Akhil’s 2nd Film is a Remake

After several months of speculation, Akhil Akkineni finally seems to have arrived at conclusion on what his second movie going to be. As per the latest reports in film nagar, Akhil’s second film is going to be very big. Akhil has chosen to do Telugu remake of Bollywood hit Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD).

Said to have impressed with Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer, Akhil finally decided to reprise Ranbir’s role in the original. Since Dharma Productions won’t sell remake rights of their films, Nagarjuna apparently agreed to have a strategic tie-up with the Bollywood production house.

Annapurna Studios and Dharma Productions’ would soon make an official announcement on the film. It’s learnt that formalities are under process. Also talk is that a team of writers are asked to work on the script to fine tune it to suit to the Telugu nativity.

The director is yet to be finalised for this prestigious film and if all goes on well, the film will go onto floors in April end or early May.

Hyd Beauty’s Bollywood Debut In Item Song

Been in Tollywood since more than a decade, the Hyderabad-based Punjabi beauty Poonam Kaur is also a popular actress in Tamil, Kannada and Malayali fim industries. In a much deserved break, Poonam has finally grabbed her debut Bollywood project.

Poonam has been paired opposite Bollywood’s sensuous beauty Bipasha Basu’s rumoured boyfriend Karan Singh Grover in the latter’s upcoming comedy drama 3Dev. However, Poonam will only be sizzling in an item song in the film and the peppy number was shot in Mumbai recently.

Poonam apparently, has also packed her bags and moved her base to Mumbai soon after she signed 3Dev. Poonam’s last few notable Telugu releases were Superstar Kidnap and Sudheer Babu’s Aadu Magadra Bujji.

Sardaar Gabbar Singh Intro song starts rolling

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan started shooting for the introduction song of his Sardaar Gabbar Singh today in Hyderabad. Devi Sri Prasad reportedly gave a superb tune for the song. With this shooting of the three songs of the movie will be completed.

The audio release event of the film will take place on 12th of March. The team will fly abroad for the shooting of two songs after the audio release event is done. The makers have already announced their plans of releasing on April 8th as Summer special.

The hype and expectations on the film are skyrocketing as the release date is nearing. Kajal Aggarwal is romancing Pawan Kalyan for the first time in this film. The movie is a hot cake in trade and it is witnessing never before offers from trade.

According to the current trend, the pre-release business of the movie is going towards 80-90 Crore excluding the satellite rights which means Eros International, the film rights holder will end up with huge table profit. Power fame Bobby is wielding megaphone for this film.

Yesterday, the dynamics of AP politics gained a steep momentum with 4 MLAs and 1 MLC belonging to YSRCP bid their goodbye to Jagan and joined TDP in Chandrababu’s presence. Among these defected YSRCP MLAs was Jammalamadugu MLA Adinarayana Reddy.

Adinarayana Reddy getting a warm welcome into TDP by Babu himself didn’t go down well with the Jammalamadugu TDP in-charge and former minister Rama Subbareddy and his aunt and former minister Siva Reddy’s wife Lakshmidevamma who met Babu and vehemently opposed Adinarayana’s entry into TDP.

Expressing her severe anguish on the low level politics where opportunistic leaders are changing their colors and are joining the party which they badmouthed in the past, Lakshmidevamma broke down into tears and asked Babu how could he welcome Adinarayana Reddy, who caused them numerous hardships over the years, into TDP.

Lakshmidevamma also said that she lost her husband and that her family sacrificed a lot for the sake of TDP’s rise in Kadapa. Babu tried hard to explain to Lakshmidevamma that Adinarayana Reddy’s inclusion into TDP was only to strengthen the party’s roots in the region and he succeeded in convincing her in the end as Lakshmidevamma gave her nod even though a bit reluctantly.

A lot of young starlets step into Tollywood and test their luck each Friday. However, only a very few make the cut and attract the industry’s attention. One such actress who impressed everyone lately is the young and vivacious Kannada beauty Nikki Galrani.

Nikki Galrani is the younger sister of Prabhas’ Bujjigadu heroine Sanjjana Galrani. The 23-year-old beauty first made her acting debut in Malayalam in 2014 with the film 1983 and even won a Filmfare for Best Debut Actress.

Last Friday, Nikki appeared in not just one but two films, Krishnashtami and Malupu. Even though both her debut films failed to set the cash registers ringing, Tollywood filmmakers already took notice of Nikki’s bubbly performance and glamorous looks and she is now one of the most sought after actresses among the younger lot.

While most of the starlets were roped in only for glamour exhibition, the makers of Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamannah Bhatia starrer Oopiri (Thozha in Tamil) have a reason for zeroing in the foreign talent Gabriella Demetriades in their film. Gabriella has essayed an important role opposite Nagarjuna in the emotional and pleasant saga.

She has all praises for her co-stars, especially Nagarjuna. Gabriella says, it was lovely working with Nagarjuna who according to her is a natural actor makes his co-stars feel comfy. “I played the role of a girl he (Nagarjuna) meets while traveling and opens up a different side of him,” discloses Gabriella.

Born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Gabriella moved to India almost seven years ago. She had a very successful modeling career and waited for right film for film debut. She feels Oopiri is the film she anticipated such long time for film entry.

Directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced under PVP Cinemas, Oopiri is done with production works and currently post production works are underway. The feel good movie is due for release on March 25th.

Supreme Hero Now Turns Gang Leader

With just his third release Subrahmanyam For Sale, young Mega Hero Sai Dharam Tej acquired the title Supreme, a title his uncle Chiranjeevi earned even before her became a Megastar. Not stopping there, Sai even got his upcoming film titled as Supreme.

And for his next film, the young hero is all set to turn Gang Leader for his next film under the direction of Gopichand Malineni. Now, one needs no introduction to this iconic yesteryear film which had Sai’s uncle Chiru setting the screens ablaze with his out and out mass avatar.

For the latest Gang Leader, Sai got popular producer Nallamalupu Bujji to bankroll the film. Since last year, there have been several reports that Gopichand Malineni will team up with another young Mega hero Varun Tej for a sports based action drama. One wonders if Gopichand has tweaked the same subject for Sai now.
