Avunu Hero Dominated By Pakistani Girl
Upcoming Hindi film “Sanam Teri Kasam” is being widely discussed in Tollywood now. Because this film marks full length debut of Thakita Thakita and Avunu fame Harshavardan Rane as a hero in b-town. Those who have seen the trailer are in awe of this guy, but here is the surprising package.
Apparently this Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru directorial marks the debut of Pakistani girl Mawra Hocane’s on Indian silver screen. She happens to be a 23 year old VJ from Pakistan, who is popular for her cute talks and slender looks.
Ever since she supported Indian film “Phantom” calling that a terrorist is a terrorist and Pak should allow the release of it, she got highly praised here and blasted there, and she became a popular figure. Probably Harsha wouldn’t have expected that his heroine will hit headlines in a big way than him.
Meanwhile the movie is a friendship between two opposites who fall in love, with their extreme character traits not allowing them to travel smoothly. To talk more, Mawra’s titillating looks and Himesh Reshamiya’s music are top notch.
Aagadu now releases in Tamil Nadu
At a time producers of straight Tamil films postpone their releases due to the present disastrous rain situations in Tamil Nadu, the dubbed Tamil version of Mahesh Babu’s Tollywood hit Aagadu will be hitting the screens soon. The makers, Badrakali Films, who have already tasted success dubbing Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu as Selvandhan, claim that they are confident of its success of Aagadu’s Tamil version titled Idhu Dhanda Police.
They also say that Mahesh Babu has a sizeable fan following in TN. Besides, Telugu movies made at a grander budget offer plenty of action, colour and sizzling heroines, which helps make blockbusters out of the films.
While Tamannah is playing the female lead, Shruti Haasan grooving to a hot item number is said to be the highlight of the movie. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, Idhu Dhanda Police also has Nasser and Sonu Sood in key characters.
Aadi looking forward to Malupu
After a long delay, actor Aadi Pinisetty will be seen in the film Malupu. “The delay in the film is because of its two versions. We are releasing it in Telugu and Tamil, so we have been shooting in two locations,” says Aadi. The actor will be playing a college student in the film. Interestingly, his father, popular director Raviraja Pinisetty, is producing the film.
“My brother Satya Prabhas is directing the film, it’s his debut. We didn’t want any restrictions on him as a director, so my father decided to produce it,” says Aadi, adding that even his father did not interfere in the direction. After debuting with Oka Vichitram, Aadi acted in Gundello Godari and Vaishali. He is now eagerly waiting for Malupu to release.
“The story is about a true incident that happened to my brother’s friend. The film is based on an incident that revolves around four students,” says the actor. “My father liked the story very much and decided to produce it,” he added. Senior Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty will be playing a powerful character in the film.
Talking about his other projects, Aadi says that he will also be playing the villain opposite Allu Arjun in Sarainodu. “I don’t play the typical villain. I play a negative character that has been shown in a neat manner. In the near future I am ready to play such negative roles if I like the subject,” says Aadi, adding that he has also signed two Tamil films.
Big demand for Sai Srinivas’ next
After making his debut with Alludu Seenu, actor Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas is gearing up for his second film. The film is a remake of the Tamil hit Sundar Pandian and Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao will be directing it. According to a source, the film has already started doing brisk business.
“The dubbed film’s title has not been decided yet, but despite that it has been sold out in all the areas,” says the source.
Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao has always been successful with his remakes. His last film Sudigadu was a blockbuster and it was the best film in actor Allari Naresh’s career.
Ravi Teja – Dil Raju Film In Trouble?
Despite delivering a decent hit with Bengal Tiger, Ravi Teja is struggling to put his new movies on sets. The latest rumor in the industry is that Ravi Teja’s new movie Yevado Okadu has been pushed to February 2016. The film was recently launched by its producer Dil Raju. Venu Sriram is the director and Anupama Parameshwaran has already been selected as the heroine.
It was said that the regular shoot commences from November 1st week itself but the latest rumor is that it may not start until February 2016 for various reasons. Some say it was because of remuneration issue, but there is also strong rumor that Ravi Teja asked the director to work on the second half of the movie as he is not too confident about the movie’s climax.
