Sharply reacting to Telangana CM KCR who went onto state that AP had agreed to give back five villages to Telangana, Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma responded timely and made a denial stating that AP hasn’t agreed to the proposal. Saying that KCR is lying, Uma made it clear that none of the submerged villages that are transferred to AP as per the law wouldn’t be returned to Telangana at any cost.

During his visit to Bhadrachalam on the eve of Sri Rama Navami, KCR stated that Chandrababu Naidu had promised him to give five Polavaram project villages to Telangana when he made it to the Amaravati foundation laying ceremony. However, this is not first time, KCR made such statement. In the past as well, he hinted that AP is considering the option. But as he has gone a step further and stated that Chandrababu agreed to return the five submerged villages, this has become talking point.

This invited flak from the people of Seemandhra who were shocked to hear from the CM of neighbouring state that their CM had agreed to return five villages. Now, the scene turned more interesting as one needs to wait and watch how Telangana government reacts to Uma

The successor state of Andhra Pradesh has got new feather in its cap. The Union Government is likely to set up prestigious Missile Test Facility near Amaravati, the state’s proposed capital. A team of experts have visited the site in Nagayalanka in Krishna district along with forest officials on Friday. They even visited the site allotted to Missile Launching pad near the sea coast.

A total of 154.42 hectares has been proposed for the project, covering test facility in above six hectares and technical facility in 130 hectares. The test site is falling in the limits of the Krishna Wildlife Sanctuary.Already, the Centre and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) have issued notification on the new Missile Test Facility at Nagayalanka.

Union Minister for Environment Prakash Javadekar has approved the missile test launch facility project at Nagayalanka. So, looks like, there’s no stopping for the missile test facility in AP.

YSRCP’s Nellore district’s head Nallaupureddy Prasannakumar Reddy has regretted his decision to convince YS Jagan to give the party’s 2014 ticket to Gudur MLA Sunil, who has recently defected to TDP. Terming his decision as a grave mistake, Nallaupureddy apologised to Gudur voters and that he is even ready to be slapped with a sandal by the people.

The disheartened YSRCP leader further said that he always trusted to be a loyal confidant and an efficient leader and he never expected that Sunil would betray him and the party and said that he is ashamed of Sunil’s deceit. Nallaupureddy further said that his family has been cursed and that’s why they have been facing such betrayals from trusted aides.

Nallaupureddy further went a bit emotional and stated that he is swearing to all the gods to prove that he is not responsible in Sunil’s betrayal and shifting his loyalties to the TDP and that his family would be destroyed if anyone proves that he is lying.

Around 2000 cops will guard Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket stadium at Uppal during the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League scheduled from April 16 to May 12th. Cyberabad Police commissioner already reviewed the security concerns at the stadium.The commissioner said that all security arrangements were done in an elaborate manner and with help of people, cops will completely secure the place.

The security team has 1,129 personnel from law and order, 270 from traffic, 250 from CSW, two units of Octopus, five platoons of armed police, two fire tenders with fire fighting teams and personnel from other wings.Apart from these 2000 security personnel, there will also be 400 Private security guards around the stadium. Regarding the security, Mr.Anand said, “100 CCTV cameras are installed around the stadium.

Every thing will be monitored and this also includes parking areas. We also have installed minor CCTV cameras inside the stadium for immediate action. We also made some extra arrangements in terms of any emergency.”

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is facing a piquant situation now, with regard to the mighty NTR Trust Bhavan building located on Road No. 2, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.Hitherto, the massive edifice was buzzing with a lot of activity, as it houses the TDP State headquarters. Now that Andhra Pradesh got bifurcated and Hyderabad becoming the capital of Telangana, the NTR Bhavan has become irrelevant for the TDP, which has been more or less wiped out from Telangana.

Since the TDP is the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu has decided to shift the party headquarters to Amaravati, where the new and modern building is coming up.Now, the question is what to do with the NTR Trust Bhavan in Hyderabad. Naidu cannot allow the Telangana TDP to use the entire building, since the party is more or less irrelevant in Telangana. Just for the sake of Revanth Reddy, the party cannot be run from such a massive building. At the most, Revanth can operate the party from his own house.

For the time being, NTR Memorial Trust can be run from the building under the aegis of Lokesh’s wife Brahmani. But she is not also not so regular, as there is nothing much for the trust to do on a day to day basis; so, such a big building is not required just for the trust. It can be operated from another rented premises, if required.Somebody has given a suggestion that the building can be given on lease for some corporate office.

It is a good idea, but it amounts to Naidu conceding ground to his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao and leaving for Andhra Pradesh lock, stock and barrel. At the same time, the TDP chief cannot allow to remain a ghost house. So, what to do?

Vijayawada: With 11 MLAs of the Opposition YSR Congress coming into its fold so far, the ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh has decided to give a push to the ‘Operation Akarsh’, it launched a couple of months ago.”Invite all like-minded leaders into the party and make them partners in the (state’s) development process,” TDP supremo and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu exhorted his party colleagues today.

Naidu remarks came amid reports that at least half a dozen more MLAs belonging to the YSRC were ready to cross over to the ruling party, unable to stand the “autocratic attitude” of their leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.The TDP’s intention appears to be depleting the lone Opposition of considerable strength in the Assembly and mar its chance of winning one Rajya Sabha seat in the biennial election due next month.

Speaking to ministers, legislators, and his party colleagues through teleconference this morning, Naidu said no injustice would be done to those who have been serving the party for long even if leaders from other parties join in.”No problems will arise with the entry of leaders from other parties. The number of Assembly seats in the state will increase (from 175 to 225), so nobody needs to worry,” he added.

The TDP chief also asked his party leaders to work together with newcomers “without inhibitions” and take part in development and service activities.”Service (to people) should be the guiding spirit. If we serve people well, they will be ready to return us to power even for four or five terms. Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh are examples in this regard,” Naidu observed. (PTI)
