Legendary Indian director Mani Ratnam’s legacy is nothing new to film lovers in India. The country’s most highly revered director’s greatness has been witnessed even by the western countries on numerous occasions through film festivals and special events. And now, the legend has bagged yet another world honour and this time from America.

The Museum of Moving Image in New York, America, will pay its tribute to the Indian pride by organizing a special retrospective of three of his popular films, Roja, Bombay and Dil Se on a big screen in 35mm format. Titled ‘Politics as Spectacle: The Film of Mani Ratnam’, this special retrospective will take place from 21st July to 2nd August.

Mani Ratnam will be invited to the celebration of his great work and he will also take part in a Q & A section with the discernin audiences. Speaking about this special tribute, Christina Marouda, the museum’s deputy director said, ‘Mani Ratnam is a treasure, and we are pleased to host him New York with three of his most significant and beloved films.’

Of the mega heroes, it was said that Sai Dharam Teja would carry forward the legacy of his uncle Chiranjeevi. Though Rey was a small setback, it is being said that his forthcoming film Subramanyam For Sale will help him hit stardom.

Incidentally, Dil Raju who was one of the producers of Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitam is also producing Subramanyam For Sale.

Talk is that he is also planning another film with Sai Dharam Teja as he is confident of his success after Subramanyam For Sale. Vegesna Satish will be directing this film.

Though Sai Dharam Teja does not have a home banner, despite being from the mega family, Dil Raju is helping him find a firm footing in the industry.

Pawan Kalyan promised him one more chance during the audio function of Gopala Gopala. We have reliably learnt that Dolly recently narrated a story to Pawan Kalyan which impressed him very much. Pawan Kalyan gave him his nod and asked to prepare the full script.

This project is likely to go on floors after the completion of Gabbar Singh-2 which recently began. Pawan Kalyan is yet to join the shooting of Gabbar Singh-2. The movie is being planned for Summer 2016 release.

The young trending hero Nani who was all set to host the grand launch of the magnum opus Baahubali today is said to be out of it. It is all because of his fatal injury that happened during the the shoot of his upcoming movie “Bhale Bhale Magadivoy”.

Nani confirmed this news and said “Leg injury in BBM climax action sequence. Unable to be a part of #Baahubali Audio. My best wishes to the team and the fans on the launch.”

After this move, Rajamouli now announced the Star Anchor Suma as the new host for the Baahubali  event. “Unfortunately Nani got hurt in his Shoot and is unable to make it to the event… It will be Suma garu all the way, tomorrow.” The audio launch will be held at Tirupathi at Sri Venkateshwara University.

Universal Hero Kamal Hassan who is pending a straight Telugu film for our audience for several year is finally making amends to that with his next Cheekati Rajyam (Thoongavanam in Tamil). The movie is a bilingual made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil.

Kamal had made sure that 70% of the movie is shot in Hyderabad and the rest of the 30% will be canned in Chennai. Currently an action sequence is being canned in Hotel Katriya, Somajiguda. The movie team will shift to Chennai after completing all the shoot in Hyderabad.

Kamal Hassan’s Associate Rajesh M. Selava is turning director with this film. Trisha is pairing up with Kamal Hassan for the second time in her career after Manmadha Banam. Rumours are rife that the movie is all about what happens on that one fateful night.

Ram Charan’s next, Bruce Lee (Working Title) is rushing up for a possible Dussehra release. The movie unit is shooting for the film non-stop to make it for the targeted October 15th release. On the other side, the combination of Vaitla and Ram Charan had instilled super hype on the project in trade.

The business is already closed in few areas while fancy offers are made in remaining. We are told that the movie’s prerelease business will be above 55 Crores which is the highest ever for any Ram Charan film.

Ram Charan made sure that Kona Venkat and Gopimohan are back to Srinu Vaitla’s stable after that Aagadu breakup. Srinu Vaitla is very determined to be back on success track after that failure of Aagadu.

DVV Danayya will be lolling out the money bags for this project under his Universal Movies Banner. Thaman is the music composer in the film in which Rakul Preet Singh is playing the female lead.
