Selfie Misfire: Man Shoots Himself In Face
One more selfie has gone tragic and this time, an elderly man in his 40s attempted to pose a selfie with his handgun, which accidentally left a bullet in his face. His girlfriend enlightened cops about the whole incident, as she was there with him during the selfie attempt.
The couple were taking selfies since this morning and the man with his gun in hand. He was taking the bullets out and reloading them several times. A bullet was left behind once and that’s when he shot it in his face assuiming it empty.
There were many other selfie accidents recently and as many as 27 people lost their lives in last year alone.
A similar tragedy happened with a 19 year old in the US, as he tried to click a selfie with gun pointed to head for his instagram post. It is more like a shock when reports prove that selfie craze is taking away more lives than that of shark attacks.

Manoj To Bail Out Deccan Chronicle?
Hyderabad-based media house Deccan Chronicle Holdings (DCHL), which holds four dailies including Deccan Chronicle, Andhra Bhoomi, Financial Chornicle, Asian Age, is likely to be acquired by Manoj Mohanka. The movie is expected to give breather to the debt-ridden media house which has accumulated losses of Rs 513 crore as of September end 2012.
Manoj, who was the former chairman of Network 18 and the former president of Calcutta Chambers of Commerce, agreed in principle to the proposal from DCHL’s single largest stakeholder, Srei Infrastructure Finance, to infuse capital into the debt-laden newspaper firm.
Meanwhile, Srei Infra has obtained approval from the High Court to convene a meeting of DCHL stakeholders for a scheme of compromise and arrangement. The court-convened meeting to be held on March 19 is going to consider the proposals on reorganization of DCHL’s share capital.
The meeting is also expected to write off Rs 52.25 crore of losses against the paid-up capital of DCHL. The beleaguered media house currently has paid up equity of Rs 55 crore. Manoj Mohanka proposes to infuse Rs 30 crore as equity and unsecured loans to take charge of the day-to-day affairs of the firm.
“If all the stakeholders buy into the proposed scheme of compromise, then there is certainly huge opportunity for a turnaround of the publication,” Manoj was quoted as saying by Economic Times. Looks like, good days are back for DCHL.
March 4 Will Decide Their Fate

IIFA Utsavam Lost To SIIMA
Ever since 2012, the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) has been enthralling the movie lovers down south. With just 4 editions, SIIMA became a name to reckon with in the movie and entertainment industry. The previous four star-studded editions of SIIMA were held in a grand style in Dubai, Sharjah and Malaysia. Then came the IIFA Utsavam.
In the last week of January, the entire the first edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards’ IIFA Utsavam was held in Hyderabad. The 2-day festival created a lot of buzz thanks to the first ever live stage performances of stars like Ram Charan and Akhil apart from several other hottest stars.
Last week, the IIFA Utsavam had its first TV premiere. And this week, the TRP ratings of IIFA Utsavam’s TV premiere have been released and entertainment industry experts drew comparisons between IIFA Utsavam and, yet another popular movie awards event.
While IIFA Utsavam’s Telugu awards event’s red carpet premiere rating is 2.96, SIIMA’s 2015th edition’s red carpet rating for the Telugu event was 6.85. Similarly, IIFA Utsavam gained 4.11 points for its Tamil awards premiere where as SIIMA’s Tamil event got a rating of 5.74. This clearly shows that SIIMA clearly won the race by a huge margin.

The hot and voluptuous Jabardasth beauty Rashmi Gautam has made a startling statement. Rashmi says that her career will take such a paradigm shift that after the release of Guntur Talkies, she will be flooded with at least 15 item song offers.
Claiming that Guntur Talkies is nothing like what she has done in her career so fast, Rashmi confidently says that Guntur Talkies will bring her a new image in Tollywood. Not stopping here, Rashmi also says that even Tollywood will undergo a huge change post Guntur Talkies.
When asked if she is game for item songs, Rashmi shoots back promptly, “why not, even star heroines who are charging 2 crore per film are doing item songs now, why will I shy away?”.

