Universal Hero Kamal Hassan’s next, Cheekati Rajyam is not releasing on November 10th as planned earlier. Its Tamil version, Thoonga Vanam will only release on that day and Cheekati Rajyam will see light two days late on November 12th.

Thoonga Vanam was censor recently and they say the censor talk is very positive. Kollywood media was abuzz that this may be the comeback film of the Ulaga Nayagan. The entire shooting of the film was completed in a record 39 working days.

The movie is a heavily inspired from a French film in which the entire story takes place in one night. The story revolves around a reputed cop and Kamal Hassan will be seen as a cop in this flick. Interestingly, Kamal had ropped in three action choreographers – Gilles Conseil, Silivain Gabet and Virginie Arnaud to compose the fight sequences of the film.

Kamal Hassan’s associate Rajesh is directing the film which is a bilingual made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Trisha is the female lead, their second film together after Manmadha Banam.

Mega Prince Varun Tej’s latest offering, Kanche had completed its first week run at the box office. The movie had an average opening in the first seven days collecting about 10 Crore share. The movie being a different genre and the low buzz before the release, the opening can be termed as Good.

Everyone doubted if the film sustains on the working days, but it did well. The makers have increased the publicity quotient post the release which helped. The team also took up a success tour which worked in favor of the movie. The final result will depend on how it lasts till the big releases arrive for Diwali.

Kamal will be seen as a police officer in “Cheekati Rajyam”, which is touted to be a stylish thriller that will unfold in a single night.

The movie also has Prakash Raj and Uma Riaz Khan in pivotal roles. Ghibran is the music composer.

Ramajogaiah Pastry said that he hopes ‘Cheekati Rajyam’ will be as big a hit as it has content similar to Hollywood thrillers and to the likes of Overseas audience.

In HM TV’s interview KV said, ” Ever since Chiranjeevi entered politics, he turned out to be a matured man and it is not fair for him acting in mass films as he had done those movies long ago.
