Chiranjeevi’s Best Political Decision

A different kind of mass hysteria was seen when the BJP led NDA got abnormal majority in 2014’s polls and held the power at the center. Everyone started praising Narendra Modi more than like anything. No one was in a position it was just an anti incumbency that had fetched victory for the BJP.

As BJP emerged as the biggest political party in the Parliament, obviously, everyone was eager to join the party. In AP, former minister of state, Purandeswari joined the BJP. Rumours were also floating around that Megastar Chiranjeevi would also join the BJP.

However, the poll results of Delhi and Bihar showcased the real stamina of the BJP now. The PM Modi’s administration, his speeches in foreign tours, his dressing styles and his arrogance are being criticized by the political analysts. At this juncture, it can’t be said the BJP would recreate the magic of 2014 polls in 2019. On the other hand, Congress Party seems to be bouncing back in forthcoming days just because of BJP’s innumerable blunders. All in all, Chiranjeevi’s decision staying with the Congress party forever will definitely get him good positions in politics in near future.

Here is a major shocker to SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’. The movie, which has been rejected for Oscar entry a couple of days ago, has now been rejected to be screened in Indian Panorama section at 46th International Film Festival of India.

A total of 5 entries from Tollywood were sent for IFFI screening but no movie has been picked by the jury. On the other hand, a total of 26 films have been selected by the committee to be screened at film festival. Most of the movies were chosen from Bengali, Hindi and Malayalam languages. Rejection of ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Srimanthudu’ left a big shocker to Tollywoof film fraternity.

It is being said that the movies selected for IFFI screening have fulfilled the prescribed norms. Praveen Saththaru, one of the jury members has made it clear that ‘Baahubali’ has not meet the norms prescribed by the committee.

However, Prabhas was acclaimed for his decent performance and looks in the movie. And now, Prabhas has become one of the big stars of Tollywood.

Pawan Kalyan Won’t Go To Warangal !

Pawan-Kalyan-HD-Wallpapers

Right now, the ruling party at Centre is canvassing aggressively for Warangal Lok Sabha by-polls. So it is being said that the local BJP leaders have demanded the central committee to bring in power star Pawan Kalyan for the campaign.During the last general elections, Pawan Kalyan had canvassed for the BJP-TDP alliance in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states and the alliance came to power in Andhra Pradesh. However, the impact was minimal in Telangana.

Also, since BJP had to lose face during the recently held Bihar polls, the local leaders don’t want the Central ministers to come down for campaigning. It is felt that the charisma of Pawan Kalyan will come handy to get good number of votes for the alliance. However, talk in Film Nagar is that Pawan Kalyan is not interest in the by polls. Unless he gets a call from central leadership and top bosses of BJP, it is highly unlikely for him to even step out. And the team of Sardar Gabbar Singh has already planned a lengthy schedule for the movie in Hyderabad and in Vadodara in Gujarat from this week. It is known that Pawan Kalyan did not attend the stone-laying ceremony in Amaravathi due to shoots. So it is being said that he will not go now too.

Does It Not Apply To Owaisi As Well ?

While all eyes were on the verdict of the Bihar polls and on the major parties, it was an equally significant election also for the MIM which is trying to convert itself into a pan-Indian party and entered the political fray in Bihar for the first time. After the results of the Bihar elections were out, MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said the Bihar assembly election result is a personal defeat of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“It’s a personal defeat of Modi as never before a prime minister campaigned so much in an election. The atmosphere in Bihar was that Modi should be defeated. Muslims and other communities had decided to defeat Modi,” he said. What Owaisi said is fine. But why did the MIM which contested in six constituencies, fail to win even one despite active campaigning by the Owaisi brothers? Going by the same logic, does it mean a personal defeat of the Owaisi brothers?

And if the agenda of the Muslims in Bihar was to defeat Modi, why did they not vote for MIM which trumpets itself as a true representative of Muslims? Hiding behind the defeat of the NDA, MIM and the Owaisi brothers are deflecting barbs aimed at them.

