Telugu girl Sri Divya is not finding time to do Telugu movie. Divya, who made her debut with Maruthi’s Bus Stop and shot to fame with Mallela Theeram Lo Sirimalle Chettu, is now on a roll with slew of big ticket Tamil films.

“I’m busy with three Tamil films right now and I can’t sign another film. I want to do Telugu movie as I’ve my roots there but I don’t have time,” says Sri Divya who is paired up with Rana Daggubati in Bangalore Natkal, Tamil remake of Malayalam hit Bangalore Days.

Divya will be seen reprising the role of Nazriya in the original. As Nazriya’s performance won accolades and reviews, Divya took it up as a challenge and trying to bring her own style to the role. Divya says she initially hesitant to pair up with taller actor Rana Daggubati.

But she was convinced after cinematographer Guhan assured her that the duo would look good on screen. Ask her why she is shying away from glam roles? Pat comes reply. Sunil has hit his lowest phase ever. It is not preposterous even to say that people have almost forgotten him and his movies. Even the film lovers have stopped enquiring what his next movies are. Such is his position. Knowing all this, top producer Dil Raju is reportedly asking all the producers to postpone their movies from the first week of February and make way for solo release of Sunil’s Krishnashtami.

Producers of Nani’s “Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha” and “Speedunnodu” are planning to release their movies on Feb 5th. Hence Dil Raju using his clout reportedly asked them to push their moves to Feb 14th so that he would release “Krishnashtami” safely without competition.

Sunil’s movie might not get enough openings if the competition is tough is what Dil Raju is afraid of, sources say. Sunil used to have great crowd pulling power in the past but his self goals have affected his career badly.

British lawmakers are set to debate a call for U.S. Presidential hopeful Donald Trump to be banned from the United Kingdom over his remarks about Muslims.

More than 5,00,000 people signed an online petition calling for Mr. Trump to be blocked after he called for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the U.S. in the wake of attacks by extremists. Monday’s debate won’t result in a binding vote.

Qualifies for debate Under British law, any online petition backed by 1,00,000 people, who must provide and confirm an e-mail address, must be considered for parliamentary debate.

Labour lawmaker Paul Flynn will kick off the three-hour debate, and said he would try to convey the anger of petitioners. “Don’t make him the victim” But he suggested banning Mr. Trump could be “counter-productive” by making him appear to be a victim.

It is now official that Boyapati will not be directing Balakrishna’s much-awaited 100th movie. Balakrishna himself gave clarity about his next movie when Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao enquired about his 100th movie. According to inside sources, CM KCR congratulated Balakrishna on reaching the milestone of 100th movie as actor and also enquired him when he would be launching. Reacting to this, Balakrishna reportedly spilled the beans about his next film.

“I will be making sequel to my Aditya 369 as my 100th movie. We will be launching shortly and I will meet you again for the invitation of movie launch,” Balakrishna reportedly told KCR. Till now Boyapati was hoping to direct Balayya for this milestone movie but his hopes were dashed off. Boyapati gave two massive hits to Balayya in the form of “Simha” in 2010 and “Legend” in 2014. Hence Boyapati was hoping to direct the Nandamuri star for the third time but Balayya has other plans.

His 100th movie will now be directed by veteran director Singeetam Srinivas Rao. Buzz is that his son Mokshagna will also be making a cameo appearance in “Aditya 999”, sequel to “Aditya 369”, like Akhil did in “Manam”. Balakrishna today met KCR related to his Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital development works.

Did Revanth have a rift with Raghavendra Rao?

Share

nmjyh

Producer Yelamanchali Sai Babu (Srirama Rajyam) had planned a grand debut for his son Revanth. He put him in the hands of Raghavendra Rao and the result was ‘Intinta Annamayya’. The young hero was promoted in a big manner with the hoardings of him plastered all over town.

It is rumored that Rs 2 crore was spent on the hoardings alone. However, the movie is yet to release to date. While the general belief is that the producer ran into financial problems there is another rumor doing the rounds. The gossip is that Revanth in some way upset Raghavendra Rao during the shooting.

The veteran director thereafter used to ask Revanth sarcastically after filming a scene “Babu, cut cheppa mantara?” If the industry realized that Raghavendra Rao was displeased with Revanth then they would obviously not support the film.

Reel Buzz: Small There, Big Here!

Compared to Tamil and Telugu, the Malayalam film industry is rather small. Although they do make some great films, the size of the market being small, the budgets of even big films there are on par with a small budget Tollywood film.

Even their superstars Mamooty and Mohan Lal charge accordingly. But the strange thing is that when these stars are approached by Tamil or Telugu filmmakers, they jack up their remunerations accordingly. They charge according to the budgets of the Tamil and Telugu industries. Sometime back, a Tollywood filmmaker approached Mamooty with a script who liked it. He agreed to do the film but backed out after finding out the budget of the film saying that the budget wouldn’t even cover his remuneration.

Now, the budget was on par with the Malayalam movies that he does, but not in the league of what he gets for Tamil or Telugu films. The disappointed filmmaker returned home. But who can blame Mamooty or Mohan Lal for demanding as per the industry’s potential? Why would they need to compromise when they have filmmakers willing to pay them the required remuneration?
