Ram Charan’s Peddi Stands Out with Originality and Pan-India Appeal

Share

The true charm of Ram Charan’s Peddi lies in its refreshing originality and its ability to stand out without following a conventional formula. In an era where most commercial entertainers rely on predictable beats and familiar tropes, this project dares to break the mold.

The songs Chikiri and Rai Rai Raa Raa have become major talking points for precisely this reason. Unlike typical tracks, they offer a sound and energy that audiences haven’t experienced before. Free from recycled templates or borrowed vibes, both songs have the potential to become massive hits and instantly resonate with listeners.

Even the film’s teaser made waves nationwide without relying on action sequences, gore, or over-the-top violence—the usual tools of commercial success. Instead, it focused on mood, rhythm, and originality, demonstrating that quality content alone can generate excitement.

Director Buchi Babu Sana and his team have proven that originality is the ultimate trend. Buchi has shown that mass appeal doesn’t require excessive violence; presenting the audience with content in its authentic, original style can be the most powerful marketing strategy.

Interestingly, the film’s music, deeply rooted in Telugu culture, is gaining unexpected appreciation from Hindi-speaking audiences as well. This underscores that authentic, high-quality content naturally travels across regions, making forced multilingual packaging unnecessary for a pan-India reach.

Netanyahu Justifies US-Israel Strikes on Iran, Promises Quick Action

Share

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained the rationale behind the recent US-Israel strikes on Iran, stating that Tehran was rapidly strengthening its underground sites, which could have made its nuclear and ballistic missile programs untouchable within months.

Speaking to Fox News, Netanyahu said, “They started building new sites, underground bunkers, that would make their ballistic missile and atomic bomb programs immune within months. If no action was taken now, no action could be taken in the future.” He emphasized that the preemptive strikes were necessary to prevent Iran from becoming militarily invulnerable.

This statement contrasts with claims made by Netanyahu and former President Donald Trump after last year’s June strikes, when they described the attacks as a “historic victory” and asserted that Iran’s nuclear program had been “totally obliterated.”

Addressing concerns over a prolonged conflict, Netanyahu dismissed the idea of an extended war. “You’re not going to have an endless war because this terror regime in Iran is at its weakest point. This is going to be a quick and decisive action,” he said, adding that the strikes aim to create conditions for regime change in Iran. According to Netanyahu, “95 percent of the problems in the Middle East are generated by Iran.”

He also countered accusations that Israel had dragged the US into the conflict. “That’s ridiculous. Donald Trump is the strongest leader in the world. He does what he thinks is right for America, and what he thinks is right for future generations,” Netanyahu said.

ChatGPT Uninstalls Surge After OpenAI Pentagon Deal, Users Shift to Claude AI

Share

OpenAI’s recent agreement with the Pentagon has triggered a major backlash, leading to a surge in ChatGPT uninstalls. According to market intelligence firm Sensor Tower, uninstalls of the ChatGPT app in the U.S. spiked by 295% on February 28, following the announcement of the Department of Defense deal. Typically, the app records an average daily uninstall growth of about 9% over a 30-day period. Downloads also declined by 13% on February 28 and by an additional 5% on March 1.

In contrast, Anthropic’s Claude AI saw a 51% surge in users on February 28. The Claude app also claimed the No. 1 spot in the U.S. App Store’s productivity category, coinciding with the company’s announcement that it would not partner with the Pentagon.

User ratings for ChatGPT also reflect the backlash. One-star reviews jumped by 775% on February 28, and increased by 100% the following day, while five-star ratings dropped by 50%.

“Cancel ChatGPT” Movement

The OpenAI-Pentagon deal has sparked a “cancel ChatGPT” movement across social media. Users are not only uninstalling the app but also canceling paid subscriptions and sharing screenshots of their cancellations on platforms like Reddit and X (formerly Twitter). Many are recommending alternatives, with Claude AI emerging as the preferred replacement for those concerned about ethical AI use and surveillance.

