Lenovo K5 Note launch in India: Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2, Oppo A37 and other alternatives for shoppers

Lenovo successfully launched its latest premium budget smartphone, K5 Note, in India on Monday at an attractive price starting at just Rs. 11,999.

Ever since Lenovo K4 Note ruled the premium budget segment, several companies launched upgraded devices such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2, Huawei Honor 5C and Oppo A37 to attract a wider audience. While the K4 Note’s popularity started to fade, Lenovo returned stronger than before and launched the K5 Note.

Lenovo launched two versions of the K5 Note, one with 3GB RAM and the other with 4GB. The entry-level variant competes against all the popular smartphones in the similar price range. The 4GB model is priced at Rs. 13,499 and targets performance-driven users. There are several smartphone options within Rs. 15,000 price range and below are some of the most popular ones for shoppers.

In terms of specifications, Lenovo K5 Note is a pretty fair deal. It boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD display with scratch resistant glass, 13MP primary camera, an 8MP front snapper and a metal unibody. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6755 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage with microSD card support and a 3,500mAh battery. The handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, 4G LTE along with VoLTE support.

The other day, we have published a rumour that Devi Sri Prasad has walked out of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Prestigious 150th film. But it is emerging that the rumour is not true. On the occasion of Devi’s Birthday today, Konidela Production Company Twitter Account tweeted Birthday wishes to Devi.

“Wishing our Music director Rockstar @ThisIsDSP a very happy birthday! #Chiru150 #Megastar #Chiranjeevi” they posted on Twitter confirming that he is still with the team. The movie is currently being shot near Chevella where a fight is being canned. The schedules are chalked out in a way there are no big resting periods as Chiranjeevi is keen to release it for Sankranthi 2017. Kajal Aggarwal is selected as the female lead in the film.

The yet to be titled film is the official remake of Tamil blockbuster, Kaththi starring Vijay. VV Vinayak who recently bagged a failure with Akhil – The Power of Jua is given the chance to direct the film. Ram Charan and his mother Surekha are producing the film on their Konidela Production Company.

National Award winning Art Director Sabu Cyril is erecting the necessary sets for Rajamouli’s magnum opus film, Baahubali. Sabu Cyril revealed several interesting things about the work for the film which is just beyond the sets. We are bringing the excerpts of that interview to our readers.

-> Daily around 300 to 500 of workmen is on the sets of Baahubali-2, from painters and carpenters to moulders, welders, construction workers and artists.

Manchu Manoj Producer Physically Assaulted

In an unfortunate incident, Producers of Manchu Manoj’s next were physically attacked by a local goons while they are shooting in Vishakapatnam. Manoj is shooting there for the last two weeks for a film introducing a new director and being bankrolled by new producers Achchi Babu and SN Reddy.

The goons barged in to the location demanding that their men should be taken to work for the film. But the producers clarified them that as per industry rules, they have to pick only those local junior artists in Vizag who are enrolled with Federation. Since those men are not registered they can not be taken.

The goons got in to a verbal war with the producers and finally assaulted them. Achchi Babu is physically assaulted while SN Reddy escaped from the scene. Manoj filed a case with Vizag police and called for the local media informing them about the incident. Police Investigation is going on.
