The shooting schedule of Gopichand starrer film ‘Oxygen’, which was launched recently is progressing at a brisk pace. Rashi Khanna has been paired with Gopichand and this film has A M Rathnam’s son Jyothi Krishna as its director.
Oxygen is produced by S Aishwarya under Sri Sai Raam Creations banner. Yuvan Shanker Raja is scoring the music of this movie.Jagapathy Babu and Kick Shyam are playing important roles in this movie.
Just a day before the release of Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Theri Telugu Version, the makers have decided to change the Telugu title from Policeodu to Police. Dil Raju took the decision after Police Organisations met him and explained their reservations about the title.
The Senior Producer immediately obliged. The Tamil version of the film released today and got good reviews. The movie already set the cash registers ringing at Tamil box office. Police is the best chance for Vijay to make a mark on Telugu audience.
Sardaar Gabbar Singh already fizzed out at the box office and there is no other competition from the film except from Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam. Vijay is playing a strict cop in the movie. Theri is being directed by Raja Rani fame Atlee.
Samantha and Amy Jackson are the female leads. With a shrewd businessman like Dil Raju in its ranks, the movie also managed to get good promotions and release in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Story:
Arjun (Manchu Vishnu) is the son of a popular advocate (Rajendra Prasad) and his family has brother (Ravi Babu) and sister in law (Satya Krishna). Arjun believes in enjoying life to the fullest along with his friend Ashwin (Raj Tharun) who is the son of SI Koteswara Rao (Posani Krishna Murali). Both of them fall behind Neelaveni (Sonarika Bharodia) and Supriya (Hebah Patel) and gets married to them lying about their families. What is the secret behind those lies and what happens next forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Vishnu Manchu is handsome and fits in the role very well. However his dialogue delivery and mannerisms however did not have much improvement from previous films. Raj Tharun is impressive in the mass looks and different dialogue delivery. Sonarika Badoria and Hebah Patel competed with each other in glamour and have little scope to perform.
Rajendra Prasad is impressive as always while Abhimanyu Singh fits the role very well. Ravibabu, Posani Krishna Murali, Vennela Kishore and Shakalaka Shankar tried their level best in comedy and were partly success. Sunil was seen in a little cameo in a song.
Technical Performances:
G.Nageswara Reddy tried the time tested confusion comedy. However, the story, screenplay and direction do not have any excitement. The proceedings just go on with out any twists and turns. We have been watching confusion comedy films from ages and so feel very bored with the story. We do not find much of story in the first half and the second half tests patience.
Finally the climax is very much routine and the forced comedy scenes inserted to woo masses will put off family viewers. Sai Karthik came up with decent music and back ground score. Dialogues are funny. Editing is good but the climax is the major drawback. Cinematography and production values are decent.

Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam is a routine entertainer. The director came up with a routine mash up and combined it with a routine and forced comedy scenes. The film at most may please some B,C center audience but as a whole, is a disappointing.
Dil Raju’s latest presentation, Tamil star Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Theri in Telugu as Policeodu, ran into unwanted problems last night when a group of senior police officers from the Police Welfare Association raised objections against the film’s title, saying that the title has hurt their sentiments and disrespected the police department.In a quick response, Dil Raju immediately rechristened the film’s title as Police, as a mark of respect towards the police department.
The production house further stated that it was the film’s Tamil producer Kalaipuli S Thanu who titled the Telugu version as Policeodu.Meanwhile, Theri released this morning in Tamil Nadu and overseas to positive response. With festival and long weekend advantage, Police is expected to open huge even in Telugu states. While the script has nothing new in it, the director succeeded in presenting Vijay in a new way.

Ambedkar who suggested reservations for the benefit of the poor and deprived lot, recommended only cap for 10 years but politicians for their own petty politics decided to extend it again and again. Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi used to be great souls,freedom fighters and champions of poor and down trodden. However Ambedkar had many differences with Mahatma Gandhi. Many historians revealed that while Gandhi used non violent protests, Ambedkar believed in taking legal recourse to fight oppression against dalits. Both however agreed after signing Poona Pact at Yerawada Jail in 1932.
Gandhi tried his best to eradicate untouchability in the Hindu society and many times did balancing act durng the freedom struggle, Ambedkar concentrated only on single cause of fighting against oppression. There were several months of cohesion between Dr. Ambedkar and Gandhiji after the Poona Pact, but the latter was rather dissatisfied towards the end by the way Independence was achieved for the country. Ambedkar had greater confidence in impartiality of law than Gandhi himself. Ambedkar devised his protests in such way that compelled Brithsers to act in a different manner.
Hyderabad: Mobile phone manufacturer Micromax on Thursday opened its new manufacturing facility which will have the capacity to manufacture one million mobile phones per month.The unit, which opened at Fab City here, currently employs 700 people and will increase the number to 1,000 in next two months.

Power star Pawan Kalyan has become all in all with regard to his latest film Sardar Gabbar Singh. This was the opinion of not only audiences, but also reviewers. It was evident that Pawan had done the job of all right from hero to that of item girl. As a result, the film has turned out to be patchy because of not so strong script. And Pawan had done his best to sustain the interest among the audiences.Ironically, it was not just on screen, but also off screen did Pawan work very hard, especially in promoting the film.
He had taken up the sole responsibility in promoting the film in the media, though the entire team including hero, heroine, director, producer, music director and even character actors would normally involve themselves in the promotional campaigng.But this was not visible in case of Sardar. Director K S Ravindra used to give interviews to media before the release of film but he did not show up his face after that. Similarly, heroine Kajoil was nowhere to be seen after the release of film and so is the case with the other artistes.
For the first time, Pawan himself is giving interviews to the media. In the past, Pawan used to give interview to an agency and send the same footage to all the channels.But now, he is forced to give “exclusive” interviews to each and every channel to promote the film. This is nothing but degrading his stature, in the wake of negative feedback for Sardar Gabbar Singh. Let us see how far his struggle would pay off and bring the film closer to the audience.
Mumbai: After the pan-India success of “Baahubali: The Beginning”, actors from Telugu cinema are being welcomed in Bollywood. Actor Ravi Teja says that he would also like to do a Hindi film like “Ki & Ka”.Andhra superstar Ravi Teja has been constantly getting offers from Bollywood but he says that Telugu cinema is his home ground.
“I speak fluent Hindi. In fact I speak better Hindi than Telugu. But Telugu cinema is my home ground. I am in no hurry to try and conquer Bollywood. It would take a lot more than just a script that extends what I do in Telugu cinema to take me to Mumbai,” says Ravi.
The Telugu superstar, who is known as the Mass Maharaja in Andhra Pradesh says, he would love to something out-of-the-box in Hindi. “Something like R. Balki’s ‘Ki & Ka’ or Karan Johar’s ‘Kapoor & Sons’. If I’ve to continue doing action and comedy I’d rather do it on my own home ground,” he said.
