TRS shocked two Telugu states with its thumping triumph in GHMC Elections wiping out its main rivals TDP and Congress from the map of Hyderabad. Despite immaculate and impressive campaign by TDP, nothing worked in favor of them.

While analysts and citizens have their own analysis behind this invincible win, a set of people around him started giving credit to Ayuta Chandi Yagam performed by KCR in his farm house a few months ago. The Ayuta Chandi Yagam was mainly performed to eradicate famine and drought as well as prosper the state with wealth.

Ever since the T-TDP’s MLA Revanth Reddy suggested to Chandrababu that the party’s central committee’s General Secretary Nara Lokesh should be made a union minister to give him additional powers so he can dictate terms to the officials in Telangana, there have been several voices of dissent among the political circles and even common people.

Many are of the opinion that leaders should be given power for the sake of the public and not for the party’s welfare alone. “Lokesh has just started off as a politician, he has a long way to go before he becomes a union minister and dictate terms to bureaucrats and other government officers,” people say.

Also, Lokesh has not yet contested in general elections and won people’s mandate so he is yet to prove his worth. Even in the GHMC polls that concluded recently, the young Nara scion failed to show any impact and TDP faced a shameful setback.

People are no longer innocent to believe those politicians who just limit themselves to commenting on their opponents. So, people want Lokesh to first ensure that all of TDP’s poll promises are fulfilled and then get down to work at the grass root level, before he dreams of a union ministry.

Till then, any attempts by TDP to step up Lokesh’s political rise through other means will only send wrong signals among the people and this may even backfire at the party itself.

Continuing the ongoing controversies surrounding his upcoming film Vangaveeti, RGV found himself to be a target of several irked Congress leaders in Vizag, who appealed to the Superintendent of the Vizag Mental Hospital to treat RGV calling him a mentally retarded person.

In a fitting retort, RGV gave a huge ‘shock’ to the Congress leaders. In his reaction, RGV said, “To undergo treatment, I at least have brain, but these Congress leaders are blabbering at me since they don’t even have a brain.”

Continuing his mockery of the Congress leaders, RGV further said, “Congress leaders have proved that human beings can survive even without having a brain.” Finally, RGV concluded saying, “I am going to request Narendra Modi to send these Congress leaders to America for advanced medical research.”

Popular film star and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna is determined to make the Lepakshi Festival a grand success. For the last one week, Balayya has been meeting the who’s who in the political and film worlds in both the Telugu states and at the centre to invite them to the 2-day festival which will take place on February 27, 28 in Lepakshi, Ananthapur.

During a meeting with the festival officials to supervise the arrangements, Balayya said that the festival will showcase the rich sculptural and artistic heritage of Lepakshi, along with the legacy of Telugu history, culture and traditions to the world and especially the foreign tourists who regularly visit Lepakshi.

Talking about Telugu unity, Balayya said that even though we are divided by region, language and customs, all Teluguites are one. Recently, Balayya met several Telangana leaders to invite them to Lepakshi festival and told them that the festival will be held as an Andhra-Telangana festival in total harmony and brotherhood.
