Now, ‘Mobile Phones’ Added To Amma List

Usually, Tamil Nadu government implements new schemes to attract common public. Likewise, the current chief minister Jayalalithaa is also initiating innovative programs on regular basis.

After serving the middle class through the schemes of Amma Canteens, Amma Cement, Amma Mineral Water, Amma Salt etc for very less and affordable price, Jayalalithaa has today announced a new scheme called ‘Amma Mobile Phone’ for women self-help groups (SHG). The mobile phone scheme is one among many of the Amma brand schemes implemented in the state.

Computerized mobile phones loaded with special Tamil software (Amma Kaipesi Thittam) would be provided to 20,000 SHG trainers in the first phase at a cost of Rs 15 crore, under the scheme.

The SHGs maintain several registers, including those related to meetings, payment of subscription, savings, in-group loans and repayment.

Tamil Nadu has 6.08 lakh SHGs with a membership of 92 lakh women. The federations are also formed at the village level and each one comprises of 25 groups.

ABN RK’s Role In KCR’s Deeksha?

We all know the kind of mass hysteria KCR managed to generate with his fast unto death protest towards the end of 2009, demanding separate Telangana. People from all the corners of Telangana galvanised and brimmed with revolutionary fervor and KCR became the torchbearer of the separate Telangana movement.

However, KCR ended his fast within a short time of his commencement of the Siddipet deeksha on 29th November 2009. This angered many students from the Osmania University who protested against KCR’s backtracking. Noticing the impending heat, KCR again continued his protest, but this time from the NIMS Hospital, where his condition kept on deteriorating and causing huge panic among the then AP government.

In a recent revelation ABN chief Radhakrishna revealed a few startling incidents and about his involvement behind KCR withdrawing his deeksha at NIMS. RK said that KCR asked him to mediate with Telangana folk singer Gaddar, who was spearheading the OU protests, by convincing the revolutionary artiste to openly ask him to withdraw his fast. RK, after much negotiation with Gaddar, convinced him and made Gaddar to request KCR to withdraw his fast through media.

KCR then withdrew his protest and in RK’s words, KCR then avoided Gaddar totally and that the real secret behind this avoiding was that KCR getting a call from Congress Principal Secretary Ahmed Patel, assuring him of commencement of the groundwork towards the formation of separate Telangana state.

Comedian Venu Madhav is very often seen on films of late. The actor shares good rapport with Power Star Pawan Kalyan. The duo acted together for several films and that dialogue of Venu Madhav in Tholi Prema giving grades to girls was hilarious and provided big breakthrough for the comedian. In no time, Venu Madhav became one of the top comedians. The ‘Bhookailas’ actor has revealed an interesting flashback of his ‘three days mum’ with Pawan Kalyan during Annavaram shooting.

“I and Pawan were not in talking terms for 3 days while shooting for Annavaram. We avoided each other during the shoot even though were sitting at the same place. The atmosphere on the sets was appeared to be serious with this gesture. In fact, we had gala time just before to these 3 days. Producer and director didn’t dare asking us reason for the silence between us.

What actually happened then was- the third day we were about to shoot dying scene of me. Since most of the earlier scenes between us were riotous, we didn’t face any problem shooting those scenes. But, in that particular scene, I will die in Pawan hands and will convey emotional dialogues appealing to take good care of his sister.

We kept mum for those 3 days in order to bring afflictive ambience to the scene. We both uttered our respective dialogues avoiding other’s faces. Actually, if we see each other, we can’t stop laughing. So, this is the reason for me and Pawan avoiding each other for shooting the emotional scene.”

Until Venu Madhav revealed this matter to his makers, they were literally in tensions. Unfortunately, Annavaram failed to attract movie buffs.

In a huge disappointing news for extreme lovers of porn, a new study at the Case Western Reserve University revealed that the very idea of porn addiction can have serious effects on a porn addict’s mental health. “While some say porn is a healthy form of sexual expression, others believe it is an evil that leads to unrealistic expectations and addiction,” revealed the researchers.