Mudragada’s Fresh Allegations On Babu

Long ago, Mudragada Padmanabham was a member of Babu’s cabinet. But that was quite a few years back. Now, Babu is back in power and Mudragada who is not in power, is active with Kapu politics.Right now, he has come out accusing Chandra Babu Naidu of instigating late NTR to burn buses, trains and government offices when he was suddenly out of power in 1984. He further threatened that Kapus will take up an agitation to counter Babu and his ways.

It is known that Babu had promised to set up Kapu Corporation and agreed to give Rs 1000 crore-fund for it. But he has given a mere Rs 50 crores and done away with the promise, alleged Mudragada. Mudragada further added that all sub-castes falling under the Kapu community would take out a huge rally on January 31 and pointed out that Babu came to power only due to support from Kapus.

Well, looks like an increasing number of Kapus are now out to get Babu as only recently Chegondi had released a book on Babu’s involvement in Ranga’s case and now Mudragada has once again accused Babu of mischief.

Even though they were just ‘half look’ pictures, it was enough to start a new trend on social media.

‘Andhra Octopus’ Rajagopal Goes Wrong On Bihar Polls !

Share

Lagadapati_Rajagopal1447034466

Lagadapati Rajagopal, who is also popular knows as ‘Andhra Octopus’ for his accuracy in poll surveys seems to have gone wrong this time in Bihar elections. The former Congress MP from Vijayawada, who is currently on ‘political sanyas’ attracted headlines with his poll surveys earlier which turned out to be almost correct with minor alterations. His survey predictions earlier proved correct when TRS, YSRCP fought bye-elections and during 2014 general elections, when he predicted comfortable victory for TDP in AP and TRS in Telangana.

It is learnt that Octopus Rajagopal took up survey in Bihar and predicted that BJP-led NDA would comfortably win the elections. There are rumours that Chanakya poll survey organisation is the benami of Rajagopal which conducted this survey. However, when actual results were out today in Bihar, BJP was seen nowhere and Nitish Kumar alliance recorded a grand victory. But some insiders say, Lagadapati’s survey also detected humiliating defeat for BJP in the survey but he deliberately manipulated survey results in favour of BJP to please BJP leadership with an intention of coming out of financial crisis and bank loan default being faced by his Lanco Group with the assistance of NDA government.

Here’s the Tollywood’s most successful onscreen pair, a muddy Prabhas and Anushka, posing or a selfie during the making of the epic ‘Baahubali rescuing Devasena’ scene in the magnum opus Baahubali. this photograph was unveiled by Prabhas himself as he wished Anushka saying, “Wishing the sweetest person I know, our beloved Sweety, a very Happy Birthday!” on 6th November.

Apart from the historical blockbuster of Baahubali, Prabhas and Anushka paired up with each other for two more successful films in the past, Mirchi and Billa. Both the best friends will once again be seen in the second part of Baahubali, the Conclusion, which is due for a release in 2017.

After Mega & Nandamuri, It’s Akkineni

bandla2

Fondly called as a ‘Blockbuster producer’, Bandla Ganesh is knwon for his ardent worshipping of Mega family heroes, be it Chiru, his god Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan. Bandla in fact produced films with all the leading Mega heroes and narrowly missed bankrolling Chiru’s 150th film.

Apart from the Mega heroes, Bandla Ganesh also produced Baadshaah and Temper with NTR and the flood of praises he heaped on NTR was a talk of the town those days. But after getting stuck into legal tangle and the following Auto Jhonny fiasco, Bandla Ganesh seemed to have been sidelined by the Mega family as he is hardly seen in Mega family events.

Now, looks like Bandla Ganesh is shifting his loyalties towards the Akkinenis. After a series of tweets praising Akhil to the hilt, Bandla Ganesh even flew down to Vizag last night to participate in the Akhil platinum disc event. Speaking on the occasion, Bandla Ganesh said that Akhil will rule Tollywood for the next 40 years and even expressed confidence that fans will watch Akhil at least 5 times.