Sam Altman Provides Clarification

In response to the backlash, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman addressed the concerns in an X post, clarifying the scope of the Pentagon deal. He stated that OpenAI’s AI systems will not be used for mass surveillance within the U.S. and will not be deployed by military intelligence agencies.

Altman cited the Fourth Amendment, the National Security Act of 1947, and the FISA Act of 1978, emphasizing that OpenAI will prohibit “deliberate tracking, surveillance, or monitoring of U.S. persons or nationals, including through the procurement or use of commercially acquired personal or identifiable information.” He further clarified that any use of OpenAI services by Department of War intelligence agencies, such as the NSA, would require a separate contract modification.

AWS Data Centres in UAE and Bahrain Hit by Drone Strikes, Services Disrupted

Share

Amazon Web Services (AWS) confirmed on March 1 that one of its data centres was struck by an object, triggering sparks and a fire inside the facility. A day later, on March 2, the company revealed that three of its facilities were impacted following drone strikes linked to escalating tensions involving Iran in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and a nearby incident in Bahrain.

According to the AWS Health Dashboard, the AWS Middle East (UAE) Region (ME-CENTRAL-1) and the AWS Middle East (Bahrain) Region (ME-SOUTH-1) are currently described as “significantly impaired.” Two facilities in the UAE sustained direct hits, while the Bahrain data centre was affected due to a drone strike in close proximity.

AWS stated that both regions suffered physical infrastructure damage as a result of the strikes, which disrupted power supply and caused structural harm. In some cases, fire suppression measures led to additional water damage within the facilities.

The company acknowledged that customers are experiencing elevated error rates and reduced service availability across multiple AWS offerings. These include Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon DynamoDB, AWS Lambda, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon RDS, as well as the AWS Management Console and CLI tools—services that support compute, storage, databases, serverless operations, analytics, monitoring, and infrastructure management.

AWS said it is actively working to restore services but warned that recovery efforts may take longer than usual due to the extent of the physical damage. The company is exploring software-based recovery solutions that do not rely solely on the affected facilities to re-establish data access and service functionality.

An update on restoration progress is expected by midnight, according to AWS. However, the company cautioned that ongoing regional instability could make operations unpredictable. Customers in the Gulf region have also been advised to expect extended delivery times for certain services.

Indian-American Student Among Three Killed in Austin Bar Shooting

Share

Three people, including a 21-year-old Indian-American student, were killed in a shooting outside Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden in Austin during the early hours of Sunday. Authorities believe the attack may have terror-related links. The suspect was shot dead by police at the scene.

The incident unfolded at approximately 1:59 a.m., when the gunman opened fire on patrons gathered at the popular downtown venue. According to police, officers responded within moments of the first emergency call and neutralized the attacker within a minute.

The victims have been identified as 19-year-old Ryder Harrington, 21-year-old Savitha Shan, and 30-year-old Jorge Pederson. More than a dozen others sustained injuries, with several reported to be in critical condition.

Savitha Shan, an Austin native, was a dual-degree senior at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Management Information Systems and Economics. University officials described her as an outstanding student leader who was just months away from graduating.

Her death has deeply impacted the Indian diaspora in Austin, especially among students and professionals in the city’s prominent “Silicon Hills” technology corridor. The University of Texas campus remained somber in the aftermath of the tragedy, as students and faculty voiced renewed concerns over gun violence.

The alleged gunman, identified as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, was a naturalized American citizen originally from Senegal. The FBI has launched an investigation into possible connections to terrorist organizations and is examining the motive behind the attack.

Authorities continue to conduct a comprehensive investigation as the city confronts yet another devastating episode of mass gun violence.

Emirates, Etihad Resume Limited Flights After UAE Airport Reopening

Share

UAE-based carriers Emirates and Etihad Airways announced on Monday that they will gradually resume a limited number of flights starting this evening, following Dubai Airports’ confirmation of a partial reopening. Airport operations had been suspended earlier due to escalating hostilities between the US-Israel alliance and Iran.

