Power Star Pawan Kalyan acted in remakes of several super hits of Tamil. Out of these, Kushi is lauded to be best of remakes. The film was a runaway hit and made Pawan Kalyan a top star in Tollywood. He was then praised as right replacement for Chiranjeevi who was planning to bid adieu to films.

The humongous success of Kushi developed immense fans frenzy for Pawan Kalyan and due to these over expectations, every time the power star faced continuous debacles for years. While Jalsa provided him again a breakthrough, Gabbar Singh brought him one more tremendous hit. Last year, Pawan scored industry hit with Attarintiki Daredi. But, Kushi remains to be special movie for Pawan Kalyan forever.

Now, the man behind Kushi that is director SJ Surys is planning to make a sequel for the youthful romantic entertainer. He has already got nod from Vijay for Tamil version but it is uncertain whether he will approach Pawan for the Telugu version or look for a young hero.

On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan who is presently shooting for Sardaar Gabbar Singh may not accept any new films as he already committed under Dasari Narayana Rao and Dil Raju production houses.

For the first time ever, a heroine is coming up from Mega family. Konidela Niharika, as expected, is finally turning a heroine for silver screen.

Under the direction of acclaimed film maker Ramaraju, Niharika will be debuting opposite Naga Shourya, in the tentatively titled film ‘Oka Manasu’. So, how is her debut launch going to be?

We have seen how the likes of Ram Charan and Varun Tej are launched, at least how the muhurat shot of their debut flicks are held in industry. And nothing less than that, even Mega family is preparing similar exciting function for Niharika too.

Reports have that the whole of mega khandan including ‘dad’ Chiranjeevi, ‘naana’ Nagendra Babu, brothers Charan, Varun and cousins Allu Arjun, Sai Dharam Tej are going to attend the muhurat event of ‘Oka Manasu’ that is likely to be held on 30th of this month.

That itself shows Mega family is giving full support to their daughter’s career as a heroine. Undoubtedly this is going to be biggest feat ever in Telugu industry as we don’t have that tradition of star-daughters turning up as heroines.

Akkineni scion Akhil is earnestly waiting to see his debut movie with his name as title to get the first screening on October 22nd. The VV Vinayak directorial is made on a socio fantasy backdrop with sun god as principal matter in story.

Probably Akhil happens to be the first young hero in present Tollywood to make his debut platform in Telugu a launch even in Tamil Nadu. According to sources, Akhil is having a parallel release in Kollywood on 22nd under the title of Surya Kavacham. On the point of story and treatment of Akhil is purely fictional with beautiful imagination, language may not become a barrier.

As producer Nithiin and director Vinayak thought of universal appeal in their movie, they are planning to drive Akkineni Akhil into Tamil market with very first outing.

Gunasekhar’s Rudhrama Devi finally saw light today after battling several issues. The movie did not spring last minute surprises on audience with delays on the release day. The movie released as per schedule across the globe and the openings are largely good.

The movie has got some very good advance booking may be due to the effect of Baahubali success. And that helped the movie openings a lot. Give that the talk is good, we will have to see what the movie has in store beyond the first weekend.

Telangana government had given tax exemption for the movie in the state and that will immensely help the movie in Nizam. CM KCR along with his family is watching the film this Sunday.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan seem to have concentrated on improving his Tamil market. His next film, Bruce Lee will have a simultaneous release in Tamil. The movie is titled ‘Bruce Lee-2: The Fighter’ there. This was to avoid a conflict with some other Tamil movie which is under production with the same name.

That audio release event will kick-start the promotions there. They are trying to bring in Rajinikanth for the event but the Superstar is extremely busy in the shooting of his next, Kabali. Bruce Lee is gearing up for a grand release on October 16th as Dussehra Special.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s cameo, Recent trailers and audio have just increased the hype and the expectations on the film. Thaman had composed tunes for this movie. Srinu Vaitla is the director. Rakul Preet Singh is pairing up with Ram Charan for the first time with this film.

They say ‘Old is Gold’. Living up to it perfectly, here is the sneak peek from an old album where star filmmakers RGV, Gunasekhar, Krishna Vamsi, Teja, actor Uttej were seen together. RGV has shared the golden photo. Director Ram Gopal Varma by then was a star director. Thanks to his splashy debut Siva with Akkineni Nagarjuna, RGV went onto become an ace filmmaker by expanding his horizons into Hindi.

After remaking Siva with Nagarjuna in Hindi, RGV proved his mettle with films like Rangeela, Satya, Sarkaar without looking back. Then Gunasekhar, Krishna Vamsi, Teja were his assistants who later became directors by proving themselves. After Siva, Uttej became a notable actor and he was seen in most of Varma’s films.