Ravi Teja’s Bengal Tiger faced flak for the bad second half, so he is being extra cautious. If the movie gets delayed further, Ravi Teja might immediately start another film introducing a new director named Chakri. Currently Ravi Teja is cooling off in some foreign place. He will decide his next once he lands in Hyderabad, our sources said.
Sreenu Vaitla Back To Basics
Failures of Aagadu and Bruce Lee have done serious damage to the brand image of ace director Sreenu Vaitla. He used to make movies with young heroes in the starting days of his career. Sreenu Vaitla used to be a very good storyteller and screenplay writer during the days of Anandam, Venky, Dhee and Ready. With Dookudu he has attained stardom and thereafter stuck to doing movies with only superstars.
He started to play safe by doing template movies and that has boomeranged big time with Aagadu and Bruce Lee turning out to be disasters. He did some introspection after these failures and decided to get back to basics.
He stopped running after superstars and is writing a script for Ram with whom he has delivered a blockbuster like Ready. As per Sreenu Vaitla this film will entirely different plot and treatment from his recent movies. C. Kalyan is the producer for this movie.
Sreenu Vaitla has cut down his remuneration to fit in the budget and market of a Ram’s film. He has cleared the differences with his wife too. Sreenu Vaitla has bounced back with a bang whenever he was thrown down. We can hope for an entertaining treat from the master of comedy.
Niharika Konidela Rocking on Sets!
Mega heroine Niharika Konidela is said to be rocking on the shooting sets. Despite the fact that she is making her silver screen debut and facing camera in full-fledged way for the first time, Niharika is not taking much time in delivering dialogues or doing her part.
Usually newcomers eat lot of takes but Niharika is proving to be otherwise. Carrying forward family’s legacy with acting in her blood, Niharika is doing proper homework before coming to sets which is saving a lot of time on sets making it easy for director Ramaraju whose maiden film was critically acclaimed Mallela Theeramlo Sirimalle Chettu.
Titled as Oka Manasu, the movie features Naga Shourya as the lead protagonist. Recently, the makers have completed its first schedule at blitzkrieg speed and soon going to start the second schedule as well.
Looks like, Niharika is going to follow her uncles Mega Star Chiranjeevi, Power Star Pawan Kalyan and wanting set new precedent as successful heroine with filmy background.
Tamanna Defends ‘Bengal Tiger’ Poster
Often there is criticism that women are being objectified in Telugu commercial films as they are limited to songs where dancing in skimpy outfits is the mere job. Also it is being accused that filmmakers are banking a lot on glamour of heroine in sleaziest ways to promote films.
Recently “Bengal Tiger” makers have released a poster where Tamanna is clad in an yellow saree in rain while Ravi Teja’s hand is graciously kept on her navel, waist area. As remarks started flowing in that the poster is very vulgar, a media house questioned Tamanna about it.
“In terms of glamour or performance, entertainment business is all about it. That’s what average viewers are liking to see. If some people are thinking that it’s objectifying women, then they are narrow minded”, said Tamanna, defending her Bengal Tiger poster.
With Tamanna herself having no problem with the posters, probably who would stand enough to criticise her? Maybe someone has to make a video and upload on Facebook!!
Trying To Get Noticed
Hyderabad: KTR At A recent function came down heavily on Narendra Modi saying that the latter was too busy touring countries and questioned whether the people of Hyderabad ever got to watch his face. “While we are winning every election in Telangana, the BJP is losing every election in India,” said KTR. At best, these remarks by KCR can be termed as amusing.
Hundreds of farmers continue to commit suicide in Telangana, how many of their families have seen the face of KCR or KTR? If Modi is touring various countries, it is not because he enjoys airplane rides. It is because he is trying to shore up support for India not only for foreign investment but also in future in the case of any eventuality with China or Pakistan.
By criticizing Modi, KTR is probably trying to get attention. Just like a BJP corporator in Karnataka made headlines by threatening to behead the Karnataka CM if the latter ate beef. Maybe KTR is still upset at the BJP spurning the TRS offer of friendship and not offering his sister a berth in the Union cabinet.
