Behind The Scene: 18 trips in a year?
That is the number of overseas trips Narendra Modi has made in a year, in his capacity as Prime Minister.
It surely cannot be the outcome of the fascination he might have had as a young tea-seller when he spotted the occasional ‘plane’ in the sky and dreamt of travelling in it one day.
18 trips at his age is not a joke! In fact, there have been Prime Ministers who made less than 18 trips during their entire tenure. Is it for publicity? Is he just fulfilling some long standing dream of his? Or is he caught up in euphoria at his status as PM and merely catering to his ego?
Modi’s actions are clearly part of a bigger game plan. Irreparable damage has been done to India’s image in the international community during the UPA regime. Modi is keen on using the first couple of years in office trying to bolster India’s image. After that, his think tank apparently wants him to devote his time exclusively to the domestic front.
If Modi engages with the Indian public during the last three years and gets controversial legislation like land acquisition bills etc out of the way as soon as possible, he would once again become the darling of the masses with policies catered to appeasing the people during the last phase of his regime.
Once More: Pawan Kalyan Threatens Who?
Jana Sena founder and power star Pawan Kalyan has threatened the Andhra Pradesh government regarding land procurement in capital zone.
He suggested that the government must let the farmers give their lands voluntarily and added that the government must steer clear of any controversy while procuring land.
However, the government has recently issued a notification saying that it would be forced to take away land if the farmers don’t give it voluntarily.
Incidentally, while some farmers filed a case with the High Court, some others have been demanding to get their consent letters back. So despite all these developments, Pawan Kalyan continues to maintain that he will enter the scene at an appropriate time.
Well, it is quite obvious that Pawan is simply trying to be in news once in a while by making these rather vague statements. Now it is being debated if Pawan has a plan of action in mind. Of course, once again, the government can consider this as yet another threat from Pawan Kalyan.

How Puri was chosen for Megastar’s 150th film?

It was revealed by Puri himself in an interview. Here are some excerpts from that interview. “It all started five years ago at Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap Premiere in Hyderabad. Big B personally convinced Chiranjeevi to make a comeback to films.

Lingaa Opens Up Tamil Market For Jagapathi
Rajnikanth starrer ‘Lingaa’ didn’t do well in either Tamil or Telugu. Jagapathi Babu played the villain in this movie and he seems to be the only beneficiary of the project.
Apart from getting offers in other Tamil movies, Jagapathi is now famous there as the ‘villain of Lingaa’.
Now, producers are trying to cash in on this new found image of Jagapathi Babu by dubbing his Telugu films into Tamil.
Thanks to ‘Lingaa’, they are confident of his movies raking in enough openings and then if there is good word-of-mouth, a decent satellite price there. One such movie currently being dubbed into Tamil is ‘Nagaram Nidra Pothunna Vela’.
Although the movie was a disaster in Telugu, who knows? It might appeal to the sensibilities of the Tamilians. Till recently, it was Tollywood that was bombarded with Tamil dubbed films. It’s now nice to see Jagapathi gain some traction there.
