Actor Asin Thottumkal and her fiancé, Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma, will get married in New Delhi on January 19. The couple will reportedly have a church wedding in the morning, followed by another Hindu ceremony in the evening at Dusit Devrana. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who is in the Capital to promote his upcoming film Airlift, is expected to attend the events. Akshay was also the person who introduced Asin to Rahul.

While Delhi functions are for close family and friends, the couple will host a reception in Mumbai on January 23, which will be attended by Bollywood stars. While the white-themed Christian wedding will happen in the morning at the makeshift church created in the hotel premises itself, a mandap is being erected on a water body for the Hindu ceremony at night.

A source further says: “Both the ceremonies will be private. While around 50 guests are invited for the Christian wedding, the Hindu ceremony will be attended by 200 guests. In all likelihood, there will also be a private house party next day at Rahul’s farmhouse at Sonali Farms, West End Greens.”

A special 10-tier vanilla-flavoured cake is being designed for the occasion. The menu of the events will be strictly vegetarian. Asin will be seen wearing designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s creations at her wedding functions. She shared her wedding card on Instagram on Monday.

Ram Charan got a shock of his life with Nannaku Prematho as Sukumar copied some key scenes from Tamil film Thani Oruvan. That movie clicked in Tamilnadu because of the mind games between the hero and villain characters. Sukumar used the essence of it to write different screenplay but remaking Thani Oruvan in Telugu won’t be a good idea anymore.

Until Sankranthi, Ram Charan was gearing up for the Telugu remake of Thani Oruvan that was supposed to roll on from February. Now they had to rethink about the remake and see if they could do any changes to the screenplay so that our audience doesn’t get a feeling that it is inspired by Nannaku Prematho!

Charan currently is facing similar issues that NTR has faced at one stage. NTR had to go for a complete makeover to expand his audience. He has been successful in doing it with some genuinely risky attempts. Charan is under severe pressure to take risks as big as NTR to get back on track. Thani Oruvan could have been a welcome change for him, but he would look like a copy cat if he does it now, because of Nannaku Prematho.

A new schedule of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali will begin from tomorrow in Malaysia. This is a major schedule there and will go on till 18th of the next month. Some key scenes and a heavy duty fight sequence will be shot during this schedule.

The movie is planned for April release. Radhika Apte is the female lead in the film. Rajinikanth will be seen in the role of an aging gangster in the movie. Ranjith Pa is wielding megaphone for the movie.

Santosh Narayanan will compose tunes for the movie which will be produced by Kailaipuli S Thanu. Superstar Rajinikanth is just like a wounded lion after that back to back failures with Kochadaiiyaan and Linga. The actor is raring to go.

Popular Bollywood actor, Kay Kay Menon who is known for his intense performances in films like Black Friday, Life in a Metro, Sarkar and the recent Haider, is all set for make his Telugu debut. He will be seen in a crucial role in Rana Daggubati-starrer Ghazi.

Prakash Raj was to play the role of the Naval Commander but quit the project to concentrate on his upcoming directorial Mana Voori Ramayanam. Now Kay Kay is brought in to the project and he is quite excited about his Telugu debut.

Kay Kay has already commenced shooting for his portion. The shooting is going on in a specially erected submarine set near Tank Bund in Hyderabad. Tapsee is playing the female lead in the movie which will be directed by a newcomer Sankalp Reddy.
