NTR Chief Guest for ‘Dictator’ Audio?
Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna’s new film ‘Dictator’s audio launch function will be held on December 20 in AP’s capital Amaravati. It’s going to be a star studded event with a few crazy celebs may grace their presence as guests amidst huge fanfare.
Speculations are now doing rounds on the chief guest of this function. Earlier, Power Star Pawan Kalyan was speculated to be attending the event as a chief guest. Latest snippet is that it will be none other than Young Tiger Ntr, who is going to attend the event as a chief guest but not Pawan Kalyan. If at all this news is proved right, Nandamuri fans will go jubilant and the war between the Nandamuri heroes gets ended.
Incidentally, Ntr’s ‘Naannaku Prematho’ and Balakrishna’s ‘Dictator’ will be releasing just a day’s gap for Sankranthi. ‘Dictator’ has been starred by Anjali and Sonal Chowhan. Thaman has composed the music of the movie. The movie was directed by Sriwass on Eros International.

YEMAINDHI EEVELA: This small budget film was released on 12 November, 2010 with zero expectations and got mixed reviews. Much to everyone’s surprise, the movie scored ‘hit’ at the box office.
RACHCHA: Prior to this film’s release mega fans were in disappointed mood with ‘Orange’s flop. However, the blockbuster success of ‘Rachcha’, its dubbed versions ‘Raksha’ and ‘Ragalai’ made the movie getting Rs.56 crores share collections at the box office. The movie stood as one among top five grossers of Tollywood then. Sampath Nandi turned out to be the most promising mass director of Tollywood.
BENGAL TIGER: Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja’s ‘Kick 2’ was a huge dud. Once again, Sampath Nandi weaved a magic and made Ravi Teja getting his form back. It’s going to be the biggest grosser among Ravi Teja’s films faring around Rs.40 crores.
Nandamuri Heroes Follow Pawan Dialogue!
As reported yesterday, Nandamuri Balakrishna is looking for big heads to negotiate with Junior NTR and Sukumar on possible pushing of ‘Nannaku Prematho’ release date from Pongal to January third, fourth week or February first week. Sources say, a prime TDP politician from Telangana region known for his close contacts with cinema celebrities is going to meet producer BVSN Prasad in next couple of days to forward the proposal from Balayya.
Apparently, Sukumar and NTR are in Spain with last leg of shooting. So, any final decision from BVSN Prasad has to be consulted with hero and director. Going by the high craze for Balayya Babu and Tarak or the political rifts dividing them, any collision of these two films can possibly damage their reputation in two states.
Like a dialogue from Pawan Kalyan ‘AththarintikiDaaredi’ which says, ‘Ekkado Neggalo Kaadu Raa Ekkada Thaggaalo Thelisonode Goppodu,’ let us see who among the two Nandamuri star heroes will step back?
Fancy offers for Abbayitho Ammayi satellite rights
Even though the demand for satellite rights of the small films decreased considerably in the recent times, good films despite their range are getting good offers from the TV channels. Latest entry in the list is Naga Shaurya’s Abbayitho Ammayi. Both MAA TV and Gemini TV have come forward to offer 3 Crore for the satellite rights of the film.
The makers have not given nod to any of the channels till date. Abbayitho Ammayi is all set for a grand release on December 24th as Christmas Special. The film is Maestro Ilayaraja’s 999th film.
As a tribute to the Maestro, the makers are planning to release the film in Tamil as well. A new girl, Palak Lalwani is making her debut with this film. Ramesh Varma is the film’s director and Vandana, Kireeti and Srinivas produced this film together.
Yet Another Young Heroine Shocks Puri
Looks like Puri Jagannadh is having some really tough times with his Rogue heroines. Initially, Puri signed in Bollywood starlet Amyra Dastur for his ongoing film Rogue. However, Amyra gave a rude shock to Puri by quitting the project and signing Jackie Chan’s Kung Fu Yoga.
Puri then roped in Aisha Sharma, sister of his Chiruta heroine Neha Sharma. Things were all fine and Aisha even shot for several days in the film’s Bangkok schedule recently. But here comes a shocking jolt to Puri. Apparently, even Aisha has exited from the project now. Inside sources say that Aisha left Rogue due to dates issues.
On the other hand, Aisha’s bad luck in Tollywood continues as she could not make her Telugu debut even though she was considered for high profile films like Shivam and Premam. With Aisha’s exit, Puri will now have to find her replacement opposite the debut hero Ishaan. Rogue also has Polish beauty Angela Krislinzki as the second female lead.
Loafer Run Time Locked
Mega Prince Varun Tej’s Loafer had completed its censor formalities recently and received U/A certificate. The movie’s run time according to the censor, is 139:52 minutes. Puri usually comes up a racy screenplay and if the content is good again, then it will be a convenient run time for audience to enjoy.
The movie will be releasing on 17th of this month in highest number of theaters in the actor’s career. The promotional drive will begin with the Platinum disk function this evening in Vijayawada.
Bollywood model Disha Patani is playing the female lead in the film and it marks her Telugu debut. Maverick director Puri Jagannadh is wielding megaphone for this movie. Sunil Kashyap is the music composer.
Bengal Tiger First Weekend Collections
Mass Maharaja Raviteja’s latest release, Bengal Tiger had completed the first weekend of its release. The movie had collected approximately 13.59 Crore share in the four weeks run at the box office.
Due to the very good first weekend, the movie had already recovered 80% of the investments of the buyers. How the movie sustains in the week days will decide the range of the movie. Whatever may be the result, the movie will end up as a safe venture if not profitable.