Presently, Varma might be going through a rough phase. Yet he didn’t lose his charm which he earned his early days. Recalling those golden moments, RGV shared an old photograph from the album. This pic is certainly a blast from the past. Isn’t it?

“Bollywood is an unnecessary risk. Only if we focus for nearly 4-5 years, we could score a hit in Bollywood. Otherwise there is no practical possibility to make it big there”, avers Stylish Star Allu Arjun. With his own mega cousin Ram Charan failed miserably with first film at Bollywood, what would anyone expect Bunny to say? “We have to quit Telugu industry and then try there. Who has such guts?”, Bunny questions.

Probably “Zanjeer” flop show would have made it clear to Bunny that debuting in Bollywood needs more homework and trying it like a guest project is pure waste. But the talented Race Gurram star is not averse to Hindi films completely. He has some ideas to implement.

“As Bollywood is watching Telugu films and south movies extensively these days, we could plan for multi-language multi-starrer movies. Such films will run all over India without any barriers” he feels. Is Bunny hinting that he’s ready to take up a Bollywood-Tollywood bilingual that will have him featuring as a hero with another star Bollywood hero? If so, approach with stories both Telugu and Hindi directors.

A police case was lodged against choreographer-turned-director Amma Rajasekhar of Ranam (Gopichand-starrer) movie fame. The case was booked by Punjagutta police following a complaint from one Venkat Reddy, who happens to be a gym trainer. Going into details, gym trainer Venkat Reddy stays in the same apartment where Amma Rajasekhar’s office is there.

Apparently, there was a lot of noise, nuisance was reported from Rajasekhar’s office during night times. When Venkat Reddy reportedly tried to bring up the same issue with them on the Sunday night (Oct 4), only Rajasekhar’s driver was said to be there. During the incident, Amma Rajasekhar was said to be absent initially.

As per complainant Venkat Reddy’s version, Amma Rajasekhar indulged into scuffle soon after his return and even took a mobile phone of the complainant’s friend into his custody demanding his friend to come. When apparently Venkat Reddy turned up, Amma Rajasekhar along with few others beaten him up.

Meanwhile, other side of the story is that Amma Rajasekhar too complained that his driver was beaten up by one Venkat Reddy. Cops have booked a case and probing the issue.

After 3 years of making  and several months of postponement of the film’s release, Gunasekhar’s ambitious historic 3D film, Rudramadevi, released this morning. The film got fair word of mouth from the early morning premiers and looks all set to collect big over the weekend.

Gunasekhar made Rudramadevi with a budget of more than 80 crores. During the film’s making in these three years, the director faced several financial hardships, which continued till the release date. Gunasekhar’s brave battle against all difficulties earned him enough supporters from Tollywood.

Senior producer​ Thummalapalli Ramasatyanarayana, who produced Ram Gopal Varma’s Ice Cream series, was so moved by Gunasekhar’s resilience, that he went on to write an open letter to Megastar Chiranjeevi, requesting him to delay Bruce Lee’s release by at least a week, so that Gunasekhar and the distributors can earn their investments.

Quoting how the makers of Srimanthudu delayed their film to ensure Baahubali collect decent revenue, the producer asked Chiru why he has planned to release his comeback film, Bruce Lee, while Rudramadevi, for which he has given voice-over, has just released. It will be interesting to see how Chiru would react to this request.

Rudhramadevi in Gunasekhar direction with Anushka in title role is released today worldwide in highest number of theaters. The historical movie made on stereoscopic sound and 3D technology has exceptional attraction of Gona Ganna Reddy role done by Allu Arjun. The same character was offered to Jr NTR, Raviteja and others before stylish star snatched it for free without taking any remuneration.

Apparently, Anushka lived into central title role but Allu Arjun’s entry and all the episodes shot on him made Rudhramadevi a power battery. Perfectionist Allu Arjun trained for three months under a special teacher to learn exact Telangana slang for this character. Today, theaters are quavering with loud whistles and booming claps whenever Gona Ganna Reddy appears on screen to hand carry an electrifying performance.

Naa Molathadulo Thayathu and Jara Gammanundoy, the dialogues struck chord with Telangana crowds. Paruchuri Brothers and Gunasekhar should be thanked for sketching a powerful role to Allu Arjun which should remain as special jewel in the crown. Gona Ganna Reddy is a hit in Telangana and this is also helping Rudhramadevi in turn.
