That Tollywood’s macho hunk Rana Daggubati is a popular actor across the country is a known fact. With films like Dum Maaro Dum, Department, Baby and recently Baahubali, Rana developed a decent fan base for his menacing looks and gritty performances.

Now, apart from filmy his achievements, Rana has pulled off a rare milestone. The Bhallaladeva has been voted among the top 50 Sexiest Asian Men for 2015 in a poll conducted by the UK based Eastern Eye newspaper in its 12th edition. In a list that has been topped by the One Direction start Zayn Malik, Rana secured an impressive 29th position among the top 50 celebrities across Asia.

Rana even surpassed the stars like singer Arjun (36), Atif Aslam (39) and Emraan Hashmi (46). Bollywood’s Greek god Hrithik Roshan stood second in the list, while Pakistani actor Ali Zafar stood in the 3rd position. Shah Rukh Khan (9), Ranbir Kapoor (12), Varun Dhawan (15), Ashish Sharma (18), Ranveer Singh (22), Akshay Kumar (24) and Virat Kohli (30) are the other Indian stars who made it to the top 50 list.

Tamil Star Hero Dhanush’s Navamanmadhudu was stated to release today in both the Telugu States. However the noon shows of the movie was cancelled in all the areas in both the states. This is due to delay of Censor certification for the film.

Due to the delay, Keys necessary for the movie release are not released. We are said that the makers are trying their level best to sort out the issue and resume the movie screening later in the day. Dhanush bagged the much needed success in Telugu with Raghuvaran B.Tech.

Since then one after the other, all his movies are being dubbed in to Telugu. Thanga Magan is being dubbed in to Telugu as Nava Manmadhudu. Both the Telugu and Tamil versions are releasing today.

New York: A technology support company run by an Indian-American entrepreneur has been sued by the US state of Washington for alleged illegal business practices to pressure consumers into buying unnecessary software, a charge denied as false and baseless by the firm. iYogi and its President Vishal Dhar have been named in the lawsuit filed in King County Superior Court in Washington state. Attorney General Bob Ferguson said the lawsuit against one of the biggest independent tech support providers in the world seeks to stop a scam that uses deception and scare tactics to pressure consumers into buying unnecessary tech support services.

The lawsuit alleges iYogi’s tactics are unfair and deceptive business practices that violate Washington’s Consumer Protection Act. It further alleges that iYogi induced consumers to install unnecessary software as part of its ploy to coerce them into buying tech support services, a violation of Washington’s Computer Spyware Act. The state seeks to stop iYogi’s illegal business practices and recover money for Washington victims. “Tech support scams defraud consumers and often trade on the good reputations of legitimate businesses,” said Ferguson. “This lawsuit sends a message to tech support scammers that my office will hold them accountable.”

Dhar denied the accusations as “false and baseless” and said in a statement that his company “has attained its industry leadership by being customer focused and value driven, and our service is successful because it addresses a genuine need.” In the statement, quoted by the Sun Journal, Dhar said his company recognises that tech support frauds are a real issue in the US and as a responsible industry leader we have been working with authorities in both countries to counter the issue. As part of its investigation, Ferguson’s office found that in online ads, iYogi associated itself with major technology companies such as Microsoft, Apple and HP and when consumers called iYogi, the representative claimed to provide tech support services on behalf of whatever company the consumer inquiries about.

After gaining remote access to the consumer’s computer, iYogi identified benign but complex-looking files and claimed the “infected files” would harm the computer. Once iYogi has alarmed the consumer, the representative proceeded to aggressively sell a tech support plan to fix the non-existent problems for $140-379. According to Microsoft, an estimated 71,000 Washingtonians lose $33 million each year to these schemes. Nationwide, an estimated 3.3 million Americans suffer $1.5 billion in annual losses from tech support scams, the Washington Attorney General’s office said. Based out of New York, iYogi has over 5,000 employees with call centers in India. (PTI)

Mega hero Varun Tej’s Loafer released today to mixed response. Nonetheless, director Puri Jagannath’s mentor Ram Gopal Varma is pleased with the film’s outcome and Varun Tej’s performance. RGV boasted Varun as next megastar. ‘Just saw Loafer..it’s a full on commercial mass masala sentimental entertainer with a very correct mix of music, drama and action.

Seeing the speedy variation of Varun in Mukunda, Kanche and now especially “Loafer” I have no doubts that he’s the next Mega Star. Revathy and Posani are terrific in “Loafer” and so is Sunil Kashyap’s background music. Disha is the best heroine I saw in years though in “Loafer”.

Her potential has not been used to the fullest owing to character limitations. In Loafer the character Jagan designed for Varun will surely catapult him to Mega Stardom far ahead of the other Mega contenders,’ affirmed RGV.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is taking a major risk for his next film Dictator. Apparently, Balayya is doing a high-octane fight sequence without any dupe in the film. The action episode is said to be highlight of the film and it comes towards film’s climax.

Over 150 fighters are working rigorously for the fight sequence. At 55-year-old, Balayya doing a stunt without any dupe is not an easy task. Though the makers asked Balayya to use a body-double, the Legend star refused to use a dupe.

The US Congress is set to impose high fees almost double to earlier for H1-B and L1 visas. Indian IT firms will be the worst affected with this huge hike. Congressional leaders decided to impose a special fee of $4,000 on certain categories of H-1B visas and $4,500 on L-1 visas. The US House of Representative is slated to vote on the $1.1 trillion spending bill deal on Thursday.

The new fees will be applicable for companies that have at least 50 employees and more than 50 percent of them are on non-immigrant H1 B and L1 visas.

It will mean that Indian companies operating in the U.S such as TCS and Wipro will be affected by it, while American companies will have only a fraction of their employees on non-immigrant visas and would stay under the 50 percent threshold.

It is also decided that part of the money raised through the special fees will fund health care of 9/11 first responders under the 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, the other part will fund implementing a biometric entry and exit data system under the Department of Homeland Security.

Though the lawmakers behind the bill described it as a temporary provision, the new H-1B and L-1 visa fee increase is for a period of 10 years as against a previous provision of five years.
