The tragic passing away of Edida Nageswara Rao, one of the senior most and much revered producers of Telugu film industry, has left the entire Tollywood in a state of deep shock and grief. Several industry people and even the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu paid their homage to the legend who produced several iconic classics.

Paying his tearful tributes, Allu Arjun said that Edida Nageswara Rao had been a family friend for several decades and that the Mega family has lost a dear friend with his death. Bunny, with a lump in his throat, said that Edida Nageswara Rao had always been the first person to be invited to all his family functions, including his marriage.

Recollecting his family’s fond association with Nageswara Rao, Bunny said that his entire cousins and family members acted in Swati Mutyam. Bunny also said that Nageswara Rao never made films for the sake of money and that he was instrumental in Telugu film industry earning its respect.

Ram Charan is hectic busy with Bruce Lee shooting as the release date is nearing. The entire production work will be wrapped up in a couple of days and post production works are also progressing simultaneously.

It is a known fact that, Bruce Lee will also release in Tamil as Bruce Lee 2. While Telugu version audio album is already a chartbuster, Tamil version will have its audio launch on October 7th. They are not simply releasing the album like a regular dubbed movie; several biggies are invited for the event.

Ram Charan is also making it for the event to be celebrated in Chennai to create buzz on the Tamil version of his film. And it may be mentioned that the mega power star is biggest Telugu stars in Tamil with good market value there than his contemporaries. Ever since his Magadheera hit the Tamil screens, Ram Charan is seizing decent shares from neighboring state too.

Recent Telugu films Baahubali and Srimanthudu performed exceptionally well in Tamil. Both Prabhas and Mahesh Babu took part in promotional events of their respective films and had attended audio launches too. Now, Charan is doing the same for his film. Presence of lead actor for a promotional event surely brings huge mileage to particular film. Considering this fact, Telugu stars are attending audio release and other publicity programs.

Buzz is that, Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth were also invited for Bruce Lee audio launch; however it is not officially confirmed by the makers. Interim, Bruce Lee will have simultaneous release in Telugu as well as Tamil on October 16th.

Anushka, ever since her filmy debut a decade ago, is being admired by numerous fans down south and she is still at the peak of her career with some of the biggest films like Baahubali, Rudramadevi etc. All these years, Anushka has been in several rumors regarding her alleged rumors with a few heroes in Tollywood and Kollywood.

In her recent interview, when Anushka was asked about the rumours, she took it sportingly and said that she has been linked with almost all the stars she had worked with in Tollywood, except Rana. Revealing the reason behind this, Anushka said that she calls Rana as brother and that Rana calls her sister.

Adding further, Anushka said that she has been linked the most with Arya, her co-star’s in Varna and the upcoming Size Zero. ‘But such things are part of life. Opening ceremony of the second edition of India Super League was a grand gala with biggies like Sachin Tendulakr, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Mukesh Ambani, Alia Bhatt and etc attending the glittery affair hosted by Bollywood young actor Arjun Kapoor. When the host announced the entry of superstar Rajinikanth, the crowd went gaga.

Rajinikanth was brought on a topless vintage car and the sound of the spectators kept rising as the car came near the stage. Best and surprising moment at the event was, Aishwarya Rai touching Superstar’s feet as mark of respect. When Aish reached the podium, she bent down and touched Rajinikanth’s feet despite the company of other living legends like Amitabh and Sachin.

Dusky beauty Priyanka Chopra hit the headlines with tremendous show in her debut American Television program. The starlet plays Alex Parrish, a young FBI recruit implicated in a terror attack on ABC’s new show, Quantico. The story alternates between two timelines: From Alex training at the academy with a bunch of new recruits, to Alex on the run to find the real culprits and clear her name.

One of the best things about the show is getting to watch Chopra do things that female protagonists still don’t in our typical desi films. As Alex Parrish, she gets to be the person the entire story revolves around. Priyanka gets to be unremorsefully in control of her life and do whatever she wants. She gets to be strong, chaotic and vulnerable at the same time. Priyanka is lauded to be best action heroine Bollywood never produced.

