Chiranjeevi’s landmark 150th Movie, ‘Kaththi’ Telugu remake under VV Vinayak’s direction is all set to go on floors within a couple of months. What makes it the most craziest project of 2016 is Ram Charan’s foray into Production and that’s a risk many of the Younger Generation Stars didn’t dared to take till date.

For the first time, VV Vinayak opened up about the prestigious project. The Star Director informs Script Work is in the final stages and launch could be either in March or April this year. He also hinted, ‘Shooting might kickstart on March 27th (Ram Charan’s Birthday) if everything falls in place’.

Nayantara is the first choice to play female lead in ‘Kaththi’ Telugu remake. As the dusky siren shares a good rapport with Vinayak since they worked together for films such as ‘Lakshmi’ & ‘Yogi’, Nayan is also keen to sign the project.

Inspite of rumors about Chiru’s astonishing remuneration of Rs 30 crore for the project, There is no official confirmation or denial from the makers over this matter. The total budget will exceed Rs 70 crore if this is true by any chance.

Young Tiger NTR’s Nannaku Prematho had finished its extended first weekend run (5 days) at the box office. The movie despite, the average talk, maintained steady collections, thanks to the festival effect.

Considering the Worldwide numbers, the movie is currently the fourth best First week total in this 5 days run itself. Back at US Box office, the movie had amassed a whopping 1.6 Million dollars gross in this 5 days run and is a blockbuster there. We will have to see how it holds up from today as the holidays ended.

This is the season of horror films in Tollywood. After the blockbuster hits of several horror flicks, yet another horror drama is gearing up to hit the screens soon. In 2014, the Tamil horror hit Aaranmanai released in Telugu as Chandrakala and ended up as a decent success. Now, the makers are ready with its sequel, Aaranmanai 2, titled Kalavathi in Telugu.

There has been a decent buzz on Kalavathi since the movie features popular stars Trisha, Hansika and Siddharth in the lead roles. Interestingly, both Trisha and Hansika will be playing ghosts in this horror drama. Yesterday, the film’s audio was launched in a starstudded evening. However, the absence of Trisha and Hansika at the audio launch marred the enthusiasm to a great extent.

On the other hand, Siddharth, who has not tasted much success in Telugu over the past few years, attended the audio launch and even got his good friend and hotshot producer Dil Raju attend the event. Senior Tamil actress Khushboo is the film’s producer and her husband C Sundar is the director. Kalavathi will hit the screens on the 29th January along with Aaranmanai 2.

Star heroes following a legacy established by their ancestors need not do anything extraordinary to prove themselves to retain their ancestral following. Just follow the path shown by them and you are going to stay ahead. Akkineni Nagarjuna’s wonderful decision to accept ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ script has not only made him a happy winner in Sankranti race but also pleased Akkineni Fans.

Into the recent past, there was a building criticism and pressure on Akkineni Fans with disastrous debut in Akhil with ‘Akhil’ film. At the same time, Naga Chaitanya working on number of parallel projects also stood a bit delayed with release of his films. So, this helped Nag to take the burden on himself to balance their Fans dropping morals. Thus, ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ directed by debutant Kalyan Krishna is a right film at right time.

Nagarjuna’s extra ordinary acting as Bangarraju supported by Ramya Krishna and Lavanya Tripathi is today the first choice for family audience. Akkineni admirers welcomed this film with open hands and at a crucial time with Chaitu, Akhil’s going is getting tougher… Nagarjuna relieved the pressure from Fans.

While some heroes understand and analyze the ongoing trends before selecting a project or script, looks like Balakrishna isn’t so. He just follows rigidly, the age old formula of heroic elevation and emotional drive which might pay most of the times. Into the Pongal race, ‘Dictator’ from director Sriwass is getting divided response from audience in some centers while in areas where Balayya following is intact, the reaction is just thunderous.

As said earlier in the review portion too, Balakrishna did not try different or anything new on experimentation for his 99th film. He just followed a safe screenplay and decayed storyline which is successfully utilized by him-self many a number of times in ‘Samara Simha Reddy, Narasimha Naidu’ and Legend’ kind of films.

