Share

pms

In what is seen as first of its kind and major boost to the new state of Andhra Pradesh, three of the most powerful leaders of the globe are going to grace AP. As per the reports, Prime Ministers of India, Japan and Singapore will be attending the historic moment – stone laying ceremony of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will lay the foundation stone for the capital.

The new capital, Amaravathi, will be build by Singapore with the help of Japanese technology. Mr Naidu is planning to build a world-class smart capital on either side of river Krishna. Of the targeted 35,000 acres, the government has so far procured 32,000 acres from local farmers through the land pooling scheme.

The proposed Capital Region will be spread across approximately 7,325 sq km within the Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalgiri limits. The core capital will extend up to 125 sq km. The government will first develop the core capital by 2018.

Touted to be a gigantic world-class capital, efforts are made to make the capital as an economic powerhouse for the State. Vijayawada and the new capital will be developed as business and trading hubs in IT, ITeS, electronics, auto and agri-processing sectors.

Similarly, a pharmaceutical hub, fabrication hub with focus on rubber and fabricated material, an economic hub with FTZ/SEZ zones, textile, auto, aerospace and IT/ITeS industries, aquaculture hub with logistics park along with an agricultural trading hub with agro-processing and textile industries are proposed around the capital.

On whole, the new capital will be build to attract investments across the globe and turn several heads towards the new state of Andhra Pradesh. PM Narendra Modi said to have lauded AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for his visionary and planning.

NTR-Sukumar-Trivikram: Master Plan For Mutual Benefit

Share

ntr

With the news of NTR teaming up with Tollywood’s most favorite director, Trivikram, being spread like wildfire and no one is even condemning the news, fans are now confident that this amazing combination will indeed materialize as being discussed. On the other hand, NTR is gearing up to unleash his newly groomed style quotient in creative director Sukumar’s film, Maa Nannaku Prematho.

In the film, Sukumar is expected to showcase NTR in a new avatar. Sukumar’s penchant for showcasing his heroes with complete image makeover is well known. Sukumar, with his intelligent director tag, has a solid fan base among the A list, class audiences.

Similar is the case with Trivikram, whose stronghold is evident in the A centres and class audiences. This has been proven with the record colections of Atharintiki Dharedhi and S/O Satyamurthy. With NTR’s teaming up with both these maverick directors, Sukumar and Trivikram can noe exploit NTR’s unbeatable mass image and improve their reach among the mass audiences.

On the other hand, NTR too can penetrate into the A listed audiences through Sukumar and Trivikram’s image, making it a win-win situation for all the parties. Let us hope that the awesome trio succeeds in seeing their master plan reap in mutual benefits in the end.

Interesting rumour: Manam connection in Suriya’s 24?

Share
surya

For the last couple of days, Kollywood media is gung-ho about Tamil star Suriya’s upcoming film, 24. The reason behind this sudden craze and nonstop buzz for the film is nothing but its ‘Manam’ connection. Yes, according to the reports being published, Suriya’s 24 is based on
Akkineni family’s emotional tale of three generations, Manam.

Apparently, Suriya will be seen in three roles in the film and reports are saying that the star himself will be reprising all the three roles essayed by ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya. Well there is no doubt that Suriya can pull off any number of difficult roles with aplomb thanks to his brilliant acting skills.

Coincidentally, 24 is being directed by Vikram Kumar who earlier directed Manam, and it also has Samantha playing the heroine’s role and this could have led to this interesting rumour. It is known that Suriya, after being dumbstruck with Vikram’s work in Manam, offered him to direct him in his own production. 24 is being promoted as a sci-fi thriller and it boasts of prominent technicians like AR Rahman, Kiran Deohans etc.

Nitin Didn’t Like Charmi’s Involvement?

Share
nitin5

Tollywood is right now puzzled by one happening, as they ask why did Nitin left Puri Jagan’s film? Because Nitin’s career is blossoming at the moment and if does a film with star director like Puri Jagan, definitely he could raise to next level. So what made him walk out of the project?

Ample speculations are being heard regarding this happening. Few close sources have shared that Nitin is unhappy with the way Puri Jagan wants to produce this film. In fact, Puri Jagan is signing package-deal nowadays, where he will give the first copy of the film for certain amount. A producer need not worry about heroines, their dates, production planning and others.

Puri will plan everything, execute and give first copy such that the producer could start promotion and plan the release. Even for Nitin’s movie, he’s about to repeat the same, which Nitin didn’t like as he wants his own banner to produce this film by taking care of each and every production aspect. If this is one side of story, there is another angle to it.

Some say that Puri Jagan has roped in Charmi as co-producer for Nitin’s movie. This movie has perplexed Nitin and that’s why he walked out of the flick. It feels like Nitin would have taken up the film rather worrying about production. For Mahesh Babu’s Businessman also, Puri signed similar package deal and delivered the film. When it worked for Mahesh, why not for Nitin?

Shruti Haasan’s Greedy Desire

Share

hasan

Looks like the svelte Chennai beauty Shruti Haasan has become greedy though in a good way. Apparently, the actress seems to be tired of multistarrers and she has decided not to act in films that feature an ensemble cast. Shruti revealed her greed to act in films which have stories that surround entirely on her.

Shruti further says that she will only act in films that have only one heroine. Well, for a heroine in Indian films, Shruti’s desire might indeed sound greedy and superficial, since all the film industries across the countries are heavily male-centric and patriarchal, with majority of the film’s runtime and also the credit of success often going to the star heroes and rarely to the heroines.

If we notice most of the films being made for the pan Indian audiences, one thing unanimously stands out and that is the male domination in films. Heroines no matter how big stars they are, often are resorted to a couple of songs and dances and a few love scenes here and there, leaving hardly any scope for performance. Now that she has attained stardom, Shruti can of course demand for films with more importance to her characters.
