RGV’s take on Olympic Victory
The whole nation is basking in the glory of the two medals won at the Rio Olympics. Sakshi Malik clinched a Bronze in wrestling and PV Sindhu won a Silver in Badminton.
Sensational director RGV feels that the way people are reacting to the two medals won at the Olympics is too loud. He said it was shameful that a nation of more than one billion population could produce only two medals.
He drew comparisons with other countries saying, North Korea, a country with just 5 million people managed to win 9 gold medals and America with 32 million population managed 46 gold medals.
He ridiculed the fact that Indians always exaggerate things. RGV questioned if we celebrate just two medals then what must America do who clinched 46 gold medals and 37 silver medals at the Rio Olympics?
Mega Disappointment For Fans?
Today is August 22nd and it’s a festive day for all the fans of Megastar Chiranjeevi as Chiru turned 61 today. Mega fans across the twin Telugu states have been carrying out several social and charity activities and even offered special prayers as part of Chiru’s birthday celebrations.
This evening, a grand event has been planned at Shilpa Kala Vedika to launch the first look poster of Chiranjeevi’s most eagerly awaited comeback film, Khaidi No 150. All the young Mega heroes like Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Sai Dharam Tej and Varun Tej will be attending the event.
While Mega fans are highly enthusiastic about the event tonight, here comes a much bigger disappointment. Latest reports say that Chiru is not in town and that he has flown to a secret location to ring in his birthday with close family members.
This naturally means that Chiru will give tonight’s event a miss and it is now the turn for the young Mega brigade to takeover and make sure that the fans are not disappointed.
However, several Mega fans are openly venting out their disappointment as Chiru himself is absent in his own function and that they were not informed of this in advance.
All Eyes On Bunny & Sai Dharam Tej
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 61st birthday celebrations will be held on a grand scale tonight and thousands of Mega fans, including the die-hard Pawan Kalyan fans, are expected to rev up the event.
While, the event be attended by all Mega family heroes including Ram Charan, all eyes will primarily be centered on Allu Arjun and Sai Dharam Tej following their recent ‘Cheppanu Brother’ and ‘Aapalenu Brother’ fiasco, and how Mega and Power Star fans fought on social media.
Just like every other Mega function, Pawan fans are expected to create their mandatory ‘Power Star..Power Star’ nuisance especially while Bunny goes on to the stage. Pawan fans will be eager to boo Bunny and cheer for Sai, while loyal Mega fans will extend their support to Bunny.
One wonders if Naga Babu, who gave a solid piece of mind to Pawan fans during Chiru@60 birthday celebrations at the same venue last year, will be present during the event. All in all, tonight’s going to be a night to be remembered for many reasons.

It is a known fact that NTR-Koratala Siva’s much awaited project ‘Janatha Garage’ is hitting the marquee on September 2nd. Usually, when star hero films release, small films and dubbing films do not dare to release their film. But Vikram’s ‘Inkokadu’ is taking the risk of locking horns with ‘Janatha Garage’.
Vikram is currently going through a bad phase. Post ‘Aparichitudu’, he had been waiting for a hit film in Telugu. His last film ’10 Endradukulla’ in Tamil was a disaster and was not even dubbed into Telugu. Vikram is hoping to bounce back with ‘Inkokadu’ and trailer raised huge expectations over this film. Vikram is playing both hero and the villain in this film.
‘Inkokadu’ is bought for a fancy rate of 8.5 crores. So, to recover the invested money, this film needs to get a solo release along with super hit talk. But, the makers planned to release the film on September 2nd itself. Let us wait and see what happens.
KCR, Chief Architect Of Hyderabad
Telangana CM KCR is donning another important role. This time he turned as Chief architect to promote most emerging city in the country Hyderabad as “global city” on the lines of Beijing, Tokyo and London developed.
KCR is spending at-least four hours with architects and officials of GHMC and preparing plans to create infrastructure for smooth roads, satellite townships and spectate zones for industries and IT companies.
All the town planning sketches prepared by developed countries have been under study by CM. Soon, he will also hold meetings with top architect companies to finalise a master plan to promote Hyderabad one of the most happening global city in the world.

