Chennai: Actress Amy Jackson is being considered for actor Ravi Teja’s next yet-untitled Telugu outing with debut director Chakri.

“The makers have initiated talks with Amy, and if everything works out as planned, she may team up with Ravi for the first time. In about two week’s time, we should be able to get a better picture,” a source from the film’s unit said.

The film, which will be produced by K.L. Damodar Prasad, will go on the floors next year.“The shooting may start early next year. The dates are being worked out as Ravi also has two more projects in his kitty,” the source added.

Amy’s last Telugu outing was 2014 actioner “Yevadu” with Ram Charan Teja.

Mumbai: Actor Ranveer Singh, who is rumoured to be dating actress Deepika Padukone, parried questions related to his “Bajirao Mastani” co-star. “I am not giving you any headline,” Ranveer said when asked if the two have got more close after their on-screen pairing was appreciated, for a second time, in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed historical-drama.

The Ranveer-Deepika pairing was a hit on-screen post “Ram Leela”, which was also helmed by Bhansali, in 2013. In “Bajirao Mastani”, there is a love triangle between Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao (Ranveer), Mastani (Deepika) and Kashibai (Bajirao’s first wife, played by Priyanka).

On love triangles being messy in real life, the 30-year-old actor said, “I myself have been part of love triangle, sometimes at the losing end, and I know how it feels. I have gone through a lot.”

Ranveer is elated at the response “Bajirao Mastani”, which released last Friday, is getting at the box office.

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who is vocal about his thoughts on social media platform, has strictly mentioned on his official Twitter profile that “Anti National or abusers will be blocked”.

Eccentric filmmaker Teja, who launched a bevy of new faces like Kajal Aggarwal, Uday Kiran, Navdeep, Prince and Nithiin, is now set to launch controversial cricketer Sreesanth in Telugu film industry.

Impressed with the gripping story line of love story revolving around a top cricketer and top actress set against IPL scandal and match fixing, Teja will be launching a script writer too. Set to go on floor next month, the multilingual film will be reportedly backed by top production house UTV.

Given that Teja is close to Bollywood technicians, he is contemplating to rope in leading composer Pritam to belt out rocking tunes.

Mallu beauty Keerthi Suresh is the talk of town, ever since “Nenu Sailaja” trailer made an impact on Telugu audiences. While this talented girl is to make debut with actor Naresh’s son Naveen’s movie “Aina Ishtam Nuvvu”, her second venture opposite Ram is getting released first.

Sharing her thoughts, Keerthi stated that she is very excited about the film’s release because she wants to find out how audiences receive her. “Telugu is a complete alien language for me, which I’ve heard only when I signed a film here.

All these scenes I’ve acted in, I understood the emotions and did my best. So this film’s release will prove what my caliber is like”, says Keerthi. Like all those heroines, who routinely say, Mahesh is their favorite actor, did Keerthi has something to say?

“No, I’ve no such favourites. Anyway if I’ve to pick one, Ram is my current favourite. Maybe I’ve to know about a hero to call him as a fav. Only If I work with them, I could say that. Isn’t it?” she asks, candidly. Well, that’s what Mahesh Babu does, calling the heroine he’s currently working as his favourite.

Aadi is eagerly waiting for his upcoming film Garam in which he has been paired with Adah Sharma. Madan is the director. “The film is not a masala film, it is a family entertainer,” said Aadi.

He added that his father stepped into production as he liked the subject. “After one schedule, my father saw the rushes and liked it very much. So, he wanted to take up the project and we completed the film and are now waiting for a good release date,” said the actor.

The film’s music is releasing on Wednesday, on the occasion of the actor’s birthday. Aadi said that producing a film was a risky job. “But we are confident about the film and about director Madan, who makes sensible films,” he said.

Aadi has also signed another film, Chuttalabbayi, with director Veerabhadram. “Shooting of this film is also almost complete,” he said, adding that this was a hilarious film with typical Veeerabhadram style of comedy.

The long-time partnership between director Puri Jagannath and actress Charmme has come to a close. The two would be seen together at most film events and Puri had even made Charmme a partner in his production house. The star had also produced Jyothi Lakshmi, a film directed by Puri Jagannath and was later also involved in the production of Loafer as well.

Despite strong rumours of a romantic link between them — both have stoutly denied everything. Now though, according to a source, Puri became so fed up with her “increased” involvement in all his deals he told her to “get out”.

“She had taken control of everything — even controlling the list of people wanting to meet him. He came to know of these matters later, and was irked with her attitude. He has also told her she will not be a part of his films,” the source said.

The split is seemingly good news for those close to Puri. “His staff are all happy with this decision and they are all actually jubilant,” added the source.