Emirates stated that services will restart in phases, with priority given to passengers who had earlier bookings. The airline confirmed it will directly contact customers who have been rebooked onto the limited flights.

“Passengers are advised not to proceed to the airport unless they have received confirmation from the airline,” Emirates said in an official statement.

All other scheduled flights remain suspended until further notice. The airline added that it is closely monitoring the evolving situation and will adjust operations accordingly. Updates will be shared via emirates.com and the airline’s official social media channels.

Expressing gratitude, Emirates thanked passengers for their patience and understanding, reiterating that the safety and security of customers and crew remain its top priority.

Meanwhile, Etihad Airways confirmed it will operate select repositioning, cargo, and repatriation flights in coordination with UAE authorities. These flights will be subject to strict operational and safety approvals.

The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority also issued a statement noting that “exceptional flights are now operating at UAE airports,” and urged passengers to wait for confirmed flight details from their respective airlines before heading to the airport to ensure smooth processing.

However, authorities have not yet provided a timeline for the full restoration of normal operations.

The partial reopening follows widespread airspace closures across the Gulf region amid missile and drone attacks linked to the intensifying conflict. Over the weekend, several Gulf airports reportedly sustained damage after Iran launched missiles and drones targeting US bases in the region.

The disruptions forced airlines to suspend operations, leaving thousands of passengers stranded in major transit hubs including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha.

Dubai International Airport, the world’s busiest international travel hub, had halted regular operations due to safety concerns. The shutdown significantly impacted global aviation networks, as Gulf carriers such as Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Qatar Airways operate major hub-and-spoke systems connecting Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Chiranjeevi’s Absence at Allu Sirish Reception Sparks Buzz

Share

The pre-wedding reception of Allu Sirish and Nayanika was celebrated in grand style yesterday, drawing massive attention from the Telugu film fraternity. The venue sparkled with glamour as several top stars gathered to bless the couple and be part of their joyous occasion.

Leading actors like Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, and Nandamuri Balakrishna graced the event, adding prestige and charm to the celebrations. The evening turned into a multi-starrer gathering filled with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt wishes for the soon-to-be-wed couple as they prepare to begin a new chapter in their lives.

However, one notable absence quickly became the most talked-about topic — megastar Chiranjeevi. As the eldest pillar of the Allu–Mega family, many fans and industry insiders were eager to see him attend and bless the couple.

Sources later revealed that Chiranjeevi has been dealing with a shoulder and hand issue. A supporting bandage was reportedly removed just yesterday, and doctors advised him to avoid crowded gatherings for the time being. Following medical guidance, he chose to stay home and focus on recovery.

When asked about the absence of other Mega family members, it was clarified that although Nagababu and Chiranjeevi could not attend, other family members were present at the function.

Regarding Pawan Kalyan, there was no official clarification. Speculation suggests political commitments or other personal reasons may have prevented his presence. Notably, Pawan Kalyan’s wife was also not seen at the reception.

With all the Mega brothers absent, discussions continue within fan circles, even as the celebration itself remained a grand and memorable affair.

Kartik Aaryan to Headline Kabir Khan’s Inspiring Sports Drama

Share

Director Kabir Khan is teaming up once again with Kartik Aaryan for a powerful new sports drama inspired by the remarkable life of Tajamul Islam, India’s youngest kickboxing world champion.

In the yet-untitled film, Kartik will reportedly play a determined kickboxing coach who mentors a young girl from a conflict-affected region, helping her navigate intense challenges and fierce competition on her path to championship glory. The story promises to highlight resilience, courage, and unwavering ambition.

There is strong buzz that popular actress Sreeleela is in talks to play a pivotal role opposite Kartik. While an official confirmation is still awaited, industry insiders suggest that discussions are at an advanced stage and a final decision may be announced soon.

If confirmed, this would mark Sreeleela’s second collaboration with Kartik after her Hindi debut venture Aashiqui 3 (tentative title). A successful run for these projects could significantly boost her presence in Bollywood.

