Fissures developed in Telangana TDP with senior leaders, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, and A Revanth Reddy involving in a bitter war of words in the meeting convened at NTR Trust Bhavan to discuss on candidates for ensuing bypolls for Warangal Lok Sabha and Narayankhed Assembly seat.

Revanth Reddy got furious over party leaders not informing him about the party activities and programmes and keeping him in the dark.

Dayakar Rao shot back saying that, “You attend party meetings now and then occasionally like ‘item songs’ in films. You have no right to find fault with others. TDP already suffered a lot in Telangana on account of you due to your cash-for-vote case. It’s high time you mend your ways and control yourself.”

This angered Revanth, who said, “Whatever I have done in cash-for-vote case, is for the sake of party’s future in Telangana. It’s not done for my individual gains. I am not like you who meet TRS leaders at night and involve in shady deals. I am also not a covert of KCR like you.”

With situation turning from bad to worse, the other senior leaders present there intervened and pacified both.

They told them that these kind of accusations and allegations would only tarnish the image of TDP in Telangana and benefit TRS and they should refrain from such acts in future.

The last and final Chief Minister of Undivided Andhra Pradesh, Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy is said to be feeling deeply humiliated by the TDP government.

It’s well known that the AP government has extended personal invitations to all the VIPs to attend the recent foundation laying ceremony for new capital Amaravati.

The government sent ministers, who met VIPs personally, handed over invitation cards and posed for photographs for media.

In the same way, a message was communicated to Kiran last week that AP ministers Kamineni Srinivas and Ayyanna Patrudu were visiting his residence to handover invitation card. Kiran too agreed to accept the invitation since it was being sent by ministers.

But he was shocked to find a TDP MLC and two-three ‘galli leaders’ of TDP carrying invitation card to his residence.

An angered Kiran took them to task asking them is this the way to behave with a former CM, who worked for over three years during critical period when Undivided AP was boiling with separate Telangana and Samaikyandhra agitations and relinquishing CM’s post against bifurcation of AP.

He also declined to pose for photographs with these ‘chota-mota’ leaders and denied entry for media personnel to cover the event.

Political analysts summarise this episode to a typical Indian political episode where no one cares if a politician loses power.
