Congressman Mani Shankar Aiyar has created a new low when speaking to a Pakistani channel in Pakistan; he said that talks between India and Pakistan cannot be resumed unless Modi is removed from power. There is indeed freedom of expression but it does not come at the expense of civility. How can Mani Shankar imply that the Prime Minister is not in favor of peace?

How can he speak against the Prime Minister of our nation to the news channel and people of a rogue state like Pakistan? We might have our differences back home and we have a forum for expressing them as well. But being an Indian, going to Pakistan and speaking out against our own Prime Minister?

It puts us in a very bad light and undermines the efforts of Modi on the global scale. And those people who make a hue and cry at the remarks of the BJP MP’s and Ministers have hardly bothered to speak out on this occasion.

Akhil Wrote Big Letter, Saying I’ll Quit

“I want to quit this”- It’s the letter received by King Nagarjuna from his younger son Akhil. Don’t panic, this letter was written by the youngster while he’s studying BBM after his plus-two in United States of America. And that shock of Nagarjuna, coupled by a reasoning, worked out now in the form an young star Akhil.

Explaining how Akhil has entered into films, Nagarjuna said, “One day he wrote me a big letter from USA, saying that he’s not interested in studies anymore and wants to quit. Even after completing studies, he wanted to enter films only, so it doesn’t matter if he finishes his degree or not, for him”. So, what did doting dad said to his son?

“I didn’t advise him any. He had a plan in mind already to join a 1 year acting course. After wrapping it, he came to India and got trained here again in acting and dances. In Bangkok, he took martial arts training. Then it took a year and half for us to finalise script”, says Nag, revealing that he can’t forget how Akhil wrote that big letter.

Film titles play a crucial role in determining the craze for the films and also increase fans’ expectations which in turn will result in huge box-office openings. However, Tollywood filmmakers often go clueless in choosing the right and powerful titles to their films.

In the process, several filmmakers decide to use the names of the star heroes themselves. For example, there were several flop films like Chiranjeevi, Captain Nagarjuna, Jayasudha, Mahesh Khaleja and Kalyanram Kathi in the past and recently NBK Lion and Akhil, all boasting the titles named after the stars featured in those films.

However, the disastrous box-office result of all these films indicate that naming of films with the names of star heroes is not a wise decision as it proved to be unlucky for most of these films.

And with Akhil’s colossal failure and the disastrous history, this flop sentiment of films with star heroes’ names as their titles has become a hot topic in Tollywood once again. Will filmmakers rethink about naming their films after stars from now on?

Lovely Heroine for Sreesanth’s Telugu Debut

After a lot of dilly dallying, finally the lead lady for Sreesanth’s much-anticipated Telugu debut has been finalised. The lady, who bagged the golden chance is none other than Shanvi Srivastava. Though the names of Kajal, Tamanna were heard initially, finally the makers end up casting Shanvi. Impressed with the outline, Shanvi agreed to be part of the film. She is expected to sign the film on the dotted line in a day or two.

Tipped to be a tri-lingual (Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam), the movie will be directed by Sana Yadireddy who will also be producing the film. Apparently, the film revolves around off-the-field life of a cricketer including betting, affairs. The movie written by BVS Prakash is said to be an out and out commercial venture. Noted technicians would be roped in for the film. If all goes well, the film will roll onto floors soon.
