Whom Ram Charan Should Work With?
Mega Power Star Ram Charan has been going through lean phase. After delivering industry hit- Magadheera, he hasn’t scored a big commercial hit till date. Charan’s last movie Bruce Lee is also ending as a flop. Charan’s next Thani Oruvan remake is also an action entertainer and will have less space for humor. So, Charan should work with class makers like Koratala Siva and Trivikram Srinivas for image makeover.
Ram Charan has garnered immense mass image, more than any other young hero, albeit he is continuously failing to impress classes and family audiences. In fact, this is the reason for Charan picking Krishna Vamsi and Sreenu Vaitla for his last movies- Govindudu Andari Vadele and Bruce Lee. Unfortunately, both the films lack required hilarity.
Charan was supposed to work with Koratala Siva, however he opted out of the project owing to some reasons. The same director then delivered one of the all time blockbusters with Srimanthudu. Siva’s debut directorial Mirchi was also a commercial hit. This director has ability to pen winning scripts. So, he is best option for Charan.
Trivikram Srinivas provided super hits to mega heroes Pawan Kalyan and Allu Arjun. While Julayi was first 40 crore club movie, Son Of Satyamurthy was 1st 50 Cr movie for Bunny. Attarintiki Daredi is not just an industry hit; it will remain as one of the most memorable movies in Pawan’s career. This matala mantrikudu can change fate of Charan who is looking for image makeover.
It’s Official: No Part 3 For Baahubali
For the last couple of weeks, there have been reports saying that Baahubali will be made into a franchise with a trilogy of films. Several reports even said that the film will be made into more than 3 parts as well, depending on their succes. Even the production house did not condemn the news, making it unofficially official.
Today, many media houses reported that the third part is confirmed and that it will not be a sequel to the second part but a prequel to the first part which will be exploring the world of Maahishmati in great detail and that it is expected to release in 2019. But here comes the much needed clarification straight from the horse’s mouth.
Reacting to the part 3 reports, Rajamouli finally broke his silence and tweeted, “Many rumours on Baahubali-3..:)
The story will conclude with part-2. No dragging..but the world of Baahubali will continue in a way that’s Been never experienced before ever. Will reveal the details when appropriate.don’t believe the rumours. Only I know what’s going to come..:)”
With this, curtains for all the rumours have been brought down and fans are already wondering about how the world of Baahubali will continue beyond The Conclusion. Currently, Rajamouli and his team are busy with the pre-production work and the shooting will commence in December.
Krish Made Same Mistake For Kanche
Critically acclaimed director Krish has been getting appreciations for his recent outing Kanche starring Varun Tej and Pragya Jaiswal in lead roles. Nonetheless, the film is too weak in mass centers, since the subject is limited for urban and metro cities. Apparently, Krish hasn’t learnt from past experiences.
Overall, Kanche may not become a commercial hit owing to many reasons. While high budget spent on the project is the major drawback, anti-climax is other reason for the mixed box office response. Hero Varun Tej dies in the climax, which Telugu audience will not accept.
In Krish’s previous film Vedam, lead actors Allu Arjun and Manchu Manoj die in the end. The film was a dud. His other film Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum also won accolades, but the Rana Daggubati starrer was a flop owing to over poetic narration and lack of entertainment.
Krish is making thought provoking films, but in order for producer’s safety he should include commercial aspects in his films. More over, he should change scripts of killing lead actors and should spend budget as per hero’s market value. Kanche is appearing like a visual-grandeur, but the screenplay is not easily understandable for some sections.
Although Kanche may not give a commercial success for Varun Tej, the film has showcased acting prowess of the young mega hero.
Jagan Committing One More Mistake?
The YSRCP Chief YS Jagan seems to be working on a masterplan to counter attack the AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu with his only trump card to push Babu to a corner, the special status issue. As per the buzz in the political circles, Jagan is contemplating resigning from his MLA post demanding special status.
“Along with Jagan, all the YSRCP MLAs and MPs are also set for mass resignations,” say the sources. However, several legislative leaders are also worried about their chances of winning in the by-polls. They are not sure if they can capitalize on the special status issue since a majority of the people has already come to terms with the centre’s U-turn in the special status promise.
Also, Jagan’s hunger strike demanding special status also did not incite any fervor among the people. In past too, YSRCP’s protests regarding loan waiver, students fees reimbursement and land pooling failed to make any impact on the people and the TDP government, pushing the YSRCP leaders into further apprehensions.
Apart from the past setbacks, Jagan is still reeling under the severe criticism he has been facing for his absence at the Amaravati inaugural ceremony. With Chandrababu’s archrival KCR attending the event, Jagan has been cornered. Jagan desperately needs an elixir to revive his party’s strengths in countering Chandrababu.
KCR’s Lunch At Krishna’s House for Tollywood
Ever since the formation of separate Telangana and forming the new government, CM KCR has been working in tandem with the Telugu film industry and its development. KCR already visited the Ramoji Film City and expressed his support to the Om City entertainment theme park proposed by Ramoji Rao. The CM is also mulling over setting up a Hollywood film studio in nearly 2000 acres near Rachakonda on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
Now, as per our close sources, KCR will visit Superstar Krishna’s residence and interact with several Tollywood bigwigs over lunch in the first week of November. This move by KCR will be observed keenly by film and political circles as KCR’s counterpart and AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu is working on developing the film industry on the beach road in Visakhapatnam.
Film industry adds its glamor and charm to the cultural vibrancy of Hyderabad and if a majority of Tollywood biggies either shift or extend their studios and production houses in Vizag, Hyderabad will lose its shine to an extent. Not only this, shifting or extension of the film industry in AP means the Telangana state losing crores of income through taxes and other revenues.
Will KCR request the participation of Tollywood biggies in his dream project, the new film city, in this luncheon? A press meet with KCR along with Tollywood’s bigwigs is also expected to be held in this regard.
