Believe it or not. New-age director has been offered a staggering Rs 1.5 Crore for his next directorial. The lucky man in question is none other than director Kishore Tirumala who is riding high with the success of Nenu…Sailaja. The romantic caper bailed out Ram from a series of flops.

While the details of producer and banner have been kept under the wraps, the news of remuneration offer for Kishore has become the talking point in film circles. The details are yet to be finalised and sources in the know say that it’s not Sravanthi Movies. Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan’s Father & renowned Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan filed criminal defamation suit against Model-turned-Actor Sudhanshu Pandey for allegedly making baseless allegations against him. Now, The team of lawyers hired by Roshan Khandhan are working out on demanding at least Rs 50 crore in damages.

The issue began with Sudhanshu Pandey accusing Rakesh Roshan and Sanjay Gupta of stealing the script of his film ‘Farmayish’ and planning to cast Hrithik Roshan in the project by altering the title to ‘Kaabil’. Following a complaint filed by Sudhanshu, Amboli Police had questioned the duo and recorded their statement.

In response, Rakesh Roshan sued Sudhanshu Pandey to the tune of Rs 50 crore on ground of baseless and derogatory statements. A defamation suit was filed in the Andheri Metropolitan Court under Sections 499, 500 and 501 of the IPC on Jan 14th.

Speaking to media, Rakesh Roshan confirms filing defamation case as his name was unnecessarily dragged into the issue. However, Mr. Pandey refused to comment on the matter citing investigation is under progress.

Telangana Chief KCR is winning the hearts of Telugu people wherever they may be. Sometime ago, it was the turn of KTR to give a helping hand for a suffering old man ‘Vedam’ fame Nagayya from Andhra Pradesh and now KCR has done the same when he found the story of Pavala Shyamala published in a popular newspaper so touching.

Pavala Shyamala is a senior most stage and film artist who acted in numerous films. During her career journey, she won plenty of awards but situations changed when health issues started to trouble her along with a crippled daughter becoming one more burden. With no financial strength to pay house rent or get the daily bread, Shyamala slowly started to sell-off her awards and even developed suicidal tendencies giving a call to KCR through a newspaper.

Telangana Chief Minister went so soft and emotional on Shyamala ordering the officials to bring Shyamala before him. He sanctioned an immediate financial assistance of Rs. 20, 000 along with granting monthly pension of Rs, 10, 000 and a two BHK house. Shyamala went into tears with KCR gesture. Pawan Kalyan was the first to help Pavala Shyamala some time ago paying her Rs. 1 Lakh for surgery and one more lakh is donated by Power Star Fans.

Young Hero Sharwanand’s Express Raja had completed its extended first weekend run (4 days run) at the box office. The movie had put up a good show in this four days run despite the intense competition with the other Sankranthi biggies.

The movie had amassed 4.15 Crore share in both the Telugu states in the four days run so far. Given the talk, the movie is likely to have an extended run even after the Sankranthi holidays.

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus film, Baahubali – The Conclusion has completed its first schedule at a Special set erected in Ramoji Film City. The team will shift to Kannur Fort in Kerala for the second schedule of the film tomorrow.

The schedule will go on there for the next 10 days. Malayalam period film Pazhassi Raja was extensively shot in rural Kannur. Rajamouli was very much impressed with the locales of the movie. 40% of Baahubali-2 shooting is already completed with the first part.

Rajamouli will have to finish the remaining shoot. The movie may see light only in the first half of 2017 which means a good one and half year for the remaining shoot and the post production work.

King Nagarjuna’s Soggade Chinni Nayana had finished its first weekend run at the box office. The movie had collected 10.47 Crore share from AP and Nizam. The movie is either in to breakeven zone or in to Profits Zone in many areas. It will be profits every where by the end of first week.

The movie had got less theaters in the first weekend, or else the figures would have been even better. Box Office analysts say the movie is likely to be the biggest hit of Nagarjuna’s career. Currently Manam is in that spot. If everything goes well, it will be the first 40 Crore share film for the actor.

Junior NTR’s Pongal offering ‘Nannaku Prematho’ is a very big winner in overseas market. The film is smoothly cruising towards 1 Million dollar mark and by the time it completes business cycle, trade sources are seeing 1.5 M mark as easily achievable. This proves that Tarak is a hero not just for domestic audience; it’s the following among Telugu NRI audience which make him special.

In fact, director Sukumar is also a man of class taste. Although he had a failure ‘1 Nenokkadine’ with Mahesh Babu to credit, the effect was so minimal because ‘Nannaku Prematho’ premiere shows have alone helped distributors and buyers to recover a high share of their investment. To be much simple, the film is mainly aimed at class audience and the stylish treatment with NTR in altogether a complete makeover is an impressive factor.

Finally, ‘Nannaku Prematho’ comes out as a strong winner despite the sturdy competition posed by Balakrishna, Nagarjuna and Sharwanand. We might have to wait and see, what will be the final BO figures this movie is going to score and overall collections including domestic market makes the result complete. Will it be into 50 or 60 Crores club?

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Dictator had completed its first weekend run (4 days) at the box office. In this four days run so far, the movie had collected 13.44 Crore share which is a decent total considering the poor talk and reviews.

Nizam which is traditionally weak area for Balayya disappointed yet again. However the movie registered good figures in Balayya’s core strength, B and C centers of Coastal AP and Ceeded areas. We will have to see how it holds up from today as the working days began.
