People Want KTR To Be KCR’s Political Heir: Kavitha
After Telangana CM and TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao started openly promoting his son IT minister K T Rama Rao as his political heir by entrusting entire GHMC poll campaigning responsibility recently, KCR’s daughter and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha also came in open support for her brother KTR on Saturday.
Speaking to media Kavitha said people in Telangana strongly feel that KTR should be the political heir of KCR and that she also feels the same way.
Kavitha complimented her brother KTR for ensuring landslide victory for TRS in GHMC elections by managing the entire party’s poll campaigning single handedly.
Kavitha also commented that the GHMC results proved that there was no place for any other party in Telangana except TRS in future.
She urged all Opposition parties to give good suggestions and make constructive criticism against TRS government, if they want to survive in Telangana.
An Excuse To Jump Ship
T-TDP MLA and BC leader Krishnaiah has threatened an agitation against including Kapus in the BC list.
Now if Kapus are included in the BC list, it will in no way affect those in Telangana. Since Krishnaiah is a Telanganite, it is heart -warming to see his concern for BC’s of AP. But is he really a champion of BC rights or a champion of his own interests?
Why did Krishnaiah not speak out when CBN included reservation to Kapus in the TDP agenda? Some time back, there were rumors that Krishnaiah would be joining the TRS.
After the TRS clean sweep in GHMC, there is nothing Krishnaiah can achieve in the TDP. Hence, he might be taking the reservation issue as a pretext to jump ship and join the TRS.
But Krishnaiah’s integrity is definitely questionable. Why was he silent when KCR removed 32 castes from the list of BC’s, after TRS came to power?
Behind The Scene: Bye Bye Harish Rao
The most significant statement after the GHMC poll victory came from Kavitha, KCR’s daughter. She said that the people of Telangana were looking to KTR as the political heir of KCR and she personally felt the same way.
The landslide victory in Hyderabad has finally emboldened the Kalavakuntla family to come out in the open. This should put an end to whatever aspirations Harish Rao had for the CM chair.
After KCR, Harish Rao was considered the most capable person in TRS with many rating him well above KTR. He was the principal troubleshooter for the TRS party. But KTR successfully maneuvering the GHMC polls has strengthened hi in the eyes of everyone.
At one stage when YSR was alive, the TRS agitation had completely fizzled out and Harish Rao himself would have joined the Congress but for the untimely death of YSR which changed the history of the Telugus.
This statement by Kavitha now makes it clear that Harish Rao would have to play second fiddle to KTR or else keep his dignity by going to Rajya Sabha or Lok Sabha. As someone said, the only threat to the TRS can come from within.
Andhra’s Kapu leader, wife continue fast on quota issue
Visakhapatnam: Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham and his wife on Sunday continued their indefinite fast for the third day in support of the demand for reservation for the community in education and jobs in Andhra Pradesh.
The former minister and his wife Padmavati have been fasting at their house at Kirlampudi in East Godavari district since Friday. The couple locked themselves up and refused to undergo medical check-up.
Though Joint Collector Satyanarayana and district Superintendent of Police Ravi Prakash along with a team of doctors reached Mudragada’s house on Sunday, the couple sent them back. The officers made a similar attempt on Saturday night as well.
The Kapu leader said there was no need for check-up since the couple had decided to dedicate their lives for the Kapu community’s cause. He also accused police of preventing people from visiting his house.
Meanwhile, police and paramilitary forces were deployed near the house amid indications that the fasting couple may be forcibly shifted to a hospital to break their fast.
They are demanding inclusion of the Kapus in a list of backward classes and reservation for the community in education and jobs. They are also seeking Rs.1,900 crore for a Kapu corporation.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu earlier appealed to Mudragada to call off his fast and assured that the Andhra Pradesh government was committed to fulfil its promise to include the Kapus in the BC list.
The government has said a commission will make a detailed study of the socio-economic status of the Kapus and recommend the quantum of reservation to be provided.
Meanwhile, police have made tight security arrangements across the district and enforced orders banning assembly of 10 or more people.
Deployment of security forces has been made in Tuni town that witnessed large-scale violence last Sunday when protestors set afire a train, two police stations and several vehicles.
The Kapus account for 27 percent of nearly five crore population of Andhra Pradesh.
KTR Gets Additional Portfolio
Hyderabad: Telangana’s Information Technology and Panchayat Raj Minister K.T. Rama Rao has been allocated additional portfolio of municipal administration and urban development.
State Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Sunday allocated the additional portfolio, which was held by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Rama Rao is son of Chandrasekhar Rao, who is also the president of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
The development came two days after the ruling party achieved a historic victory in the elections to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), bagging 99 seats in 150-member body.
KTR, as Rama Rao is popularly known, had led the TRS campaign in the elections. His father had announced at an election meeting that he would be given the additional portfolio.
That Creative Director Is An Alcohol Addict!
Hyderabad: He is one of the few directors who mesmerize everyone with his creative ideas. He hasn’t made many films in his career so far but has made some unforgettable classics already.
He keeps on switching between the genres and shows immense command over any genre. Even the top directors feel jealous of talent. However, even the creative minds will have some or the other weakness. This director too has one.
As per grapevine, this director is a big drunkard. He continuously drinks from evening till midnight. He will have discussions with his direction department during this time.
But he forgets most of it by the morning and comes up with newer ideas for the same scenes that were finalized last night. His direction department has to make immediate arrangements as per the changed scene.
He will get irritated and walks off the sets if anyone tries to argue with him. Any scene that he conceives will be very impressive that there won’t be any negative impact on the output.
People close to him say that he can be the number one director in India if he gets over his drinking addiction.

Sad Release For A Landmark Film
‘Tanu Monne Vellipoyindi’ was the 25th film as director for Senior Vamsi. In a career spanning over three decades, Vamsi has done only 25 films when his contemporaries were making 3 to 4 films a year.
However, with classics like ‘Sitara’, ‘Anveshana’, ‘Ladies Tailor’, ‘April 1 Vidula’, ‘Kanakamahalaksmi Recording Dance Troupe’, ‘Avunu Valliddaru Ishtapaddaru’ etc, he is one of the few directors who can bring the masses to the theatre on the strength of his name alone.
Nevertheless, times have changed and ‘Tanu Monne Vellipoyindi’ was in the cans for nearly two years for want of buyers. The title of the film was changed to ‘Vennelo Hay Hay’ but it has had no perceptible change in terms of attracting buyers.
This week, the film had a silent release and there are newspaper ads being given out by the makers declaring it as the first super hit movie with family sentiment in 2016.
Only then have people realized that the movie was released. Fans of Vamsi are now scouring the theatres list to watch his magic once again on screen.
