Telugu beauty Anjali first tasted success in Tamil and then gained popularity in her native language. The actress gave numerous hits in Tamil and she caters her dates equally to Telugu and Tamil projects. The buxom beauty even shed her girl next door image and turned glamorous in her latest Telugu release Dictator.
Recently, Anjali has signed yet another biggie in Tamil op opposite legendary Malayalam actor Mammootty. The film is titled Peranbu and it will be directed by national award winning director Ram. Now, over the past few days, there have been numerous rumors that Anjali will be playing a transgender with negative shades in the film.
After patiently ignoring the rumors for a few days, Anjali finally broke her silence in her recent interview and clarified that she will not be playing a transgender. Anjali also stated that she is not even paired with Mammootty in the film. However, the actress refused to reveal the nature of her character in the film.

In this story the Sardaar is posted to Rattanpur and is expected to clean up the town of all undesirable elements.Pawan Kalyan over the past two years painstakingly built each and every element in this film and got on to the drawing board to give shape to the town of Rattanpur and its basic layout. He then worked on each character in the film including the Villain, the Heroine and other key characters. The look and feel, the color and tone of the film was then freezed. With all the ground work in place the team went ahead to create the town of Rattanpur and a very authentic set has been erected in Hyderabad where the shooting is presently in fast progress.

Sharwanand Compromised For Nagarjuna
Director Merlapaka Gandhi made banging debut with Venkatadri Express which provided huge profits to its makers. The director’s second film Express Raja starring Sharwanand released today. The talk in Film Nagar circles is that, Gandhi actually prepared the story for Sushanth.
As per this buzz, after the success of Venkatadri Express, Gandhi committed to do a project with hero Sushanth. Gandhi was paid Rs 25 lakhs as advance, out of total remuneration of Rs 75 lakhs. He worked on a script for seven months and narrated the story to Nagarjuna and other Akkineni family members. They refused the script, since they had some issues with it.
Then, Merlapaka Gandhi approached Sharwanand with same story without even informing Akkineni camp. Sharwa was very much impressed with it. The young hero who already had committed to do another film with UV Creations Banner after the decent hit of Run Raja Run, had introduced Gandhi to the producers who were also pleased with the script.
According to the same buzz, when Nagarjuna got to know about this, he demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore for leaving the production house and also for breaking their contract of making film under Annapurna Studios Banner. Sharwa who had mediated the deal had accepted to pay the amount from his remuneration. So, he did Express Raja for almost zero remuneration.
However, this is just a speculation in Film Nagar, because neither Akkineni camp, nor UV Creations had made any announcement on this!

