KCR’s Favorite Shopping Destination
Telangana CM KCR is undoubtedly one of the most powerful and charismatic leaders in the Telugu states. The TRS supremo, even though commands a huge fan following, leads a simple lifestyle in his personal life. The firebrand politician is mostly seen dressed in white khadi.
Already, KCR’s passion for farming and literature is well known to millions of his ardent admirers. However, they all might as well be curious to know a bit more about other amusing facts about KCR. In one such interesting tidbit, KCR himself revealed about his favorite shopping destination.
Earlier today, KCR visited Sai Khadi Bhandar, an oldest clothes showroom in Hyderguda and purchased clothes. KCR even gave his measurements for stitching. Speaking on this occasion, KCR revealed that he has been buying all his clothes at Sai Khadi Bhandar for the past 25 years.Interestingly, this is the first time KCR purchased clothes after he became the CM of Telangana.
Star Heroes’ ‘Science Fiction’ Clash
It does not happen much often, where two star heroes same genre films come out at the same time. And that raises the bar when they are Tamil superstars Suriya and Vikram with their ’24’ and ‘Iru Magan’ respectively.
Suriya left us no clue about the story if his ’24’ and no one can hit a guess of it by just looking at those posters. After getting huge response and applause for a story like Manam, director Vikram Kumar is directing Suriya for ’24’.
The crew revealed it to be a science fiction film that deals with a unique concept. Now falling in the same genre, Chiyaan Vikram new movie ‘Iru Magan’ first look poster is hinting of another super scientific thriller and like always, Vikram will be seen in a new look.
Though the two films must be having their own and unique concepts for sure, people started linking these two films for their ‘Science fiction thriller’ tag, star heroes with equally good fame and most importantly the time they are set for release. Can’t blame them, when the posters of them are having resemblance at large!
Nagarjuna Occupying Theaters
All the Pongal releases are doing well accordingly in targeted areas. However, Nagarjuna’s Soggade Chinni Nayana is the only film that is performing well in all the centers and is going to be a genuine hit. The movie has landed in the second place at the worldwide box office in its first weekend in the business chart, pushing Dictator and Express Raja.
Soggade Chinni Nayana released late in the competition is ahead of other outings. With positive mouth talk, the family entertainer is running successfully with houseful collections everywhere. So, additional theaters are added for this movie in several areas. This means, other films are to lose theaters for Nag’s production venture.
Keeping his market value in mind, Nagarjuna spent only decent budget on Soggade Chinni Nayana, although production values are good. In fact, Nagarjuna spent money at only needed areas. They didn’t go for any exotic foreign locations and the film was mostly shot in Telugu states. The Kalyan Krishna directorial got limited theaters in several areas, because of heavy competition. Owing to heavy rush for the film, extra theaters are added.
After a long time, a full length family entertainer in rural backdrop has come. Hence, families are giving first priority to Nagarjuna’s film, out of Sankranthi releases. In fact, films with good entertainment will always do magic at box office.
Prabhas To Get Married This Year!
The most eligible bachelor of Tollywood is all set to get married this year. Superstar Prabhas will settle down this year once the shoot of Baahubali 2 will be completed. His uncle Krishnam Raju confirmed this. The senior actor said that during Sankranthi festival, Prabhas promised him that he will bind into matrimony this year.
The family is yet to finalize and girl for him. Krishnam Raju added that it will be an arranged marriage. The family has already started looking out for a girl for him. Krishnam Raju further informed that Prabhas will also be acting in the lead role in a movie from his home production.
Post Baahubali this film will go on floor and it will be a romantic entertainer. Krishnam Raju elaborated that the character that Prabhas plays will be something close to James Bond. He vouched that the audiences will love him in that film. Currently they are finalizing the script of this film.
Rebels Force TRS Leaders Go Into Huddle!
The ruling TRS which was way miles ahead of all other parties with its huge publicity blitz in GHMC elections till recently, is suddenly seen nowhere after the deadline for filing GHMC nominations ended on January 17. The reason, as many as 888 TRS candidates filed nominations for 150 GHMC seats. Barring 150 official candidates, the rest 730 candidates are in fray as rebels giving sleepless nights to TRS leadership.
With this, all the top TRS leaders from KTR to ministers and TRS MPs, MLAs to MLCs, went into a huddle unable to know how to pacify rebels to withdraw their nominations. The party which was confident of winning 100 seats till recently, is worried that rebels may play spoilsport and it would be difficult to win even 50 seats in the present situation due to split of votes if rebels refuse to withdraw their nominations.
The Opposition parties are seen enjoying at the plight of TRS saying that the party encouraged heavy defections from all parties before GHMC polls and admitted all leaders left, right and centre promising tickets and paying the price now for not in a position to satisfy all these defected leaders with tickets.
