Telugu Student Commits Suicide In America
A Telugu student named Siva kiran Bandi, an MTech Computer Science student at the North Carolina University, had committed suicide by hanging himself in his campus hostel room yesterday. Siva kiran hailed from Ramanthapur, Hyderabad. Siva kiran completed his bachelors from the reputed IIIT Hyderabad and left for the US for higher studies.
As per the preliminary reports, Siva kiran had been undergoing severe pressure ever since he scored less grades at his university. Police are questioning Siva kiran’s brother, who also lives in the US, to know more details behind his suicide.
While an official from TANA informed Siva kiran’s parents about his passing away, the Telangana Development Forum in America will contribute towards sending Siva kiran’s body to Hyderabad.
This incident has further raised concerns over the challenges being faced by the Telugu students in the US, following the strict immigration rules. Most parents borrow several lakhs from banks and other sources for their children’s higher education, which in turn puts a lot of pressure on the students.
Suresh Babu To Turn Actor?
If the latest report published in a popular national media house is anything to go by, one of Tollywood’s leading producers Daggubati Suresh Babu is all set to make his acting debut. Suresh Babu will be playing a crucial cameo in Azhar, the Emraan Hashmi-starrer biopic on the life of tainted Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin.
Apparently, Suresh Babu is a close friend of Azhar’s director Tony D’Souza and the former couldn’t say no when Tony requested him to play an important role in his film. The film will also see Rana Daggubati in a short cameo, according to the report.
Suresh Babu’s father and Movie Moghal Dr. D Ramanaidu acted in several of his home productions and apparently, he also insisted Suresh take up acting career, which the latter refused politely and limited himself to film production and distribution.
What for Pawan Kalyan went to Sound Room?
Pawan Kalyan’s visit to the Sound Room in Mahavir Showroom located in Hyderabad on Thursday is giving rise to many queries. Taking a break from the shooting of ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’, Our Jana Sena Supremo went to Mahavir Showroom the other day.

Dictator copied from a Hollywood film?
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Dictator is all set for a grand release on 14th as Sankranthi Special. It is emerging that the movie is copied from a Hollywood film, Equalizer. The 2014 film is an action, crime thriller and is a money spinner at the box office.
Kona Venkat and Gopimohan had made some changes to the script to suit Balakrishna’s image. The promotions will kick start with the Platinum disk function tomorrow in Hyderabad.
Loukyam fame Srivas is wielding megaphone for this movie. He is also the co-producer of the film along with Eros International. Anjali and Sonal Chauhan are the heroines. Thaman is the music composer.
Comfortable run-time for Soggade Chinni Nayana
King Nagarjuna’s Soggade Chinni Nayana is all set for a grand release on 15th of this month as Sankranthi Special. According to sources, the movie is 143 minutes long which is a good duration for audience to sit and enjoy. Nagarjuna for the first time is playing a dual role as father and son.
The movie’s trailer and music album are impressive and rose the expectations and hype on the film. Ramya Krishna will be romancing the Senior while Lavanya Tripathi will be seen along side the Junior. A new comer Kalyan Krishna is wielding megaphone for this project.
Nagarjuna bagged a very precious hit with Manam after a long time and so he is very careful in his career going further since his retirement is nearing. And so he is taking extra care on this project.
Nani’s Film Title Confirmed!
Hero Nani is currently doing a film which has an interesting theme. Till a couple of days ago, the movie’s title was thought to be ‘Jai Balayya’. Since Nani is being essayed the role of a Balakrishna’s fan as per the substance, the movie’ title was considered ‘Jai Balayya’.
Finally, the movie’s title has been confirmed as ‘Krishna Gadi Veera Premagaatha’. Although he is a fan of Balakrishna, Nani’s name in the movie is Krishna and he is not at all a fan of hero Krishna as per the story.
Hanu Raghavapudi of ‘Andala Rakshasi’ fame is directing this movie. The movie is being produced on 14 Reels Entertainment. Nani’s latest offing ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’ has become a blockbuster at the box office. His new movie ‘Krishna Gadi Veerapremagaatha’, which is scheduled for release on February 5, is also expected to be a big hit.
Killing Veerappan Release Fails In Promotions
Ram Gopal Varma’s much awaited documentary crime drama on Sandalwood smuggler Veerappan’s assassination bid is released yesterday in Telugu as ‘Killing Veerappan.’ This project is a sensation and remained in centre of controversies ever since it is announced by RGV with Shiva Raj Kumar playing lead cop character around whom the entire narration moves on.
