Road Block to Hero Motors in AP
The first biggest investment of the truncated Andhra Pradesh, the Hero Motocorp plant in Madannapalem near Sri City SEZ in Chittoor district met with a road block now. The Hyderabad high court had stayed the construction activities at the land allotted to the company.
A person Kishanlal of M/s Ishwariya Orchards and Plantations claimed the ownership of 600 acres allotted to Hero Motors by the AP government. The court asked the company and the state government to halt the construction until further orders.
The next hearing of the case is on July 21. The plant coming up at this SEZ will have an annual capacity of 1.8-2 million units and the company is planning to invest 1600 Crore for the plant. CM Chandrababu Naidu had instructed the district administration and legal experts to look in to the issue and solve it immediately.
Cabinet Expansion tension for TS-Minister
Telangana Cabinet Expansion is round the corner. It may happen immediately after Pushkaralu. It is said that two ministers from Adilabad – Indrakaran Reddy and Jogu Ramana may be axed. Indrakaran Reddy is the coterie of Harish Rao and is normally not liked by KTR. It is said that he may be shown door from the cabinet making his responsible for the lack luster conducting of Godavari Pushkaralu.
However the endowments minister claim that lack of water is the reason for the failure and nothing with him. Minister of Forests, Jogu Ramana is not able to get hold on his ministry and is also making the prestigious Haritha Haram a damp squid.
If the recently joined DS is accommodated in the cabinet, Jogu Ramana belonging to the same community will have to go home. Koppula Eshwar, Rasamayi Balakrishna, Konda Surekha and D.Srinivas are expecting cabinet berths in this expansion.
Sunday Elections to decide key post in TFI
Sunday, 19th July, is going to decide whether it’s a person from the Nizam area or a person from AP going to sit on the top seat of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. Elections for the exhibitors panel would decide on the would be President of the panel. Producer Suresh Babu from AP and Narayana Das of Asian Films are contesting for the top most.
Taking the strengths into consideration, many of the exhibitors from AP want Suresh Babu to be elected. But as per the rotation method, a person from the Nizam area is to be elected this time. All this selection would depend on the exhibitors panel. Nizam area distributor cum producer Sudhakar Reddy is contesting from the distributors sector and Natti Kumar and T.Prasanna Kumar are contesting from producers sector.
Whoever wins would decide between Suresh Babu and Narayana Das. These are the first elections to the body after the bifurcation of the state and after AP Film Chamber of Commerce went for a name change to Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce.
Doordarshan pays Megastar 6.34 Crores
The year 2015 has been a very tough one in the context of agriculture with debt ridden farmers committing mass suicide. It has therefore come across as a big shock to us that the Doordarshan Kisan Channel launched by the PM paid a whopping sum of 6.34 crores to bring on Amitabh Bachchan to handle an endorsement campaign and be the brand ambassador for the channel.
The campaign is aimed at generating awareness and enthusiasm for farming and Amitabh Bachchan was deemed prefect for the job over personalities like Salman Khan and celebrity couple Ajay Devgn and Kajol because he has a connect with the rural India.
This appointment is raising several eyebrows owing to a multitude of reasons, the foremost being the high cost and low viewership. However, this decision has come from a high power committee and the campaign will last until April 2016.
Mega heroine doesn’t feel she is married!
Only a few heroines take the big step of getting married when they are still in limelight and getting big offers to do lead roles. Mega heroine Amala Paul is one of them. Love happened to her and she didn’t think twice about her career. She chose marriage and after getting married she is doing meaningful films which would add weight to her career.
Amala says she doesn’t feel like she’s married because her hubby, Tamil director Vijay is like best friends to her. Though kids aren’t in cards right now, there are many rumours on Amala being pregnant. However Amala is playing onscreen mother in her upcoming Tamil movie ‘Haiku’ in which Suriya is playing her husband.
‘Haiku’ is about parenting and kids. She might not be a mother but Amala did her homework well watching many parents how they take care of their children. Telugu girl Bindhu Madhavi is playing an important role in the movie produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainments.
