Former Congress MP Undavalli Arun Kumar filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in Hyderabad High Court questioning the Central Government on what grounds it honoured Media Baron Ramoji Rao with Padma Vibhushan award.

If High Court accepts the PIL of Undavalli, Union Home Secretary, Chief Secretaries of Telugu States and Ramoji Rao will soon receive Notices seeking their explanation on the charge. Few weeks back, Undavalli convened a press conference at Somajiguda press club to announce his action plan.

He raised the point, ‘How can Centre felicitate Ramoji Rao with Padma Vibhushan award when he was yet to receive clean chit in Margadarsi chit fund & other cases filed against him?’. Undavalli waged a war against Ramoji Rao during former Chief Minister late YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s tenure.

He moved court against the Eenadu Group Chairman for allegedly cheating people in the disguise of Margadarsi Chit Fund. With Mr.Rao receiving Padma honour, Undavalli is yet again appearing in media quite often.

As soon as the news of Baahubali 2 release date broke out, the word spread like wild-fire. While movie lovers and Baahubali fans across the globe are celebrating it, only a section of people apparently expressed mixed reaction.

The section in question is none other than die-hard fans of Prabhas. Yes, you heard it right. Prabhas fans are said to be upset with maverick director SS Rajamouli for slating the film’s release for as late as April 2017 which is more than a year from now.

As per the initial planning the second part of the film (Baahubali: The Conclusion) was expected to see the light of the day in Summer 2016.With Baahubali: The Beginning saw several release dates and caused delay, this in turn affected the sequel.

The announcement certainly has poured water on the hopes of many Prabhas fans who were eagerly waiting to see their favourite matinee idol in Baahubali followed by a mass film while Mirchi being the last. This is not all.

Also, many are raising doubt whether Prabhas would tie the knot before the release of Baahubali 2 or will he wait till the release of Baahubali 2. If he waits till April 2017, this would also put them off as they’ve been waiting to see Prabhas as pellikoduku (bridegroom).

And there’s another section of Baahubali fans who can’t wait up to 2017 to know the answer for pertinent question ‘Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?’

Telugu native Tamil hero, Vishal’s Kathakali was first in Sankranthi race and was later pushed to the Republic day weekend. The audio release event of the film was also held but the movie got postponed in the last minute.

The makers have cited some Censor issue for the postponement back then. But then there is no news about the movie release since then. Now the makers are planning to release the movie on March 18th. As of now, the date is free and will offer competition free breathing space for Vishal if every thing goes as per plan. The movie is a flop in Tamil Nadu.

The makers will very soon begin the promotions in Telugu. The movie is being directed by Pandiaraj in Vishal’s home production. The director claims the movie is based on a real life event. Catherine Tresa and Regina Cassandra are playing the female leads in this movie which has music composed by Hiphop Tamizha.

Just when news about Prema seeking divorce from her husband Jeevan Appachu broke out, Another interesting update about the Senior Actress began doing rounds. Prema who returned to Bengaluru recently after being at New Zealand for some time claims she has turned down the offer of ‘Srimanthudu’ Makers.

‘I was approached to play Mahesh Babu’s Mother in ‘Srimanthudu’. But, I had to let it go as the role didn’t excite me. Willing to act in Telugu films if promising roles come my way,’ she reveals. At last, The offer went to Sukanya and that’s how ‘Peddarikam’ Combo materialized.

One must accept the fact that Mother character doesn’t have much importance in ‘Srimanthudu’. Sukanya got overshadowed by Jagapathi Babu who played Mahesh’s Father.

Incidentally, India’s biggest sporting event IPL will also be underway at the same time and Baahubali will surely pose a huge threat to IPL until at least a month after its release. That Baahubali is a nationwide brand loved by audiences across the country is a proven fact with the stupendous success the film registered with its first part.

Usually, filmmakers across the country feel the jitters to release their films during the 2 month long IPL season. But Baahubali is expected to do the reverse to IPL next year. The craze surrounding Baahubali 2 is humongous and if the film manages to get a hit talk, no doubt that it will play cricket with IPL until its theatrical run.