Although the show may have received mixed reviews, Chopra’s performance is the talk of town. Variety magazine called her an “arresting lead”; The New York Times said she was “the strongest human asset on the show” and Vulture said “Chopra’s a huge star overseas for a reason: She’s very compelling on screen”.

The makers of Anushka’s Size Zero planned to release their film on October 9th provided that Rudhrama Devi is not releasing. They have even sent out a press note when there are rumours floating about Rudhrama Devi postponement. But now with Rudhrama Devi releasing, they have decided to postpone their film.

Given that all the release dates are full till Diwali, they will have a tough time scheduling their release. There are reports that Size Zero will have a remix song from ‘Sannajaaji padaka’ from his film ‘Kshatryia Putrudu’. This song comes when Aarya and Anushka are watching it on TV and imagine themselves in it.

The makers have also obtained permission from the original composer, Ilaiyaraja. Size Zero is a romantic comedy. The film also has Sonal Chauahan in its ranks. It has a stellar cast line up with heavyweights like Prakash Raj,Urvashi, Ali, Posani, Master Bharat. Ananganaga O dheerudu fame Prakash Kovelamudi is wielding megaphone for this film.

Actor Sharwanand’s last outing, Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju despite so much of critical acclaim did not do well at the box office. The actor is eager to make amends with his next film, Express Raja. The movie is being directed by Merlapaka Gandhi who delivered a blockbuster with his first film, Venkatadri Express.

Besides this project, Sharwa has one more project lined up in the direction of a new comer, Bhaskar. The movie is reportedly titled ‘Juliet – Love of Idiot’. The film will have its launch after Sharwa completes Express Raja. Mollywood actress Niveda Thomas will be making her Telugu debut with this movie.

On the other side, there is no sign of release for Sharwanand’s other project, Yemito Ee Maaya. The movie shooting was completed long ago but it could not release till date due to some financial issues plaguing the project. The movie is a bilingual, directed by Tamil director, Cheran.

Tamil music sensation Anirudh Ravichander is finally making his Telugu debut. He will be scoring music for Trivikram-Nithin’s A..Aa. He was to make his Telugu debut a year ago with Ram Charan’s Govindhudu Andari Vaadele. But Bandla Ganesh avoided him as he is too pricey.

But the makers of A..Aa roped in to their project paying him a whopping 1.5 Crore which is the highest pay cheque for any Telugu music director. The regular shooting of the film begins on October 6th and it will go non-stop till completion. The makers are planning Sankranthi 2016 release for the movie.

Trivikram’s close friends, Harika and Haasini creations will produce this youthful entertainer. They have previously produced Trivikram’s Julayi and S/O Satyamurthy. While Samantha plays the main heroine, Malayalam Premam fame Anupama Parameshwaran is the second heroine. It marks the Telugu debut of Anupama.

Shruti Hassan is finalized as the main lead for Naga Chaitanya’s Majnu which is the remake of Malayalam blockbuster, Premam. Shruti had demanded a whopping 2 Crore for the movie but after some negotiations kept it to 1.25 Crore which is still huge for Chaitanya’s market. The movie will be directed by Karthikeya fame Chandoo Mondeti and will have three heroines.

Amyra Dastur and Anupama Parameshwaran are confirmed as the other two heroines. Naga Chaitanya is licking his wounds after that failure of Dochey and is keenly working of his next Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo with Gautam Menon to be back on success route.

Naga Chaitanya will take up the Telugu remake of Malayalam super hit, Premam after the completion of Saahasam Swaasaa Saagipo which is currently in the last leg of its production. Premam is a blockbuster hit in Malayalam. The movie with subtitles did extremely well across the country.

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus film, Baahubali was screened at Busan International Film Festival and received huge admiration from the audience there. Eventually the Japan rights of the movie were also sold out. Leading independent distributor, Twin Co. had acquired Japan rights of the movie.

The makers are also in talks the distributors of Latin America, Germany and European territories. They want to have an extensive release of the movie across the globe before the second part release. It is already known that the movie is recently got sold out in China.

The Chinese version will see the light in November in as many as 5000 screens. On the other side, Rajamouli is currently busy giving final touches to the script of Baahubali-2. The movie is already 40% complete along with the first part. The shooting for the rest is likely to begin in November.