Is Rajamouli Really Bad At Comedy?
Ace Telugu film director SS Rajamouli has cracked a satire on himself branding him a director who can’t film comedy scenes.
During the audio release function of ‘Jyo Achuthananda’, inviting Rajamoli on to the dais, anchor Suma started praising him as the director who won’t let audiences get out of seats even for popcorn, pan-India director etc. Rajamouli then satirically added ‘a director who can’t film comedy scenes’ to Suma’s appraising words. How much was Rajamouli correct in calling him weak in comedy?
If we look at the filmography of Rajamouli, they are not devoid of comedy. The sequences involving Venu Madhav in ‘Sye’ and ‘Chathrapathri’ are sheer examples of his comedy timing. For that matter, ‘Maryada Ramanna’ starring Sunil was an out an out comedy. As Rajamouli’s films are high on action, sentiment and emotions, comedy is often overshadowed but it has always been present in all of his films, ‘Magadheera’ and ‘Baahubali’ are exceptions though.
The case with Rajamouli is he can film comedy scenes but he gives more importance to action and emotional sequences with a pinch of comedy quotient. Adding too much comedy can dilute the emotional content in his films and who knows it better than himself.
Rajamouli might feel he is weak at comedy but his fans don’t.
Another Name Change for Music Director
Renowned music director MM Keeravani’s younger brother and noted Telugu music director Kalyan Malik has once again changed his name.
Kalyan Malik’s original name was Kalyan Koduri. Few years ago, he changed his name to Kalyan Malik for the reasons best known to him. Now, he has surprised everyone by once again opting for a name change. His new name is Sree Kalyan Ramana. This name change act has come to the fore after the theatrical trailer of ‘Jyo Acuthananda’ was released.
In the trailer, the film’s music director’s name was credited as Sree Kalyan Ramana. No one is sure why he is opting for frequent name change but it will be difficult to register in the minds of movie lovers with this act. It is heard that he is an avid believer in astrology so that might be the reason for changing his name.
India is No US, Varma is No Rajamouli
Controversial genius Ram Gopal Varma who keeps searching for burning and sensational issues to create new controversies could find nothing better than ‘India’s performance at Rio Olympics’ to make headlines.
Varma ridiculed Indians for enjoying the success of just 1 silver medal at Rio. He compared India, a country with 120 crore population, with the US, a country with only 32 croe population, and said that the latter has won 46 gold and 37 silver medals in comparison.
“A 32 crore population US wins 46 gold and a 5 crore population South Korea wins 9 gold nd a 120 crores population india wins 1 silver..Wah! If for just 1 silver we call ourselves incredible india I wonder what we will call ourselves if we ever win 46 gold 37 silver and 49 bronze?,” tweeted the volatile vodka ambassador.
RGV’s tweets didn’t go well with the twitterati for obvious reasons. Many have started trolling him comparing with Rajamouli. ‘if you call yourself a great director for ‘Satya’, what would you have called yourself if you had made ‘Baahubali’,’ questioned one.
Another one pointed out, ‘One Kohli can beat the hell out of a full member USA cricket team so stop comparing the two nations. We also have our strengths.’
RGV must realize that India is a developing nation and sports-persons have to break many taboos and parental pressures to shine here whereas US is a well-developed nation with plenty of opportunities. It will take time for India to compete with US at Olympic arena and meanwhile it is not a sin to enjoy the success of our athletes.

10 Dead In Hyd-Kkd Private Travels Bus Accident
10 persons were killed and as many as 30 were injured after a bus fell off a bridge in Khammam district, Telangana in the wee hours of Monday.
The tragedy occurred near Nayakangudem in Kusumanchi mandal of Khammam district when the bus lost control and fell into Nagarjunasagar canal. The bus numbered AP26 TC 9512, belonging to a private travel company, was reportedly on its way from Hyderabad to Kakinada via Khammam.
According to the police report, seven persons were killed on the spot and three died in the hospital because of sustaining severe injuries. Two cranes were brought in to pull out the bus from the canal. Three 108 ambulances were also called in to shift all the injured persons to a government hospital in Khammam. 42 passengers were aboard the bus at the time of the mishap.
The survivors told the police that the negligence of the driver led to the tragic accident. ‘The driver was running the bus at a high speed. He applied sudden brake upon reaching the bridge and it resulted in the bus overturning and falling into the canal,’ said a survivor.
District Collector DS Lokesh Kumar along with other officials has reached the accident spot and supervised the rescue operations. Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his AP counterpart Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock over the accident. The Andhra Pradesh govt. announced Rs 3 lakhs ex-gratia to the family of the deceased.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film Khaidi No 150 back look poster has been unveiled on the special eve of the actor’s birthday and the tagline on the poster reads ‘Boss Is Back’.
Yes, boss is back with bang, as the back look is impressive with Chiru’s matchless pose. The style and grace of megastar are simply amazing. Apparently, it is from introduction scene of Chiranjeevi in prison in the film. The title logo is also imposing.
As we all know, Chiranjeevi is playing dual roles- as a thief and a communist ideologue. It is yet not known whether the makers will unveil look of only one or two roles in first look poster.