Bellamkonda Suresh’s Office Seized
Bellamkonda Suresh best companion seems to be controversy and the producer is at it again. Kotak Mahindra bank authorities seized Bellamkonda’s office as the latter failed to repay a loan of around Rs 7 crores. Rumors had it that Bellamkonda is a secret financier for his son’s Speedunnodu and he even seems to have made some good 5 – 6 crores of profit on it by selling it at high rates.
Looks like he not that bankrupt he appears to be. Many say that Bellamkonda usually tries to skip the payments or delays them to his possible best. Not just the bank, but there are many others in film fraternity who were troubled by him.
Hero Ram complained about this producer late after Kandireega for skipping a part of his promised remuneration and so is the case that evoked Manchu Lakshmi to file case against him for not paying the rent of Gandharva Mahal used in Rabhasa shoot.
Director Santosh Srinivas too complained against Bellomkonda, saying that the latter has slapped and insulted him during an argument on money matter. Bellamkonda is heard to have spent a bomb on his son’s debut film Alludu Seenu with all other stars on board, which ended up in losses.
Going back in time, Bellamkonda failed to get any blockbusters or at least superhits in last 4 years. Let’s see what Bellamkonda does to get his office back.
Urmila Weds In A Secret Ceremony
The Rangeela beauty Urmila Matondkar has tied the knot in a hushed ceremony today. Urmila entered into wedlock with a Kashmir based businessman and model named Mohsin Akhtar Mir. Apparently, it was a love marriage with families’ consent.
Urmila kept her marriage a secret until the news broke out. Interestingly, no one from Bollywood except ace designer Manish Malhotra attended this private wedding, apart from the couple’s families and close friends.
Speaking to media about her marriage, urmila said she and her husband seek everyone’s blessings on embarking this new journey of their lives. Urmila is well known for her performances in several hit films such as RGV’s Rangeela, Satya, Gayam, Bhoot and Shankar’s Bharateeyudu etc.

All Is Well For Baahubali 2 Release
Ace director SS Rajamouli will have proper and perfect planning over release of his films. His next film Baahubali: The Conclusion or Baahubali 2 is hitting the screens on April 14th, 2017. Hence, the announcement has come more than a year prior to its theatrical outing date.
In fact, the movie has all positives regarding its release. Baahubali 2 is releasing on the eve of Good Friday, a public holiday. The day also happens to be New Year in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Coming to Bollywood version, no other Hindi film is announced to release on the day, as of now.
In fact, no one would dare to clash with the giant- Baahubali 2. Even Salman Khan couldn’t stop the Baahubali storm with his Bajrangi Bhaijaan. So, Baahubali 2 is also expected to release alone and have free run in all the languages.
More importantly, the film is releasing in summer, so it will enjoy the long holidays. Prabhas, Rana, Anushka, Tamannah, Satyaraj and Ramya Krishna are lead cast in the epic historical fiction film being produced on large scale by Shobhu Yarlagadda and Devineni Prasad. The second installment of Baahubali is sure to do far better business than the first one, due to huge hype on the project.
NTR not happy with ‘Flop’ comments
Young Tiger NTR fans are happy to see an NTR’s film making it to the fifty crore club. Although a section of trade circles disagrees with these claims, as per the production house Nannaku Prematho has made it to the fifty crore club. Despite the achievement, Nannaku Prematho is still being considered as a flop as the distributors couldn’t recover their investments.
Nannaku Prematho is a huge hit overseas but its performance in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is strictly average. Except for a couple of districts, the film didn’t break even in major areas like Nizam and Ceded. The closing theatrical business is also below the pre release business figures which mean the movie is not a success. Nannaku Prematho is very close to NTR’s heart.
The actor is not happy with the trade writing it off as a flop says the buzz. Young Tiger’s PR team has been doing their best to control the damage done by some trade tracking websites and news agencies. They are constantly stressing that Nannaku Prematho is the biggest hit in NTR’s career to make people believe that it is a hit.
Nannaku Prematho is the biggest grosser in the actor’s career but that doesn’t mean it is the biggest hit as it failed to recover its costs. Koratala Shiva has a job on hands to deliver an undisputed hit for Young Tiger with Janatha Garage as fans are getting restless about the comments against their matinee idol.
