As we all know Nandamuri Balakrisha is straight forward person and doesn’t care of any controversy or other things. The actor busy promoting his 99th film Dictator arriving to theaters for Sankranthi said in an interview that no one has guts to shoot in public like him.

When the host asked, did your stuntman made your work tougher, Balakrishna replied saying, “I love doing stunts. In fact, I ask my fight masters for better stunts. I performed hard-hitting action sequences, without even using ropes so many times. Many assume that, the glass breaking scene with horse in Legend, was a computer generated graphic. Indeed, people have a mindset that, such scenes will be made in graphics. But, more than 25k people watched me perfoming the stunt.

I challenge that, no one in the industry has such guts to perform in public like me. My director Boyapati Sreenu requested to use graphics for the sequence, but I opposed him. Coming to Dictator, this movie will also have some high octane action sequences, especially that we shot in Bulgaria.” Balakrishna admitted that, the title Dictator justifies his character.

Balakrishna also wished his fans, well wishers and movie buffs happy new year and hoped his film Dictator will perform well at the box office.

Munich police warn of ‘imminent threat’ of attack

Police in Munich warned of a “serious, imminent threat” by Islamic State group suicide bombers wanting to commit an attack on New Year’s Eve and asked people to stay away from the city’s main train station and a second train station in the city’s Pasing neighbourhood.

Bavaria’s Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann told reporters at Munich’s police headquarters authorities had received information that the militant group Islamic State was behind the threat.

Munich police president Hubertus Andrae said German authorities had been tipped off by a foreign intelligence service that IS was planning attacks with five to seven suicide bombers, a German news agency eported. Andrae said so far there hadn’t been any arrests.

Police spokesman Werner Kraus told The Associated Press that “after evaluating the situation, we started evacuating the train stations and also asked partygoers to stay away from big crowds outside.” The warning came only hours before the city rang in the New Year.

Despite police warnings to stay away from big crowds, thousands of people were on the streets of Munich at midnight to welcome the New Year with fireworks. DPA reported massive delays in the city’s public transportation system after both train stations were quickly evacuated and trains were no longer stopped there. Cities across Europe have been on edge since a terror attack in Paris in November killed 130 people.

A few days after the Paris attack, a soccer stadium in Hannover in central Germany was evacuated after a terror threat against a friendly match between Germany and the Netherlands. The authorities never reported any findings of explosives or concrete attack plans.

Can KTR Be Trusted?

KTR has said that there is absolute security to the Seemandhras in Hyderabad contrary to malicious propaganda that they would be targeted once the TRS comes to power. “Has there been a single instance of attack on Seemandhras since the TRS has come to power?” asked KTR.

Factually, KTR is correct. But again, it might be in the best interests of the TRS that the safety of the Seemandhras is assured.

For starters, if there were any such incidents, the TDP would immediately start the section 8 issue again. And then, the final frontier for the TRS is the upcoming GHMC elections which would be hugely influenced by Seemandhra voters.

So, what guarantee is there that the TRS would not adopt a different agenda towards Seemandhra people after the GHMC elections, win or lose? After all, it was a party that came to power on the plank of regional hatred.

Will NTR Break The Jinx?

Here’s an interesting bit of news! Jr NTR has so far acted in four films starting with the word ‘N’. They are his debut film as hero ‘Ninnu Choodalani’, ‘Naa Alludu’, ‘Naaga’ and ‘Narasimhudu’. All four movies failed badly at the box-office.

Now, it might come across as an undesirable sentiment for some of his fans that his upcoming film is titled ‘Nannaku Prematho’.

But knowing fully well that none of his earlier films starting with ‘N’ have done well at the box-office, NTR and Sukumar went ahead with the title ‘Nannaku Prematho’.

Apparently, that was the kind of confidence they had in the script apart from feeling that the title they chose was the best for the script.

Both NTR and Sukumar need to be complimented for believing in themselves and their work over sentiment and here’s wishing them all the very best.

Pawan Kalyan’s plans for GHMC polls

Clarity is coming about Pawan Kalyan’s plans for GHMC polls. It is now almost confirmed that Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena won’t be contesting the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporations elections scheduled to be held in the third week of January 2016.

Nor he would be campaigning for BJP and TDP. Reports are coming in that Pawan Kalyan has given his nod for long schedule of Sardar Gabbar Singh that starts from January 4th and lasts till the month end in Hyderabad.

He won’t be taking his time off from this schedule to campaign for NDA in Hyderabad elections although he did canvass for the same in the last general elections.

Sources his advisers told him not to contest or campaign in this municipal elections. Wait for some more time, they reportedly advised. He is also planning to release Sardar Gabbar Singh in April. So he can’t take time off from the shoot now.

Goof-up in Naidu’s publicity plan!

Everybody is aware how much craze Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has towards publicity. It has been proved time and again and sometimes, this overzealouness backfires, but Naidu doesn’t learn lessons. The other day, Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella visited the residence of Naidu and had one-on-one meeting with him.

The publicity managers immediately swung into action and issued a media statement explaining how Satya Nadella was floored by the hospitality of Naidu at the break-fast meeting, what kind of dishes he was served and how Naidu’s grandson Devaansh entertained him etc. In the same breath, the media statement said Nadella had made an announcement that Microsoft would be setting up a huge campus in Visakhapatnam very soon.

It was also leaked to the media that the Visakhapatnam campus would be much bigger than that in Hyderabad, which is the second largest campus of Microsoft after US. Even as the electronic media started scrolling the news of Microsoft campus in Visakhapatnam, there came a revised press release from Naidu’s publicity wing.

It had all the details of the original press note, except the sentence on Vizag campus. It said Naidu had requested Nadella to set up Microsoft campus in Visakhapatnam. So, it was not the Microsoft decision, but only Naidu’s request. Yet, the TDP chief sought to gain publicity even for a couple of hours!

No interviews for govt jobs from Jan 1

There is some great news for the job aspirants this new year. DOPT (Department of Personnel Training) has issued a communique to all the departments directing them to dispense with the practice of Job interviews for all the Junior level posts.

DOPT has notified that 31st Dec 2015 will be the deadline for all the interview based recruitments. As per the directive most of the Group-C posts and non-gazetted posts under Group-B will come under purview of this directive.However, Skill tests and Physical tests will be continued for the selection process.

Officials further clarified that marks achieved in the written tests will not be a criterion for selection but will only be of qualifying nature.All the ministries were asked to send the consolidated reports by Jan 7 with details of names and number of posts which will come under this directive and also those posts which are exempted.

Department of public enterprises have also asked all their ministries to advise the PSU’s under their control to adopt revised mechanism for recruitment to all non-executive posts without interview.

This directive is believed to be in line with Prime Minister Modis’ Independence day address to undo with the interview process for all the non-critical posts to curb corruption as well as to simplify the process of recruitment.

Under director Thiru’s captaincy, Vikram is teaming up with Kajal Agarwal for “Garuda”, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual that will have an action entertainment backdrop. That’s how Vikram grabbed the title, but not Rajamouli’s film itself.
