Maybe legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao is an atheist, but his son Nagarjuna is a staunch believer in God. On that note, he has acted in three devotional films that every Telugu film lover with an admiration for gods and mythology would have saved their DVDs in their library forever.

Nagarjuna was seen in devotional films like Annamaya, Sri Ramadasu and the last one being Shirdi Sai, all three directed by legendary K Raghavendra Rao. These films are not just super hits, but their songs and visuals still serve as feed for TV channels and music stations during festivals and auspicious days.

It is publicized earlier that Nagarjuna is coming up with the story of Lord Balaji now, and he himself will play God. There seems to be no truth in this, however, Nag is playing devotee this time in this untitled flick.Writer JK Bharavi is heard working out on a story of an ardent devotee of Lord Balaji, Hathiram Bavaji.

In this story, according to mythology, Balaji himself used to play with Bavaji and sometimes God himself has given up in gambling matches in order to make his favourite devotee win. Story discussions are going on and once Raghavendra Rao comes up with fully bound script, then Nag might producer and feature in this movie. Watch this space for updates.

Finally the effect of working days is showing on SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali. The movie had shown the signs of slowing down on its 13th day. But the drops are not alarming according to the trade pandits.

They expect the trend to continue today as well and the movie will pick up for the evening shows of tomorrow. Allari Naresh’s James Bond is the only notable release this weekend. However it can not have a major impact on Baahubali. The movie will have a good weekend outing in its third week.

SS Rajamouli is the man of the moment right now across the country. His resounding success with Baahubali is talked across the country. On the other side, Rajamouli is heaping on Salman Khan and his recent release, Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

The ace director who is on a small family holiday, watched the movie the other day. He was very impressed with how a star like Salman Khan decided to back step and allow the story take the front seat. “Bajrangi proves that Salman the human being is bigger than Salman Khan the star.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun will be endorsing Star Sports Pro Kabaddi starting from this season. He will inaugurate the Hyderabad leg of the tournament by singing National Anthem.

Pro Kabaddi League which started last year with eight teams representing various states of India is growing popular these days Telugu team playing in this tournament is known as ‘Telugu Titans’.

All the Hyderabad matches are going to be held in Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. With Allu Arjun’s endorsement, the league will go more popular. Allu Arjun’s popularity is on a rise these days.

This time however we have an art-director objecting the bowling action of this ace director.

An art director from Malayalam circuits, Manu Jagadh, has accused that Rajamouli hasn’t given him due credit despite using his creative services. He claimed that he was hired as ‘Art Director’ but he was credited as ‘Chief Art Assistant’ that too in the end credits. Already Manu Jagadh has worked as Art Director for a dozen of films in Malyalam and getting credited as Art Assistant is a terrible mistake, feel cine experts.

‘Sabu Cyril – an encyclopedia in art direction, a respected personality and under whom I was trained approximately for 10 years; really proud to be one of his student. Yes, I now too go with the statement that I Got Cheated, for i was called for this movie as the Art Director and Sabu sir being the production designer , but been designated as chief art asst in the movie Baahubali on which I felt I got cheated by de-promoting by career level which I had achieved upon my 20 years of vigorous hard work’, said Manu Jagadh, in an official statement.

One wonders if Rajamouli hasn’t credited his teammate properly or someone who has to take care of the credits-list overlooked the work. Going by the concept sketches and final renderings in the movie, we have to accept that much of movie’s jewellery and parts of Mahismathi Kingdom are original imaginative ideas of Art Director Manu Jagadh. Will Rajamouli say something about the issue?

At last, the curtains are down for the title of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming flick. Until now, the film was popular as Gabbar Singh 2 but the film’s unit never confirmed this or any title. As per the latest buzz that is so strong, Sardar has been chosen by the film’s unit as the title.

Sardar is rumored to be set in the notorious Chambal valley backdrop and the film once again features Pawan in the most intense and entertaining character. For the film, Pawan even grew a saint-like beard and has been hitting the gym. This new look should suit him in gaining more perfection towards his character as Sardar.

The unit members have already finished a short first schedule in Pune and the second schedule will kickstart next week in Hyderabad, contrary to the earlier reports that Pawan will leave for Gujarat to participate in the shoot. Meanwhile, the suspense over the film’s heroine is still on and the unit members have not issued any official note in this regard.

Samantha is cruising to big heights these days. The stunning beauty after conquering big milestones in Telugu, off late had shifted her concentration to other industries. She has a handful of projects in Tamil along with big stars to stamp her authority there.
