Even before Tollywood came out of the grief following the sudden demise of Satyamurthy, noted writer and father of music director DSP, the passing away of yet another senior writer Srinivasa Chakravarthi has shaken the entire film industry once again.

Srinivasa Chakravarthi was admitted to Gandhi Hospital recently after he had been struggling with serious illness for the last few months. Srinivasa Chakravarthi was the man behind Megastar Chiranjeevi’s most successful socio-fantasy film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari as he penned the main story of the film.

Some of notable films of Srinivasa Chakravarthi include Patnam Vachina Pativrathalu, Annadammula Sawaal etc. Tollywood’s senior fraternity expressed its deepest condolences over the departing of two popular yesteryear star writers on the same day.

Tollywood handsome hunk Rana Daggubati who is riding high with Baahubali humongous success is celebrating his birthday today. The most eligible bachelor of Tollywood turns 31. Actually, this is third birthday for Rana after joining Baahubali team.

“This is the 3rd birthday of Rana working with us on Baahubali. Wishing him many more happy birthdays with us,” wished Shobhu Yarlagadda, one of the producers of Baahubali. In reply, Rana said, “Thank you very much, but I think the birthdays on this set should stop. What say??”

Apparently, Rana wants Baahubali 2nd part should be wrapped up prior to his next birthday. He has already worked for three years on the project. Rana might not have any bad intentions, but have teasingly stated his makers to complete Baahubali: The Conclusion as soon as possible, so he can sign other new projects.

Baahubali has changed Rana’s fate wholly. Before release of the Rajamouli directorial, Rana was a struggling artist with not even a single hit to his credit. However, Baahubali provided him much needed break and fame. Rana is now well known face in Kollywood as well as Bollywood.

Baahubali: The Conclusion shooting is expected to resume in this month. 40% of the film was already shot and Rajamouli is busy with pre-production works. The 2nd part is likely to release later next year.

Bapu Bomma Pranitha Subhash, the wide-eyed beauty from Bangalore, is yet to unleash her dominance over Telugu tinsel town. Despite getting a mega break with Pawan’s Attarintiki Daredi, this hottie failed to turn tides. She however says, media is failing to identify that she’s in a happy space.

When quizzed why Pranitha is picking only second lead roles, from Attarintiki Daredi to Vishnu’s Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda, to the present on she’s working on, Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam, she says, “It’s rubbish. If my character is story driven, and I’m having scope to perform, then I take up that role. Honestly I don’t know the meaning of first lead and second lead”. Of course, if one doesn’t convince themselves it will be tough to pick up limited scene roles.

Also this hot lady is feeling happy for life coming to a full circle. “I’ve debuted as a heroine with Pokiri remake in Kannada. Now, I’m sharing screen space with Mahesh himself, a doting and worry-free superstar. That’s a full circle, isn’t it?”, she avers. Good luck for Brahmotsavam Pranitha. In this Srikanth Addala directorial, Samantha and Kajal are other heroines.

Finally here is the official confirmation about Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film and it is right from Charan himself. The prestigious project is going to be a remake of Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Kaththi. And VV Vinayak who just delivered a disaster with Akhil, will be wielding megaphone for this prestigious project.

He previously directed Chiranjeevi in a blockbuster Tagore which is also a remake. Ram Charan and his mother Surekha will be producing the film under their new banner, Konidela Productions. The movie will go on floors early next year and will release in the second half of 2016.