In fact, Telugu version suffered with few Censor Board obstacles while Kannada version opened to extra ordinary talk with bombarding revenues in the last week, thanks to stardom of Shiva Raja Kumar. Although the title ‘Killing Veerappan’ gives a literal impression of Special Task Force net thrown on Veerappan either to nab him or eliminate him but common audience are more emotionally connected with film to know about proceedings in Veerappan’s personal life which are completely given a skip by RGV.
Apparently, RGV’s research done into entire Police planning and implementing Operation Cocoon is profoundly presented on the screen. Biggest drawback RGV made with the release strategy is lack of promotions and majority of Telugu population are really uncertain on release update, especially after last week’s postponement. At a time when critics started appreciating RGV for showing his master touch in second half, scarce promotions almost killed Veerappan’s Box Office future.
TDP’s Bad Propaganda on Vizag?
If at all there is one city that has a beautiful scenery with hills and greenery to look at and promises the peaceful living without any political, caste and religions based turmoils, that should definitely be Vizag city. And the city has huge air traffic connectivity, that isn’t possessed by any city in the AP.
It is a known thing that Vizag was earlier considered as the capital of AP. But the caste based political parties have never let the city got the honour. Whatsoever, people of Vizag city have bitterly digested these facts. In the meanwhile, people of Vizag city have been fighting for the special railway zone for a long time and the union government is also willing to announce the same in upcoming railway budget.
But then, here is a twist. MP Rayapati, who has been guided by supreme leaders of the TDP, demanded special railway zone should be shifted to either Vijayawada or Guntur city as Vizag is frequently affected by floods. What a pathetic idea it is! Don’t these politicians have kind hearts towards the people of areas? If Vizag has the problem of floods, Amaravati has been declared as the Earthquake prone area and every area has various problems based on its geographical conditions. Let’s hope our governments should give equal importance to the people of all areas barring caste and religion bias.
Disha to Do a Special Song for Allu Arjun
Earlier, Anjali was roped in Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s ‘Sarainodu’ to shake a leg with the star for a special song. And now, reports revealed that she would be replaced by Disha Patani to do this special dancing number.
As we know, Disha Patani was seen opposite to Mega Prince Varun Tej in ‘Loafer’. And she is currently doing female lead for MS Dhoni’s biopic. In the meanwhile, Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa are sharing screen space with Allu Arjun in ‘Sarainodu’.
Boyapati Srinu, who scored two resounding blockbusters ‘Simha’ and ‘Legend’ recent times with Balakrishna, is working for ‘Sarainodu’ as a director. Thaman has scored the music of the movie. The movie is being produced by Mega Producer Allu Aravind on Geetha Arts. The movie will hit the screens in the last week of April.
‘Naannaku Prematho’s Run time Locked!
Here is an interesting update on Young Tiger NTR’s ‘Naannaku Prematho’. According to the highly placed sources, the total run time of the movie was of 2 hours and 51 minutes. However, a sort of editing work was done before the first copy had been readied. And now, exact run time of the movie has been locked to 2:40 minutes. As per sources, a few sentiment scenes from the second half were chopped off. Anyways, this could be treated as an ideal run time.
Meanwhile, the movie is going for censor on 9th of this month while the release date has been zeroed on January 13. NTR will be seen in a complete makeover with a different hair and beard styles.
Sukumar has directed ‘Naannaku Prematho’. Rakul Preet Singh played romantic interest of NTR in the film. The movie has been produced by BVSN Prasad on Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra. Devi Sri Prasad is the music scorer.
‘Baahubali 2’ Has VFX with Hollywood Standards!
There may be contrasting opinions on the content and actors performances in Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’. However, none can find out hardly any flaws in its visual grandeur except the bull fight sequence. Not only critics, but then Rajamouli, himself, reportedly admitted, the animation work done for the bull fight sequence was not upto the mark. Since the movie was made with a budget of more than Rs.100 crores, the makers should have been careful in every minute aspect of the film making which also include VFX.
Since some of the young and energetic filmmakers are showcasing high end visuals with quite affordable budget and surprising the movie patrons, directors like Rajamouli have reportedly decided to take the Telugu cinema to next level which is on par with the standards of a Hollywood cinema. And for the directors like Rajamouli, it’s a cake walk achieving this task with the movies like ‘Baahubali 2’.
Meanwhile, ‘Baahubali 2’ is starred by Young Rebel Star Prabhas, Rana, Anushka and Tamannah in female lead roles. Keeravani has composed the music of the movie. The movie was directed by Rajamouli on Arka Media Works.