Result is, ‘Dictator’ is roaring in B and C class centers where some of the audience would just love Nata Simham mouthing those heavy duty dialogues going on massive massacre of goons. A bit of more cautiousness added into second half of film could have delivered further more goose bumping result. Whatever, Balakrishna is happy as his Fans are pleased.

Junior NTR is generally known as the hero of masses. All those directors and producers who made films with Tarak till now have concentrated to the core on exploring these mass action abilities and tremendous emotionally exciting performance based characterizations on him. Now and then, few of the directors might have tried some novelty on Young Tiger but results weren’t really satisfactory.

The adventurous decision from producer BVSN Prasad and director Sukumar to experiment extremely on Tarak happened in the form of ‘Nannaku Prematho’ released few days ago. And now, Lavanya’s latest offing ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ has proved to be a blockbuster keeping the cash registers ringing. Lavanya Tripathi looked so hot in saris in the movie. She is likely to bag more of such characters in upcoming films. She is now considered to be the golden leg.

Actress-turned-politician Jaya Prada is all set for acting comeback. And no, she is not going to do a character role. Instead, she is prepping up to scorch screens as a heroine. Yes, you heard it right!

After a long hiatus of eight years after playing Balakrishna’s Attha (mother in-law) in Maharathi, Jaya Prada is set to make a comeback playing a lead role. She is teaming up with director Neeraj Vohara who shot to fame with Phir Hera Pheri. Tipped to be a horror comedy, the movie will be a trilingual made in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil.

Billed to be an exciting story, it’s learnt that Jaya Prada is kicked about beginning work. She herself divulged the news and said it’s an honour for her to be a part of a film which has such an amazing technical team.

The entertainment quotient in the film seems to have impressed Jaya Prada. She feels that the comedy in film going to be healthy and very tastefully weaved into the story. Also she is happy that her role in film is well etched. So, get ready to see Jaya Prada in a horror comedy.

Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Dictator’ was made with all commercial elements included in it. The movie was thought to be a super duper hit by Nandamuri fans. ” Had the movie been released 15 to 20 years ago, it would have scored an industry hit or blockbuster,” says some analysts.

‘Dictator’, however, is running with mixed responses now. The movie’s collections are good at Ceded area and average in coastal districts. In rest of the areas including Nizam and Overseas, the movie will suffer losses. According to the trade, the movie may collect a total of Rs.17 to 18 crores in its full run.

Some of the fans have viewed that ‘Dictator’ would have got more collections, had it been got a solo release while some more people say ‘Dictator’s status indicates the change in Tollywood. Some of the anti fans are suspicious that Balakrishna’s range, as a senior hero, confined to certain level. Whatsoever, ‘Dictator’ needs rock with thumping collections and wish it will happen in upcoming days with aggressive promotions by the makers.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam will begin a new schedule from tomorrow in Ramoji Film City. Samantha who is yet to join the movie shooting, will attend the movie shoot tomorrow. All the three heroines – Kajal Aggarwal, Pranitha and Samantha will be present in this schedule and some important combination scenes will be canned.

The makers are planning to release the movie for April 29th. The movie shooting is more than half complete. Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu fame Srikanth Addala is wielding megaphone for the film which has music by Mickey J Meyer. Potluri Vara Prasad is producing the film on his PVP Cinemas banner.

Team ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ has been jubilant with the blockbuster success of the movie. Success meet of the movie was held today in a TV channel’s studio. King Nagarjuna, who was elated with the success of the movie, revealed the estimated collections of the movie for three days. He also, assured the number of theaters will be increasing in a day or two.

” The movie was released in 450 screens including Overseas. On the first day, our film collected Rs.5 crores in Telugu states and same number was recorded on day two and three as well indicating the steadiness of the movie’s collections. As four movies were released for this Sankranthi, we got only 450 theaters for release. But the number will be hiked upto 600 in a day or two,” said Nagarjuna.

According to the trade reports, ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ is expected to have collected around Rs.15 crores by this weekend and the movie has reportedly entered to profit zone in some of the areas.
