Tensions started for distributors and exhibitors as the release date of Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh is nearing. They have obtained the rights by shelling out massive prices and they will be safe if and only if the film crosses the magic figure of Rs 100 crores.

Especially, the overseas distributors are feeling the pre-release stress, since they invested big amount. iDream Media has acquired the rights in association with Eros International who has also involved in the production.

It may be recalled that, the overseas distributors of Sardaar Gabbar Singh had past distributed Pawan Kalyan’s disaster movie Johnny and they lost plenty with the movie. They are now looking forward to wipe off past memories with Sardaar.

Sardaar is releasing in record number of centers in US. With huge demand, the theaters count and shows are increasing. Irrespective of talk, Sardaar will open to enormous collections.

But, the film’s fate depends on its talk post the release. Sardaar must do minimum of $3 million business at overseas, in order to be termed as hit. Can Sardaar wipe off Johnny bad memories to the distributors- we need to wait and see!

Telugu film producers are showing great interest in setting up film studios in Visakhapatnam. While many are interested, few have already approached AP government and even made proposals. Talks are going on. On other hand, AP government is also wanting to promote Telugu film industry having another base in Vizag.

Already, government has convened a meeting with few prominent Telugu producers on the same. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is wanting to develop the industry in Vizag on par with Hyderabad. Naidu is keen on providing such infrastructure and amicable atmosphere in Vizag.

Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has welcomed the decision of producer Allu Aravind for doing the audio success function of Sarrainodu in Vizag. Appreciating Aravind, Ganta apparently requested him to do one among every two filmy functions of his movies in Vizag for which Aravind said to have responded positively. Looks like, AP government is pulling out all the stops for developing Visakhapatnam into film hub.

Young hero Siddharth was last seen in a cameo role in young tiger NTR’s Baadshah. The romantic hero is all set for comeback to Telugu cinema. Interestingly, for his comeback, Sid chose to work with Praveen Sattaru who won National Award for his film Chandamama Kathalu. The director was criticized for making an adult comedy Guntur Talkies. Moreover, Praveen hasn’t delivered a commercial hit so far.

In the new film with Praveen, Siddharth will play the role of a software employee who tries to find true love amidst his busy schedule. In fact, Siddharth used to essay lover boy roles in his starting stages of career and he is playing same kind of role in his comeback film. Like Siddharth previous films, music will play key role in the new flick.

The makers are looking for a new face to cast opposite Siddharth. The film will primarily be shot in Ladakh, Srisailam and Hyderabad. Another interesting fact is, this movie is not a bilingual and will only be made in Telugu. Let’s wish this movie will provide much needed break for Siddharth!

Jagapati Babu, who started his second innings with a negative role in Balakrishna’s Legend, has been busy, ever since the film released.

He has been getting quite a few offers from Tamil filmmakers for playing negative characters.

Now, we hear that the actor has signed two films in Kollywood, one film is opposite Vijay, and the other one with Vishal.

He was last seen in the Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil film Lingaa. Jagapati Babu also played the villain in Vikram’s Thandavam.

Sources say that after seeing his performance in Nannaku Prematho, the makers of Vijay 60 had approached the latter for Vijay’s film, which is directed by Bharathan.

Vijay 60, which stars Keerthi Suresh opposite Vijay, is produced by Vijaya Productions, and Santhosh Narayanan will score the music.

Young Rebel Star Prabhas’s magnum opus film Baahubali: The Beginning is still running with one or two shows in several theaters in Telugu and other states in India. Director SS Rajamouli had told the film distributors and exhibitors to replace the film, if collections would slow down. Nonetheless, few theater owners have been continuing screening the film.

Prabhas revealed that, theater owners who are still running Baahubali have written him asking to pay visit to their theaters. Prabhas thanked them and said he will try to do it. “Theatre owners are an important part of the industry and their acknowledgement means a lot,” said Prabhas to a leading daily.

Baahubali won several awards, but winning National Award was something very special for the film unit. Rajamouli assured to provide much better visual wonder with Baahubali: The Conclusion. Currently, production works of the second installment are going on in Hyderabad without much buzz.As we reported earlier, Baahubali: The Conclusion will hit the screens on April 14, 2017.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is gearing up for his Prestigious 100th film in the direction of critically acclaimed director, Krish. Interesting details of the film are emerging. There are rumours that Porn Star turned Bollywood Actress Sunny Leone will be playing an important role in the film.

They say she will be playing the role of ‘Vishakanya’ in the period film. One of the production houses involved in the film, First Frame Entertainments Pvt Ltd. registered the title ‘Gautamiputra Sathakarani’ with Telguu Film Chamber of Commerce.

Balakrishna already revealed that the movie is based on the story of Gautamiputra Sathakarani. So there are good chances for that to become the film title. According to Filmnagar sources, The movie will have its launch in Amaravati, the upcoming capital of AP on April 8th as Ugadi Special.

This is the first star hero movie launch in Amaravati. Balakrishna’s earlier film, Dictator is also the first film to have its audio launch in Amaravati. It is also said that Krish wants to rope in Rana Daggubati for an important role in the film.
