Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Prestigious 150th film will start rolling in May. At a private event in Mumbai, Ram Charan was quizzed about the film and he said that it will begin in May First Week. He also added that he will completely supervise the project production.

Charan was also asked if he will act in the film. He only replied that he can not divulge any more details. Kathilantodu will mark the comeback of Chiranjeevi from politics to films. VV Vinayak who just registered a disaster with Akhil – The Power of Jua will be directing the film which is the remake of Tamil blockbuster, Kathi starring Vijay.

A controversy over Kathi story delayed the project for several months. Chiranjeevi back then decided to put the project on hold until the controversy is solved because he do not want the prestigious project to be marred by controversies. Now that all the decks are cleared and the movie will start rolling.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay got the much needed visibility to make a mark on Telugu audience. His Police, the dubbed version of Theri released the other day and collected about 85 Lakhs Share. This is the highest ever first day total for any Vijay film that is dubbed in to Telugu and the major credit should go to Dil Raju.

The Senior Producer who released the Telugu version made sure that the movie gets superb promotions almost on par with the star films in Telugu. Adding to that the advantages of Sri Rama Navami holiday and no competition at the box office also helped the movie to a great extent to register impressive figures.

The movie stands a good chance to continue its good run at the box office given that the talk is decent. On the other side, the Tamil version, Theri is also doing very well at the box office. On its release day, the movie has created All India Record for Tamil version (with out Telugu release and Chengalpet area release).

Anushka Sharma earned money and fame with her production debut NH10 and she is at it again. Anushka is gearing up for her second production venture ‘Phillauri’, a horror comedy and she will be acting in this one too. Sensational Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh is pairing opposite Anushka and the actress turned a character of ghost that brings the house down with fun and comedy.

Unlike her NH10, Anushka decided to bring the fun out with Phillauri, directed by a new director Anshai Lal. Anushka has become choosy with her roles and her ghost role must be entertaining enough to make Phillauri a big one.

Her Sultan with Salman Khan almost completed its shoot and Anushka will be joining the sets for ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ after that. The movie also casts Aishwarya Rai and Ranbir Kapoor.

Director Ram Gopal Varma has been suffering from flops since a time and it literally takes many minutes to recall his last hit film. He chose his favourite genre of underworld for his next and announced the same. RGV is all set to make a movie on reformed don Muthappa Rai with Vivek Oberoi in lead role. Earlier he planned to rope in Kannada actor Sudeep for lead role of previous title ‘Appa’, but later due to unexpected circumstances he was replaced by Vivek Oberoi and with new title ‘Rai’.

The movie will be shot in Mangalore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Dubai and London and obliging the request of RGV, the don turned entrepreneur Mutthappa Rai himself agreed to launch the first look poster of ‘Rai’ on first day of May. The movie is set for release in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi. RGV and Vivek Oberoi joined hands for movies ‘Company’ and Rakta Charitra which were superhits then.

These days, he has not been able to make any success in the industry.His film “Garam” got stuck midway, but he managed to get it completed using father’s influence and made tall claims about it.

But, Sai Kumar, who had taken over the film from Director Madan, is learnt to have lost a hefty amount of over Rs 2 crore.So, Adi who has been in severe crisis with a string of flops, is waiting for a bit hit urgently. All his hopes are now lying on his latest film “Chuttalabbayi” being directed by Veerabhadram. If this film too bombs at the box office, he may have to lose the ground in the industry completely and it will take a long time for him to recover.

Veerabhadram’s earlier film was “Bhai.” And it is a known fact that Nagarjuna had publicly expressed his disappointment for doing the film. It remains to be seen whether this director has recovered from his earlier shock and will regain his confidence by making “Chuttalabbayi” a success.
