain behind all Rohith’s hit films. Also, Prashanti has been a great support to Sri Vishnu – during tough times too – with whom she is happily married for 10 years. And all the three friends are said to be there always for one another.

This further strengthened the bond of Rohith, Vishnu and Prashanti.

“Many who see from outside think I’m helping Vishnu. But it isn’t the case. Vishnu helped me a lot in judging the scripts. I take his opinion before signing film,” Rohith divulged to his close aides recently after the film received rave reviews.

The Unsung Lady

One of the producers Prashanti is easily the unsung lady behind Appatlo Okadundevadu. It’s she who had restless days and sleepless nights and ran from pillar to the post during the post-production days.

Although the film is completed by the time of Jyo Achyutananda’s success, the trio decided to have proper time for the post-production and sat on the edit table for over 3 months and fine tuned the film. After trimming the film a lot, it said to have shaped up well.

“If anyone else is the producer, he/she may not agree. One may put pressure to release the film immediately after the success of Jyo Achyutananda. Had we done that mistake, the film would not have got the same result,” added Nara Rohith.

Man of the Match

The man of the match is the film’s writer-director Saagar K Chandra without whom this wouldn’t have been possible.

Last Ball Six

A la in the movie, Railway Raju wants to hit a Sixer in every ball. And the film could be termed as the same. It is a Sixer in the last ball. The movie released on Dec 30, 2016 is the last film of the year and it came out with flying colours.

This is the story of the three musketeers of Tollywood.

The trailer of Sharwanand and Anupama Parameswaran-starrer Shatamanam Bhavati has been released. The trailer gives us a sneak peek into the story.

Although it gives a dejavu feeling of a typical Bava and Maradalu in a rural milieu falling in love and having a family conflict, it is the soul in the trailer that makes the film interesting. Good scenery, nice dialogues and soothing music seem to be complimenting the film.

While Sharwanand is a rural youth form Athreyapuram, his cousin Anupama (daughter of Indraja) comes from abroad to visit grandparents Prakash Raj, Jayasudha for Sankranthi festival.

Young hero Nikhil is working very hard to wipe off his chocolate boy image with new flick ‘Keshava’ in Sudheer Varma direction produced by Abhishek Pictures. The action and revenge drama script runs with a specific tagline, revenge is a dish best served cold. Like every film is made special with Nikhil’s indifferent script choice, ‘Keshava’ also followed the suit.

‘I play a student from Rajahmundry suffering with rare heart disorder with heart placed on right side of chest which makes him susceptible to stress and cannot afford to get angry which can prove fatal. He is on a revenge mission to kill few people. How such heard patient completes the revenge drama is UPS with out-and-out stylized action on the lines of Kill Bill.

I am performing the stunts on own without body double. Bollywood fight masters trained me. To look gritty, I am sporting a rugged look with a grown beard throughout the film. This is first time I am moving away from regular chocolate boy image. It’s more than a month I’ve got the beard and its itching. One more month is left for shooting,’ Nikhil said.

Wiping off all rumors on Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No 150’ release date, pre release event and trailer launch, producer Ramcharan took on Facebook to interact with his followers providing complete clarity about the Mega 150.

‘Initially we thought of releasing KN 150 on January 12 but as Balakrishna’s Gauthami Puthra Satakarni is already announced on same date, we decided to release Khaidi No 150 on Jan 11. Dad was also of opinion that it is not good to release two big films on same day. So, we are going on January 11.

This cannot be called a clash because every Sankranthi, we will have two big films. My Nayak and Mahesh Babu SVSC released and both did well. I wish Krish and Balakrishna film will also do well.

About the pre release event, we postponed the date from Jan 4th to 7th due to some permission issues. Dasari Narayana Rao and K Raghavendra Rao are to grace pre release event as chief guests at Haailands Ground on Guntur-Vijayawada highway.

I will meet and invite babai (Pawan Kalyan) for the event today. He will decide whether to come or not. But, several film celebrities and Mega Fans will be present.

My second production on Konidela banner will be with dad Chiranjeevi as hero. As and when story and script is officially locked, I will make a formal announcement,” Ramcharan said.

Rumors are widespread among certain Mega circles saying Nandamuri Balakrishna has connived with AP CM and his brother-in-law Nara Chandrababu Naidu to spill cold water on the plans of a grand pre-release event of Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No.150 that was scheduled to be held on 4th Jan in Vijayawada.

After announcing the altered date, 7th Jan, and venue, Haailand Grounds in Vijayawada, to hold the same event, megastar’s close aide and producer Allu Aravind said that Chiru himself would explain the reasons behind the cancellation of the event during his address at the rescheduled function.

Megastar is expected to carefully use his words while speaking out on the event cancellation. Even a minor word against the TDP govt. has the potential to create a tense situation among Mega and TDP cadres and it may affect his film’s theatrical release.

Interim, Allu Aravind also clarified the biggest question, will Pawan Kalyan attend the event? Aravind firmly said no and cited Pawan’s busy schedule as the reason. However, the remaining Mega brigade is least expected to miss the event.