They say the TRS has fell in it’s own trap in a bid to weaken other parties. The TRS top leaders who are busy pacifying rebels to withdraw nominations are finding no time to take up campaigning activities at this crucial juncture.
A Long Way To Go For Nannaku Prematho And Dictator
Nannaku Prematho has entered into the forty crore club (distributor share) within its first week run. With a decent Monday the movie proves that it has legs to go further to become the first fifty crore movie for NTR Junior. Even though this is a very good opening considering the four way clash and the genre, Nannaku Prematho still has a long way to go to be termed as a hit.
Nannaku Prematho is a super hit in overseas, but it should do well for another weekend to enter the safe zone in Telugu states. As per trade this movie should collect Rs. 55 crore distributor’s share to be considered as a hit. Dictator too had a promising start thanks to Balakrishna’s mass following. The movie has collected somewhere around Rs. 14 crore (distributor share) in its first weekend. It should collect another 14 crore to breakeven.
On the other hand Soggade Chinni Nayana is either breakeven or into profits everywhere. It is looking good to collect at least Rs. 30 crore share in its full run.
Express Raja too is nearing breakeven mark. It should do around Rs. 8 crore business to get back its investment (not taking satellite rights into consideration). It is all set to collect over Rs. 12 crore from the theatricals.
Why is Rajamouli Not Tweeting About Nannaku Prematho!
Baahubali director Rajamouli has not tweeted a single post about his good friend NTR or his latest movie Nannaku Prematho. While the film has got mixed talk, NTR has received unanimous response from everyone for his complete makeover and stylized classy performance. Strangely, not a single tweet appreciating his friend came from Rajamouli.
It was Rajamouli who reportedly advised NTR to take up this Sukumar’s movie when he was in dilemma to do or not to, as Sukumar’s 1 Nenokkadine was panned by all. Many a times, Rajamouli said he likes Sukumar’s direction among his contemporaries in Tollywood and he wanted NTR to do film in the direction of Sukumar.
Although Rajamouli appreciated NTR and Sukumar when the movie’s theatrical trailer was launched, he didn’t tweet after the release of the movie. In the past, Rajamouli used to tweet about all new releases he had watched but after Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’s release, he has stopped tweeting anything about new Telugu movies. Speculations have started about his silence on NTR’s movie.
Apple to allow users to delete default apps
Annoyed with the inbuilt apps on iPhone which occupy massive storage space on device? This will come to an end soon as the latest version of Apple’s iOS9 iteration-903 beta-allows the user to delete the apps.
After making the iOS 9.3 beta version available to the developers for testing, Apple recently released beta version for non-developers.
Since the iOS was launched years back, it was impossible to remove the in-built apps. Maximum that could be done was to hide them, but storage anyhow was in use.
Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that they are looking for ways of letting user delete the native apps too. Currently, there are 32 in-built apps.
Besides the rarely used apps like Find Friends, podcasts, important apps like settings if deleted might affect the functioning of the phone.
Nithya and Keerthy For Tollywood Cousins
Some time ago, Mani Ratman planned a Telugu-Tamil bilingual starring Karthi, Dulquer Salmaan, Keerthy Suresh and Nithya Menon in lead roles. Then, Nani replaced Dulquer due to clash of dates. Finally, The project was shelved for undisclosed reasons.
Buzz is that Mani Ratnam is reviving the project by casting Rana Daggubati and Naga Chaitanya as male leads. Keerthy Suresh and Nithya Menon are likely to be playing their love interests. If possible, Mani is keen on making this Telugu multi-starrer a bilingual.
Touted to be a revenge drama, Mani Ratnam’s ambitious project failed to go on floors twice already. Initially, Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna were approached for the project but that didn’t materialize.
Then, Karthi and Dulquer Salmaan/Nani came on board. At last, Grandsons of D Ramanaidu are under consideration. Will it work out in the third attempt?

SCN Director’s Next With Akhil Akkineni
Director Kalyan Krishna who is currently basking in the glory of Soggade Chinni Nayana’s blockbuster success is likely to do his second film under Annapurna Studios. If the buzz from the film circles is to be believed, Akhil Akkineni will be playing the lead role in it.
Kalyan Krishna’s sincerity and dedication has impressed Nagarjuna so much that he has offered to do another movie with the young director. Kalyan Krishna has a line that suits a youngster and Nagarjuna asked him to work on it. If everything falls in place Kalyan would be directing Akhil soon.
Akhil Akkineni hasn’t yet signed up any film after the debacle of his debut movie Akhil. Nagarjuna is in talks with few star directors for the same. Although Akhil’s second film is yet to be confirmed, it is clear that one of Akhil’s future projects will be under Kalyan Krishna’s direction.