The film has already commenced shooting in Kashmir, with Kartik completing the first schedule. The team is expected to resume an extensive filming schedule shortly. To authentically portray his character, Kartik has reportedly undergone rigorous physical training and preparation.

With its emotionally charged narrative and inspiring real-life foundation, the makers are eyeing a theatrical release in mid-2027.

Director Sudheer Sriram Calls Out Tollywood’s Treatment of New Filmmakers

Share

There is a popular belief that Tollywood is a welcoming space for fresh talent and innovative storytellers. Producers often state that they are open to new ideas and encourage aspiring filmmakers to bring unique scripts to the table. However, according to several young directors, the reality behind the scenes can be very different.

While many newcomers choose to remain silent about their experiences due to fear of losing opportunities, a few have begun speaking out about the struggles they face while trying to secure their first big break.

One such voice is Sudheer Sriram, director of Sampradayani Suppini Sudhhapusani. He recently opened up about the challenges he encountered when approaching individuals associated with prominent production houses. According to him, initial conversations with well-known producers often seemed promising, with interest shown in his ideas. However, the enthusiasm reportedly faded without explanation, leaving him in prolonged uncertainty.

Sudheer expressed disappointment over what he described as a pattern of disregard toward young directors. He pointed out that representatives of top producers frequently keep filmmakers waiting for extended periods without giving clear feedback on their scripts. This lack of communication, he said, places immense pressure on aspiring directors, erodes their confidence, and leaves them feeling demoralised.

He further stressed that such treatment can be emotionally draining, especially for those pinning their hopes on one breakthrough opportunity that could change their careers.

The issue raises a larger question about accountability within the industry. If Tollywood truly aims to nurture new talent, industry stakeholders may need to ensure that emerging directors are treated with professionalism and transparency—rather than being left at the mercy of intermediaries.

The conversation sparked by Sudheer’s remarks highlights the need for a more structured and respectful approach toward upcoming filmmakers striving to find their footing in the industry.

Kriti Sanon Slays at Zee Cine Awards 2026

Share

Mumbai transformed into a glamorous fashion runway at the Zee Cine Awards 2026, where Bollywood’s biggest names brought their finest style statements to the red carpet. While the evening celebrated cinematic excellence, it was the standout fashion moments that truly grabbed attention.

Among both rising stars and established A-listers, Kriti Sanon emerged as one of the most talked-about celebrities of the night. After receiving appreciation for her performance in Tere Ishq Mein earlier this year, she once again impressed fans with her commanding presence and effortless charm.

Kriti dazzled in a striking brown gown by renowned designer Elie Saab. The ensemble featured bold cut-outs, a flowy silhouette, and a dramatic thigh-high slit that added a touch of glamour to her look. She kept her styling refined with stacked statement bracelets and delicate earrings. Leaving her hair loose and natural, she perfectly balanced the daring design with a relaxed yet polished finish.

The overall appearance was modern, confident, and effortlessly chic—securing her spot among the best-dressed stars of the evening.

On the professional front, Kriti is gearing up for her next big project, Cocktail 2, where she will share screen space with Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.

Kerala Story 2 Falls Short at Box Office

Share

Kerala Story sequel Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond finally made its way to theatres after weeks of intense media scrutiny, court hearings, and temporary stays that delayed its release. However, despite the controversy-driven buzz, the film has struggled to replicate the success of its predecessor.

The first installment, released in 2023, benefited greatly from the novelty of its subject and the widespread curiosity it generated. This time, however, the sequel’s reliance on a similar dramatic template appears to have weakened its impact, with audiences showing noticeably less enthusiasm for a repeated narrative approach.

The box-office numbers reflect this dip in interest. In its first four days, the film has managed to collect approximately ₹13 crore net — a figure considered underwhelming given the scale of pre-release hype and the recall value of the franchise.

Trade analysts point out that the collections are significantly lower than expected for a follow-up to a previously successful and widely discussed film. The response suggests that while controversy and aggressive promotions can create initial buzz, sustained audience engagement ultimately depends on fresh storytelling and evolved content.

Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and produced by Vipul Amritlal Shah, the film hit theatres on February 27.

The lukewarm reception serves as a reminder of the challenges sequels face — particularly when they fail to expand beyond the core idea that once made the original a talking point.

Ahaan Panday’s Painful Surgery After Saiyaara Success

Share

After delivering a blockbuster debut with Saiyaara, Ahaan Panday was basking in the glory of overnight stardom. However, behind the scenes, the young actor was fighting a painful personal battle that fans knew nothing about.

In a recent interview with Esquire India, Ahaan revealed that he quietly underwent a major surgery soon after the film’s release last year. Despite riding high on success, he chose to address a long-standing physical issue that had been troubling him for years.

The surgery, which he described as “one of the most painful procedures you can undergo,” required an extensive recovery period. The issue stemmed from an old snowmobile accident that resulted in a severe shoulder subluxation, significantly affecting his mobility and gym training.

Determined to fully recover before signing his next action-packed project, Ahaan decided to go ahead with the procedure—even though doctors cautioned him that his body would “go back to zero,” making it extremely difficult to rebuild the physique required for an action film.

What followed were months of intense recovery, including a prolonged period in a cast. Surprisingly, the entire phase went largely unnoticed. “I don’t know how nobody realised!” Ahaan remarked, expressing amusement over how he managed to keep it under wraps.

Now fully recovered and back in action, the actor says the challenging phase only strengthened his resolve and helped him prove doubters wrong.

Ahaan is currently preparing for a high-octane action entertainer directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, which also stars Sharvari. The yet-untitled film is scheduled to go on floors on March 30 in Mumbai, followed by a 60-day shooting schedule in the UK.

As part of his transformation for the role, Ahaan is undergoing nearly seven hours of physical training every day, including rigorous action rehearsals and strength training. With renewed determination and discipline, he is gearing up for his next big-screen avatar.

Rashmika–Vijay’s Royal Sangeet Glimpses Go Viral

Share

Love was in the air as Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda treated fans to magical glimpses from their dreamy wedding celebrations. One beautiful moment at a time, the couple has been sharing highlights that perfectly capture the joy of their union.

Ahead of their much-anticipated reception, the duo dropped stunning pictures from their Sangeet ceremony held on February 24 at ITC Mementos, Udaipur. The wedding itself took place on February 26 in the presence of close friends and family.

For the glittering Sangeet night, Rashmika dazzled in a custom silver lehenga by designer duo Falguni Shane Peacock India, while Vijay complemented her in a jewel-studded black ensemble. Their coordinated outfits, complete with dramatic capes, added a regal charm to the evening.

The pictures radiated warmth, laughter, and love. A heartwarming family portrait featured Vijay’s parents and brother Anand alongside Rashmika’s parents and her younger sister Shiman Mandanna. The celebration reportedly went on till 4 am, with the couple and their loved ones dancing the night away.

Sharing her emotions, Rashmika described the Sangeet as “a night filled with love, tears of joy, laughter, music and glitter,” calling it the most fun night ever. Both families surprised each other with energetic dance performances, making the evening even more special.

Honouring their roots, the couple embraced both traditions on their wedding day — a Telugu ceremony in the morning followed by a beautiful Kodava-style wedding in the evening. The festivities, which began on February 23, included a Japanese dinner, pool volleyball, and a friendly cricket match titled the “VIROSH Premiere League.” Intimate haldi and mehendi ceremonies added to the charm of the celebrations.

The guest list included filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, director-actor Tharun Bhascker, filmmaker Rahul Ravindran, and actresses Eesha Rebba, Ashika Ranganath, and Kalyani Priyadarshan.

Although the reception was initially planned as a grand gathering for members of the film fraternity and prominent leaders, it has now been restricted to invite-only guests due to security reasons. In a statement, the couple requested fans to understand their decision, emphasizing that their safety and happiness mean everything to them.

The couple also extended a special invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bless them during the celebrations.