The researchers found out shocking trends like depression, anger, anxiety and other psychological issues are rampant among the people who believed they are addicted to pornography. However, this mental disorder is not a consequence of watching porn, but due to the feeling that watching porn was becoming an irresistible routine.

This further aggregates the person’s mindset as he develops an adverse interpretation of his self behaviour like ‘I have no power over this’, which then leads to severe psychological distress, guilt and some even worry about what will happen if they watch too much of porn. Public shame, a troubled marriage, low performance at work can be some of the consequences of this psychological distress.

Wait 2 More Months For Rudramadevi!

If sources are to be believed, the much-delayed Gunasekhar’s Rudhramadevi has postponed once again. It’s learnt that the film can’t make it on October 9th as planned, and has been deferred to December. The movie which saw several release dates so far, was postponed again due to some business issues. The multi-lingual film now has to opt for fresh release date.

Even the Hindi-dubbed version, which was initially bagged by Abhishek Pictures in association with Reliance Entertainment, reportedly backtracked from the project. All these things have led Rudhramadevi back to square one compelling its director-producer Gunasekhar to postpone the film. “Gunasekhar has no other option now but to postpone the film. He has put in all his efforts on the project and even sold his properties to make the film,” said a source in the know.

Touted to be India’s first historic stereoscopic 3D film, the movie stars Anushka Shetty in title role Rudhramadevi and Rana Daggubati as Chalukya Veerabhadra, prince of Nidadavolu. The film also has ensemble cast and is in news for several reasons including losing golden jewelry of Anushka Shetty on the sets. With the postponement of Rudhramadevi, the road is all clear for Anushka Shetty’s Size Zero which is slated for Oct 9 release.

Mega Daughter Not In A Hurry To Pick Her Second

Couple of days ago, we broke the news of Niharika Konidela signing her debut film in the direction of acclaimed director Ramaraju of ‘Mallela Teeram Lo Sirimalle Puvvu’ fame, and here comes the news about another one. Just a day after Niharika informed us that her ‘daddy’ Chiranjeevi is quite happy for her getting into films, reports came out that she signed her second film.

Apparently, director Ayodhya Kumar of ‘Minugurulu’ fame narrated a script to her the other day and she gave an immediate nod. We hear that Nagababu is taking call on the scripts being signed by his son Varun Tej and daughter Niharika. Reports further said that Nagababu was stunned after listening to the story narrated by Ayodhya Kumar, and wondered what the script was doing all these days if not waiting for his daughter.

This new project was reportedly said to be be Telugu-Tamil bilingual and it will be Niharika’s debut film in Kollywood. Apparently, Niha wants to focus on both Tamil and Telugu circuits, and wants to prove herself as an able actress who could pull off author-backed roles with huge intensity.

But here’s the much needed confirmation. As per the talent management company that’s managing Niharika’s PR, the Mega niece has not signed the film yet and that she is no hurry to sign back to back projects, instead concentrate on her debut film for the moment.

If NTR Rejects, Mass Raja Picks Up

Mass Raja Raviteja has become choosy these days when it comes to picking up films. He’s taking one shot at a time and not rushing to finish many projects in a calendar year. Latest we hear is that he is on the verge of signing two star directors who delivered to hits recently.

Director Koratala Siva’s next is still clouded with confusion, as some say Jr NTR okayed his flick, but insiders are still not confirming this movie. In fact, Jr NTR is said to be spending time with family and son Abhiram before he flies to Spain to take part in next schedule of “Nannaku Prematho”.

Latest update is that Koratala Siva has narrated the same line Jr NTR is said to be thinking back-and-forth to give nod, to Mass Raja Raviteja, and got okayed immediately. Seems like for Siva, if one star-hero rejects another will pick that subject. More light on this buzz is yet to be seen.

Meanwhile Raviteja has another film in the offing under the direction of Harish Shankar. Post wrapping “Bengal Tiger”, Ravi wants to start this film with the director who has given him both “Shock” and “Mirapakai”.
