During the separate Telangana movement, one of the frontrunners among the Andhra region leaders who vehemently fought against the state division was the firebrand Congress leader Lagadapati Rajagopal. The popular Vijayawada MP and noted industrialist even vowed to go on a political excile if the stage was divided.

Separate Telangana formed and sticking to his words, Lagadapati didn’t even contest in last year’s general elections and went into oblivion from the state’s political scene. Apart from a rare appearance at the Godavari Pushakaralu, Lagadapati was seen nowhere in active politics.

Now, Lagadapati’s interaction with TDP chief and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu during Babu’s New Delhi tour on Thursday has gained much prominence among the state political circles. Already, rumours are rife that stage is all set for Lagadapati’s grand entry to TDP very soon.

Going through the details, Guo Yuanyuan who is professionally a nurse was shooting her wedding photos on a beach in Dalian, north east China, when she heard a man had drowned. She rushed to the scene and tried to resuscitate the man. Unfortunately, despite her best efforts, he eventually died.

The man was said to have suffered a heart attack while swimming in Dalian, north east China, and drowned. Guo Yuanyuan spent over 20 minutes performing CPR therapy on the man until the ambulance service arrived.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is showing more interest in shifting the ‘seat of power’ from Hyderabad to the new capital region of Andhra Pradesh to run the State administration from Vijayawada. It is now critical for the government to divide funds rightly and cut down unnecessary expenses to come across financial burdens.

Nonetheless, the state government is facing criticism for spending money like water on unnecessary things. The condemnation has been further increased in recent times with higher officials preferring flight journeys for regular programs in capital city area and also for meetings with Naidu who is mostly staying of late in Vijayawada.

So, Govt has announced new policies regarding flight journeys of these Babus to cut down outflows. ‘Flight journeys are to be used if and only if the expenses will be less than Rs 10,000. Or else they should choose car journey. Higher officials should not bring their staff for Hyderabad-Vijayawada trip. They should stay only in tourism hotels, rather than star hotels,’ as per the new rules.

Political analysts say that, though it was bit late, Babu has taken right decision to stop flight journey pleasure of Babus (Govt higher officials).

In a record achievement, Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, has been adjudged the country’s richest person for the 9th consecutive year. The Forbes India has reported the list of country’s top billed billionaires and Mukesh Ambani topped the chart with a net worth of $18.9 billion (Rs.127,700 crore). However, there has been a steep decline of $4.7 billion in the oil and petroleum magnet’s net worth from 2014.

With $18 billion net worth, Dilip Shanghvi, the leader of Sun Pharmaceuticals, stood in the second spot and his assets took a steep rise with the acquisition of the Indian drug giant Ranbaxy Industries for $4 billion. With $15.9 billion net worth, leading IT czar of Wipro, Azim Premji, occupied the third spot, but witnessed a decrease of $500 million of his net worth compared to that of 2014.

The remaining top 10 billionaires in the country are the Hinduja brothers (4) with $14.8 billion, Pallonji Mistry (5) with $14.7 billion, Shiv Nadar (6) with $12.9 billion, Godrej family (7) with $11.4 billion, Cyrus Poonawalla (9) with $7.9 billion and Kumar Mangalam Birla (10) with $7.8 billion net worth respectively.

This year’s surprise entry is the latest billionaires in the country, the Flipkart co-founders Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal with $1.3 billion each (approximately Rs. 8,582 crores). The total wealth of India’s top 100 richest remains almost unchanged at $345 billion, to that of $346 billion in 2014.