Needless to say, Akhil, Vinayak and all the fans who are present were amused by Bandla’s enthusiastic speech. With rumors of Bandla Ganesh producing Akhil’s next, his association with the Akkineni’s is only adding fuel to the fire.

Loafer Theatrical Trailer Response

loafer

Mega Prince Varun Tej’s Loafer first theatrical trailer was released this morning. We start the talk of the trailer with the positives. Like all Puri heroes, Varun Tej was also given a makeover. His styling and the action sequences are impressive.

On the flipside, still the body language and dialogue delivery of Varun is not at ease. Also the movie has the shades of Puri’s previous films like Ek Niranjan and Chirutha especially the Good mother in Flashback part.

Some how the trailer is not impressively cut. We will have to see how the movie will be. Rumours are rife that the movie will be releasing for Sankranthi but there is no official word yet about it.

Ruthless Layoffs won’t Make Hiring Easy for Startups

Share

itcompanies1447034114

Layoffs over emails, town halls or through press releases at short notices before a festival show immaturity, human resources experts sayAs startups including Zomato and TinyOwl let go of employees because of changed strategies or shrinking funds, experts warn that the recent rush of layoffs could undermine hiring for India’s emerging businesses. “Startups are a risky business, many of them fail,” said K Ganesh, founder of entrepreneurship platform Growth Story. But “when a crisis hits, it needs to be handled maturely.” Indian startups requiring thousands of engineers and other skilled workers now compete with large technology companies for talent. But as online social media forums become venting grounds for laid-off employees and draw wide attention, startups face reputation risk that can cause serious damage to future hiring plans, experts warned.

“Decisions about layoffs should be conveyed in a cascading manner,” said Hema Ravichandar, independent human resources adviser and former global HR head at Infosys. “Such decisions at the time of festivities may have a lasting impact on future hiring.” At TinyOwl, two co-founders were held hostage by employees last week after they sprung a surprise second round of layoffs a week ahead of Diwali -ridding more than 300 personnel in about two months. Zomato in October laid off about 300 employees, many of them in the US, and Housing has sent away about 600 people this year. HelpChat is laying off about 150 employees, and online grocery retailer LocalBanya is also asking people to leave.

“I was asked to submit my access card when I arrived at the office,” said an employee of a Gurgaon based startup. “The CEO did not even bother to offer an explanation.” Layoffs over emails, town halls or through press releases at short no tices before a festival betray immaturity, human resources experts said. “India’s culture is yet to adapt to the hire-and-fire mentality as there is no social security like in the West,” said Ravichandar. “Startups should learn to do more with less.” Experts advised setting expectations at the time of recruitment at a startup. “Even before you hand over an offer letter… ask if the person is open to such risk,” said Harish Kumar, CEO at human resource consultancy Wenger and Watson that counts Flipkart and Amazon among clients.

Startups often also lack the expertise to handle layoffs as do large companies. “In big companies, we have outplacement strategies and experts to blunt the impact of a layoff,” said Ramgopal Rao, president at executive search firm Steinbach & Partner. “They would counsel laid-off employees and help them polish their CVs.” Even so, not all startups are resorting to knee-jerk downsizing.Struggling food ordering app SpoonJoy, which in October agreed to be bought by hyperlocal delivery startup Grofers, sent daily updates on its crisis, softening the eventual blow to employees.

“From the data-entry guy to the head of engineering, we were very transparent about our situation,” said Manish Jethani, cofounder and CEO. “We also got about 200 of our delivery staff placed in other companies such as Roadrunnr, Shadowfax and other agencies.” Ganesh of Growth Story took a similar approach at an earlier venture, TutorVista. “When we had to let go of onethird of our staff at Tutorvista (during the global economic crisis) in 2008, I addressed the employees personally. We gave them three months’ notice even though one month was the norm,” said Ganesh. “A few months later when things got better, we actually hired half of the people back.”
