Date fixed for Akhil’s censor

The Regional Censor Board in Hyderabad had allotted a slot for the censor of Akhil Akkineni’s debut movie, Akhil. The censor screening will happen on 16th of this month and the certification will be decided on the same day. The makers are keen to ready the first copy by then. The shooting of the last song in the film began today in a special set erected in Annapurna 7 acres studio.

The song is the ‘Akkineni Akkineni’ song in the album and will have steps composed by Jaani Master. This shoot will go on for three days and with that entire shooting will be complete. Business in all the territories slowed down significantly as there is a dearth of theaters due to Rudhrama Devi and Bruce Lee.

Nagarjuna and Vinayak want the movie to postpone to a later date but Akhil and Nithin would not listen. Hence the movie is coming on October 22nd as planned earlier amid all the odds.

Sukumar bowled over with Tarak’s big heart

Director Sukumar is working with NTR for the first time in his career. They have just completed a major schedule in London and he is totally bowled over with NTR’s big heart. Sukumar revealed how Tarak refused a posh hotel and insisted on staying along with the rest of the crew at economical place which also helped the producer.

Sukumar was also impressed with how NTR ate what others ate at the shoot. He also made sure he sit with all of them for lunch with out any ego.The next schedule of the film will begin on October 22nd in Spainand it will go on for 20 days. With that the entire shooting will be complete.

Post production works are already going on simultaneously and the movie is on track for January 8th release as Sankranthi Special. Rakul Preet Singh is romancing NTR for the first time in her career. BVSN Prasad is producing the film under his Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra Banner. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer.

As the release date draws closer, the excitement around Bruce Lee is slowly building up. We already known the actor will be seen as a fighter in the movie but murmurs in Filmnagar is that there is one more getup in the film and the actor will be seen as a Police officer. It is said that the movie story revolves around a pen drive and Cherry’s Police getup will be shown only at the end of the film.

The director Srinu Vaitla had picked up this sentiment of showing his hero as Police since Dookudu. So the sentiment will hold good now. Bruce Lee is all set for a grand release on October 16th across the globe.

The shooting of the movie is complete yesterday and the post production works are going on. The makers have made elaborate arrangements to make sure the drives reaches in advance for the overseas premieres and make sure all of them are screened as per schedule.

Venkatesh Rejects, Nagarjuna Accepts

Nagarjuna is on signing spree. The actor who is busy wrapping up Soggade Chinni Nayana is also working for a multistarrer Oopiri co-starring Karthi and directed by Vamsi Paidipally. While SCN directed by Kalyan Krishna is likely to release in November, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual Oopiri is scheduled for arrival in December.

Nagarjuna who recently started third season of Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, has signed to play lead actor in a new film to be directed by Kranthi Madhav. The director who won critical accolades for his class and mature making with Onamalu and Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju has already narrated a story to Nagarjuna who has given go ahead nod.

Actually, Kranthi Madhav approached Venkatesh with the same story. Although Venky first committed to do the project under Suresh Productions Banner, it was cancelled even after the official announcement owing to unknown reasons. Then, Kranthi Madhav recently narrated the subject to Nag who was spellbound with the content. The film is said to be clean family entertainer. Heroine and other details will be revealed soon.

On the other hand, Venkatesh has accepted to do a film with Maruthi who just delivered a blockbuster Bhale Bhale Magadivoy.

Cute and chubby Rashi Khanna hasn’t impressed with her acting again, while her lighter expressions in debut Oohalu Gusagusalade had won appreciation from all quarters. Since then, Rashi is trying to prove with her glamour, but the she’s failing to make that signature on Telugu audiences.

Exactly after a week of the flash raids by the income tax sleuths and the following media reports of seizure of nearly 100 crore unaccounted money, mutual funds documents and gift deeds etc, Tamil star Ilayathapathy opened up for the first time on the reports of his tax evasion since the last 5 years.

Refuting all the tax evasion allegations, Vijay said that he has been a law abiding citizen and a responsible tax payer all his life and that the media reports is tax evasion is utterly false. Vijay said that he has paid tax as per the norms and that his family cooperated with the IT officials during the raid.

Vijay further said that he and his family are deeply hurt with the tax evasion reports and requested everyone not to distort facts and cause him more hurt. On the morning of 30th September, the IT department officials raided the houses and offices of Vijay, Puli producers, Nayanthara and Samantha. The raids had a deep negative impact on Puli’s opening day collections.

Chandrababu to give Up his Promise Now?

If the ongoing discussions among the political circles are to be believed, CM Chandrababu Naidu is all set to handover one of the most crucial ministries in the cabinet, Revenue Ministry, to senior TDP leader and MLC Payyavula Kesav. Until now, the revenue ministry was under the reign of Deputy CM KE Krishnamurthy. Apparently, Payyavula Kesav has been lobbying heavily for the ministry.

This sudden move by Chandrababu has led to several discussions about his poll promise of empowering BCs by making a BC candidate the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, apart from paving a red carpet for BCs in party’s political hierarchy. However, with Naidu replacing KE Krishnamurthy (BC) with Payyavula Kesav (Kamma), minorities might not be amused.

On the other hand, there have been several talks about KE Krishnamurthy being cornered even as the Deputy CM. Chandrababu, as per his poll promise, got two Deputy CMs and he is now sacrificing KE Krishnamuthy to bring Payyavula up the ladder. So far, there have been no reports about KE Krishnamurthy’s future role in state cabinet.

Allu Arjun’s screen time in Rudhrama Devi revealed

Our readers are aware that Stylish Star Allu Arjun is playing the role of Gona Ganna Reddy in Gunasekhar’s Rudhrama Devi. This is no little cameo as being said. The screen time will be around 50 minutes. Bunny also practiced hard the Telangana dialect for this role which is said to be a major highlight in the film.

The movie will have simultaneous release in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam on October 9th. The 158 minutes film was recently censored in Telugu and got U/A certificate. The movie is getting good release across the Telugu states given there is no competition from biggies. The Tamil version will see the light on October 16th.

Rudhrama Devi is said to be India’s historical stereoscopic 3D film in which Anushka will play the title role while Rana will play the role of Chalukya Veerabhadrudu, the prince of Nidavardhyapuram (Present Nidadavole). Allu Arjun is roped in to the project for the role of Gona Ganna Reddy to increase some hype.
