Mahesh Babu super praises on Koratala Siva
Our readers are aware that Superstar Mahesh Babu had gifted a swanky Audi A6 Matrix car to his Srimanthudu director Koratala Siva the other day. This morning he heaped praises on Koratala in his Twitter. “@sivakoratala Words and things are not enough for what U have given me sir 🙂 Thank You for giving me my career’s best film Srimanthudu (sic)” Mahesh tweeted.
To which Siva Koratala thanked him and posted, “@urstrulyMahesh never possible without ur support sir. Been an extra ordinary journey. Looking forward to another (sic)”. Its good to see both of them acknowledging each other’s role in the success. Mahesh Babu is extremely delighted with Koratala’s work which got him a memorable hit.
Srimanthudu is now the second biggest hit ever. Only Rajamouli’s Baahubali is ahead of Srimanthudu. The Worldwide share of the movie is more that 80 Crore share and the movie’s run is almost complete. This success is very special for the Superstar as he was bogged down by back to back failures of 1-Nenokkadine and Aagadu in the past one year.
RGV Drinking on Sets of Killing Veerapan
Director Ram Gopal Varma seems to be back to his old habit – boozing. Although Varma openly stated that he gave up drinking and abstaining from his favourite alcohol, it seems, he is back to his forte. Varma was recently spotted partying with his cast and crew of his forthcoming film ‘Killing Veerappan’.
As part of the wrapping up of shoot of Killing Veerappan, RGV along with his teammates had a great fun. The pics say that all. Let’s hope Killing Veerappan would end Varma’s flop saga and bring him back to limelight like before. The auteur of films like Satya, Sarkar, Rangeela is now on a downward spiral. All his recent films, including his romantic drama 360 Days, disappointed.
If Nirbhaya Is For Women, It’s Abhaya For Men
An innocent man hailing from Raibag village of Belgaum district in Karnataka, is a victim of a woman who misused the law. The man’s colleague has been harassing him to marry her. However, he refused the offer and didn’t go back on his decision even after she threatened to kill him. Frustrated, the lady kidnapped her dream boy, taking help from friends and tied the knot. She cleverly shot the entire episode and started blackmailing him. In such a bizarre condition, the guy approached police. Ironically, police are now investigating whether the guy is truthful or not.
This incident once again supports the men who are witnessing women harassment and claiming to setup Abhaya act for them. The main intention behind the Indian government initiating the Nirbhaya act is to frighten the rogues against misbehaving with women and to eliminate sexual harassment. A lot of men are scared of what can happen if women resort to abusing this power and using the law in malicious ways, just like the Belgaum man’s case.
Given that there have been several instances of misuse of women-friendly provisions in criminal law, especially in cases of souring marital relationships, men fear that the same applies to anti-sexual harassment laws. Few men supportive organizations are planning to start agitation to bring Abhaya Act for men.
Deleting WhatsApp, Google Hangout Messages Is A Crime
The government of India is toying with the idea of implementing a new policy which will make the deleting of messages on encrypted messaging services such as WhatsApp, Google Hangouts or Apple’s iMessage a punishable offence. The government has proposed the National Encryption Policy in which the mobile phone users will have to keep a copy of all the messages from their instant messaging apps for 90 days.
The proposed National Encryption Policy (NEP), which was prepared by the experts at the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) under the union ministry of communications and IT, will even ask the online businesses to save sensitive information of the users including passwords in plain text form, which might lead to the impending threat of hackers getting access to all the private information. The NEP policy draft has been published online by the government to know the feedback from netizens and companies.
The new policy allows the government to determine the encryption standards, which even online business giants like WhatsApp and Google must follow. The proposed National Encryption Policy reads, “all citizens including personnel of Government / Business (G/B) performing non-official / personal functions, are required to store the plain texts of the corresponding encrypted information for 90 days from the date of transaction and provide the verifiable Plain Text to Law and Enforcement Agencies as and when required as per the provision of the laws of the country.”
Already, there has been an increasing dissent over the centre’s new move in the name of security efficiency. Netizens who have an issue with the new policy or even have a suggestions on the NEP draft policy can mail their reactions to akrishnan@deity.gov.in by October 16.
Postponement for Kanche
Here is a disappointing news for Mega fans. The much awaited film of Varun Tej, Kanche is now postponed. The movie was earlier planned for October 2nd release as Gandhi Jayanthi Special but is now pushed back. They are now seeing at October 30th or November 6th release.
The reason for the postponement is not known. This postponement will come as a blessing in disguise for Ram’s Shivam as it gets free run at the box office till Rudhrama Devi release on October 9th. There are good expectations on Kanche as the recently released theatrical trailer is quite interesting.
Kanche is set in the backdrop of World War-2 and Krish claims that ‘Kanche’ is a film that has never been made in Telugu Cinema and quite possibly Indian cinema before. Bollywood model Pragya Jaiswal is romancing Varun in this film.
Singeetham Srinivasa Rao who is known for his critically acclaimed films like Pushpaka Vimanam, Aditya 369 etc is playing a crucial role in the movie.

One More Distributor Turns Producer!
Distributor Abhishek is the new kid on the block in tinsel town. Especially after the stupendous success of Srimanthudu, Abhishek came to limelight. Bought for theatrical rights of Mahesh Babu-Shruti Haasan starrer for Rs 14 Crore, the film turned out to be Box Office money spinner. He also bought the Hindi dubbed rights of Gunasekhar’s magnum opus Rudhramdevi in association with Reliance Entertainment.
The latest buzz is Abhishek is soon turning as producer. What’s more? He has already roped in actor Nani for his maiden production venture. Given that Nani is basking in the glory of Bhale Bhale Magadivoi, zeroing in Nani is definitely seen as a good move. Yet-to-be-titled movie will be wielded by a newcomer director. The subject is said to be light-hearted entertainer and film is expected to be made appeal for youth.
In the past several successful film distributors like Dil Raju, Sai Korrapati, Sudhakar Reddy have turned into producers and proved themselves as successful producers too. Let’s wait and watch what’s in store for this new distributor-turning-producer.
