Janasena: More Threat to Jagan than Babu?
Power Star Pawan Kalyan has recently announced that he will be contesting 2019 elections. With immense following in youth as well as the decisive Kapu caste, many hope that unlike Praja Rajyam, Janasena in residuary AP can become a formidable force in the elections.
Janasena’s foray as a fully fledged entity into the political sphere may actually undermine YSR Congress, according to few than a threat to TDP. The main reason being TDP has a strong cadre, grass roots organization and a master strategist like Chandrababu at the helm.
But YSR Congress has been on a gradual decline since 2014 elections and in the last two years, it was barely able to create an impression among the people as a credible opposition. It was only a sentimental replacement for Congress but has no organizational structure like Congress also, though it has become weak now.
If Janasena is really serious, then people may consider this as a formidable force and start moving away from YSR Congress. This being a possible scenario, Jagan may be having no other option but to seek an alliance partner or a desperate face saving merger back with Congress party!
Chaitanya’s delayed project gets a release date
Naga Chaitanya’s much delayed project, Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo is currently in Turkey shooting a song there. The team will return to Hyderabad to can the climax of the film from 16th to 20th of the film. Plans are on to release the audio on April 25th and the mvoie is being planned for May 27th release.
Already a single released from the film ‘Vellipomakey’ has become a chartbuster creating huge expectations on the album. The movie is a bilingual and the Tamil version has Simbu playing the lead role. Rumours are rife that Daggubati Rana is playing a little cameo in the film and the official confirmation about this is awaited.
Malayali girl Manjima Mohan is playing the female lead in both the versions. Ravindra Reddy is producing the film in Telugu under his Dwaraka Creations banner while Kona Venkat is co-producing it. World famous AR Rahman is the music composer. The two teasers released so far have got very good response from all quarters.
Will Gopichand make an instant impression?
Gopichand made a good comeback with Loukhyam when every one started writing him off. His next film, Jil even though was promising did not fare well at the box office and his most recent film, Soukhyam is a big disaster. And now he is all set to test his luck with his new project, Oxygen.
The First Look of the film will release tomorrow and he is keen on making an instant impression with that. Jyothi Krishna, son of popular producer AM.Ratnam is wielding megaphone for the film. The movie shooting is reportedly in the last leg.
The makers are planning to release the movie for Summer. Raashi Khanna who paired up with Gopichand in Jil will once again romance the actor in this movie. AM Ratnam’s daughter-in-law, Aishwarya is producing the film. Jagapathi Babu will be seen in a vital and positive role in the movie.
Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose the music. New comer Anu Emmanuel is playing the second lead in this film. The film is a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil languages. This is the first attempt of Gopichand in Tamil film industry.
Vaitla is finally a relieved man
Mega Prince Varun Tej’s next project under the direction of Srinu Vaitla was supposed to have its launch on Ugadi day but that did not happen. There were rumours that there are some problems for the project as Varun Tej is not totally satisfied with the script delivered by Vaitla and asked for few changes.
In an interview after that, the actor was asked about his next project, he did not mention Srinu Vaitla’s name but only said it will be announced very soon. So they said the project is in doubt. But now it is all clear. The film will start rolling from 29th of this month and is a make or break project for Vaitla.
Varun Tej’s last film, Loafer is a big flop while Vaitla’s career is at cross roads with two back to back disasters with Aagadu and Bruce Lee. It is emerging that Lavanya Tripati and Hebah Patel are finalized as the heroines in the film. The film will have Mickey J.Meyer composing the music. The young music director previously scored music for Varun Tej’s debut film, Mukundha.
Two Dates Short listed For Brahmotsavam
Still there is no clarity on the exact date of Mahesh Babu’s “Brahmotsavam” as the shooting is still in progress. Which is why the audio release date has been pushed to May 1st week from April 24th.
The latest reports say that two release dates have been short listed – May 20 or 27. Based on the progress of post-production work, one date will be fixed at the time of audio launch. And release date will be officially announced at the audio launch event in Tirupathi.
Although Mahesh Babu is not happy with the constant delays in shoot, he doesn’t want to pressurize Srikanth Addala further as the director is known to make movies with his own leisure pace. He prefers quality work, rather than the speed.
Since it is a family entertainer, Mahesh Babu told the director and producers not to miss the summer holidays. He also asked them to stick either to the two dates they have finalized and not to extend it further.
“Brahmotsavam” stars Mahesh Babu, Samantha, Kajal Agarwal and Praneetha as heroines. PVP Cinema is producing this film with an estimated budget of Rs 60 Cr.
Naidu, KCR Continue ‘Operation Akarsh’
There seems to be no end to the ‘Operation Akarsh’ mission launched by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao to lure the Opposition party MLAs into the Telugu Desam Party and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi respectively.
On Wednesday, Congress MLA from Makthal in Mahbubnagar district Chittem Ram Mohan Reddy met KCR at the latter’s camp office in Begumpet and was immediately admitted into the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Reddy, who happens to be brother of Gadwal MLA and former minister D K Aruna, has been a strong Congress loyalist right from the beginning, but for obvious reasons, he chose to defect to the TRS.
Needless to say, he claimed that he had joined the TRS as he was very much impressed with the policies and programmes of KCR.
In Andhra Pradesh, there are reports that YSR Congress party MLA from Giddalur in Prakasam district Ashok Reddy and another MLA from Bobbili Sujaya Venkata Krishna Ranga Rao are getting ready to take a plunge into the TDP.
Ashok Reddy is learnt to have already met Chandrababu Naidu, while Sujaya Ranga Rao might meet the TDP chief in a day or two. However, the local TDP leaders are said to be strongly opposing the entry of both the leaders into the party, but TDP general secretary Lokesh is pacifying them.