Amy to play a robot in Robot-2
Our readers are aware that Amy Jackson is playing the female lead in Rajinikanth’s next, the sequel to his successful Endhiran/Robot. We are now said that she will be seen as Robot in the film. She was flown to USA and underwent a special make-up test and a body scan at the behest of the visual effects team of the film.
The film which has been touted as the biggest-budgeted film in the history of Indian cinema, was officially launched on the occasion of Rajinikanth’s birthday on December 12. The regular shooting will begin later this month.
There are reports that Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger will play the villain in the movie and he has been reportedly paid a whopping amount to be part of the film. Besides Amy Jackson, the film will also has two other actresses.
Flops Affect Me, My Hits Benefit Heroes!!
“All the heroes I’ve worked have scored flops before. They have affected me hugely. But then, my films are hits and that benefitted both heroes and their next producers”, says producer Radha Mohan, who uprightly agrees that “Bengal Tiger” is a routine film. He states that the whole story is routine, but the presentation and screenplay are new.
Talking further, he said, “If Kick 2 is a hit, then Bengal Tiger’s business would have touched skies. As that turned flop, this movie didn’t recorded amazing numbers before release. But the film is running to packed crowds and we’ve already got breakeven”.
Probably his two films, Yemaindi Ee Vela with Varun Sandesh and Raviteja’s Bengal Tiger have gone through similar fate. Both the heroes are in flops before these films released. “We start making films with a thought that whole investment never comes back. Passion overtakes that risk”, he concluded.
Bengal Tiger features Raviteja, Tamanna and Raashi Khanna in the leads, while Posani and 30 years Prithvi single handedly dominated the comedy department. Despite mixed reviews, the film is doing well at B & C centres.
The Man Behind Chiru’s JVAS Passes Away
Even before Tollywood came out of the grief following the sudden demise of Satyamurthy, noted writer and father of music director DSP, the passing away of yet another senior writer Srinivasa Chakravarthi has shaken the entire film industry once again.
Srinivasa Chakravarthi was admitted to Gandhi Hospital recently after he had been struggling with serious illness for the last few months. Srinivasa Chakravarthi was the man behind Megastar Chiranjeevi’s most successful socio-fantasy film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari as he penned the main story of the film.
Some of notable films of Srinivasa Chakravarthi include Patnam Vachina Pativrathalu, Annadammula Sawaal etc. Tollywood’s senior fraternity expressed its deepest condolences over the departing of two popular yesteryear star writers on the same day.
Ghee, Liquor & Money Make Babu Angry
The recent adulterated Ghee and Liquors scams in Vijayawada have rattled the Chandrababu’s government to an extent. Adding to the woes, the latest Call Money scam in the AP capital has irked the AP CM even further. Commenting about the call money scam for the first time, Babu fired on the intelligence officials for their failures in regulating the wrong happenings.
Speaking at the District Collector’s Conference in Vijayawada, Chandrababu referred to the recent adulterated ghee, liquor and the latest call money scams and said that Vijayawada is being ill-reputed due to these scams. The AP CM questioned the intelligence department for its failure in gathering the evidences at the earliest.
Cautioning the authorities to be more vigilant since the capital region will be under the watchful scanner, Babu also directed the officials to inform the victims of the call money scam not to pay their debts and also stressed on booking the accused sexual offenders in the scam under Nirbhaya Act.
Federer Always Picks Sachin As His Batsman
Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar is termed as god of cricket. The ace player served Indian cricket team for couple of decades had retired from all formats of cricket couple of years ago. Nonetheless, even today wherever Sachin comes out to public, his fans chant his name. Like many, star tennis player Roger Federer is also an ardent fan of Sachin.
Federer’s father Robert is Swiss, but his mother Lynette is South African and that’s where the tennis great’s love for cricket comes from. The tennis superstar has long kept track of games in the cricketing world, particularly those involving India’s superstar Sachin, who too is a great fan of Federer and has often visited Wimbledon to watch him play.
“I met him (Sachin) when he visited Wimbledon. He was a lot of fun to talk to and he is a legend. Whenever I play cricket video games, I always pick Sachin as my batsman,” said Federer who was recently in India for an event.
Roger further said he loves Indian culture, people and food. The star tennis player hoped to come back to the country again with his family.
Rana Believes This Should Be His Last Birthday
Tollywood handsome hunk Rana Daggubati who is riding high with Baahubali humongous success is celebrating his birthday today. The most eligible bachelor of Tollywood turns 31. Actually, this is third birthday for Rana after joining Baahubali team.
“This is the 3rd birthday of Rana working with us on Baahubali. Wishing him many more happy birthdays with us,” wished Shobhu Yarlagadda, one of the producers of Baahubali. In reply, Rana said, “Thank you very much, but I think the birthdays on this set should stop. What say??”
Apparently, Rana wants Baahubali 2nd part should be wrapped up prior to his next birthday. He has already worked for three years on the project. Rana might not have any bad intentions, but have teasingly stated his makers to complete Baahubali: The Conclusion as soon as possible, so he can sign other new projects.
Baahubali has changed Rana’s fate wholly. Before release of the Rajamouli directorial, Rana was a struggling artist with not even a single hit to his credit. However, Baahubali provided him much needed break and fame. Rana is now well known face in Kollywood as well as Bollywood.
Baahubali: The Conclusion shooting is expected to resume in this month. 40% of the film was already shot and Rajamouli is busy with pre-production works. The 2nd part is likely to release later next year.