To all the Salman Khan fans, here’s the first time you will be seeing Bhaijaan hosting Filmfare Awards. And news is, he is being paid a whopping Rs2.5 crore for two hours.
What was called as Shah Rukh Khan’s territory earlier, will now be taken over by Sallu but with a fat pay-cheque. However, sources revealed that it was not an easy job to convince the ‘Sultan’. “He was pursued relentlessly and the pay-cheque was very fat, close to 2.5 crores,” mumbled the source.
Many reports even said that they were tired of watching Kapil Sharma and Manish Paul do anchoring and wanted something different this time. Hence, Salman, the masterstroke will prove to be a fabulous host.Well, we are just glad we can watch Salman Khan!!
Career Best Openings For NTR
Young Tiger Jr NTR’s Nannaku Prematho took a thunderous opening in Telugu states. As per trade sources, the film minted a share close to Rs 12 crores on day one, which is highest ever in NTR’s career and is now the third biggest grosser in Tollywood.
While Prabhas and Rajamouli’s dream project Baahubali is still in first position with 24 crores, Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu is in second spot with 13.50 crores.
Although Nannaku Prematho is a class entertainer, the film is performing healthy in mass centers. The Sukumar directorial raked a share of Rs 2.40 crores in Ceded. In Nizam, the film was too good on day one with a share of Rs 3.55 crore. As we reported earlier, the revenge drama film is making waves at overseas box office. It is creating collections tsunami in other territories too.
Many of the theaters in Telugu states were allotted to Nannaku Prematho on day one, so are the record collections. On second day, few theaters are occupied by Balakrishna’s Dictator and few are by Sharwanand’s Express Raja. Tomorrow, Nagarjuna’s Soggade Chinni Nayana will also occupy some more theaters.
In the interesting Sankranthi contest, today released films Dictator and Express Raja have also got good ratings and mouth talk for these films is encouraging. Hence, day two collections are predicted to be lesser to that of day one. How much, we will be known only tomorrow!
Express Raja Movie Review – 3/5
Express Raja makers surprised one and all by pitching it against big films for this Pongal. The confidence shown by the makers and the impressive trailers has created a buzz for this film. Merlapaka Gandhi who made an entertaining film Venkatadri Express teamed up with Sharvanand for Express Raja. Let’s see if they have succeeded in delivering a decent entertainer.
Story :
Raja (Sharvanand) and his uncle (Prabhas Srinu) are happy go lucky type characters. Raja falls in love with Amulya (Surabhi) whose marriage is fixed with Keshav Reddy. Raja is chased by few rowdies as he snatches a dog for the sake of his love. He is not aware of the diamond hidden in its dog collar. Rest of the movie is about how Raja gets everything right including his love and family.
Performances:
Sharvanand character reminds us of Run Raja Run. He is energetic and enthusiastic in the lead role. He puts his comic timing to good use. Surabhi is okay as the female lead. Prabhas Srinu got a full length character and he did well. Saptagiri is hilarious. Urvashi is irritating. Shakalaka Shankar entertains. Dhanraj’s character is used well. Harish is good as the baddie. All the characters have purpose and everyone did a good job in their respective roles.
Technicalities:
Merlapaka Gandhi proves that he is not a one film wonder. He has very good grip over comedy. He used a brilliant screenplay technique to narrate this simple story in an effective way. Gandhi is here to stay. Music by Praveen is peppy and appealing. Dialogues are very funny in many scenes. Cinematography is brilliant. Editing is neat. Production values are commendable.

Analysis:
Express Raja lives up to the promise it has shown. It is an entertaining ride right from the word go. The storyline is very thin but the director is clever enough to make it an entertaining movie. He opted for a very different narrative style that offers variety as well as provides ample fun. Express Raja is for the viewers that look for different comedy.
The movie appears pointless until the second perspective of the first kidnap scene was shown. Director has cleverly used one scene as a plot device and introduced various characters into the film that makes it interesting. A dog, a diamond and a runaway bride along with a truckload of comedy characters helps Express Raja work for the most part.
There is a point where it seems the director is stretching it too far. Actors have saved the day whenever the director seems to lose it. Despite having its share of problems Express Raja will entertain the viewers on a regular basis. It is worth a watch just for its fun quotient. Express Raja has the power to stand against the Pongal biggies. It is more of an A centers cinema that will have a good run at the plexes.
Verdict: Impressive Raja.
Indians known as Hindus when they go abroad
Mumbai: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat today said India has accepted diversity and all Indians, when they go abroad, are known as Hindus. “We are all Hindus. There is diversity in the country, but when we go out of India, people (there) call us Hindus,” he said.
“There is no country in the world today whose basic thinking is that all people are their own. India is the only country which thinks so,” Bhagwat said, addressing a public meeting in the tribal Nandurbar district of north Maharashtra. He said India can teach the world how to solve global problems.
“Everything is in our hands,” Bhagwat said, speaking at the Satpura Hindu Convention organised by RSS. “The root of our culture lies in valleys, forests and agriculture. Till the time Lord Ram was in the palace at Ayodhya, he did not have the powers to kill Ravana. Ravana was killed with the powers Ram got by wandering around in forests and valleys,” Bhagwat said.
Speaking about India’s religious diversity, Bhagwat said all religions were accepted here. “To be together, it is not necessary to be alike,” the RSS chief said. “We are people of a country where we worship God in different forms. A Hindu is one who recognises that God. We have been respecting each other’s differences,” Bhagwat said.

Mumbai: Indonesian capital Jakarta was rocked by six bomb blasts on Wednesday. According to the reports, seven people are killed in the series of suicidal bombs and gun attacks. Bollywood actor Emran Hashmi has shared a disturbing video of the terrorist attack via Twitter.
Emran Hashmi is the first celebrity to tweet about the deadly attack in Jakarta and wishing the people.Recently seen in a music video with Esha Gupta, Emraan is currently shooting a biopic on Mohd. Azharuddin, ‘Azhar’.
