Rajamouli Wants Data To Change Script
‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ has taken Indian cinemas by a storm as the possibility looks quite positive that the film might enter into 300 crore club very soon at national level gross collections list. While everyone is elated by this happening, director Rajamouli says that he is not satisfied yet. Oh my God, why?
‘We can’t believe the talk that has come out in the initial days because the reactions during these days will be overwhelming. We would get real inputs only after couple of passes and how audiences are reacting to the content’, said Rajamouli.
As the film is making crores of rupees already, we wonder what is making him wait for the true feedback on his film. ‘I want comprehensive data to make small changes, additions and fine tune the script before I proceed for shooting’, he says.
Well, that’s what makes Rajamouli a class apart from his contemporaries as he always feels that doing what people like is the best way to make a film run towards blockbuster success. While talking with famous critic Rajeev Masand for his first ever post-release interaction with media, Rajamouli revealed these things.
Nag’s Big Plans For His Sons
We all know how closely knit the Akkineni family is and the emotional attachment between the Akkineni scions, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil, with their doting dad Nagarjuna needs no introduction. After launching his youngest son, Akhil, with a high profile project under VV Vinayak’s direction, the latest move by Nagarjuna towards both his sons’ future films has become a point of discussion.
Already, several reports are doing the rounds that Nagarjuna has been in constant discussions with the intellectual filmmaker Trivikram, who is currently riding high with the hat-trick successes of Julayi, Atharintiki Dharedi and S/O Satyamurthy, to get him direct Naga Chaitanya’s next film. Apparently, Nag is ready to shell out a fat cheque to Trivikram, if the master director agrees to do the film.
And now, latest buzz says that Nag is in talks with Sreenu Vaitla regarding Akhil’s second film after VV Vinayak’s. Reportedly, Sreenu Vaitla showed keen interest about the project and talks will materialise very soon. Akkineni fans are amused by Nag’s relentless efforts to position his sons atop the young generation actors.
Godavari Harathi Under Boyapati’s Direction
Boyapati Srinu, the director of blockbuster hits like Simha and Legend, has been honoured by the AP Government as he has now been entrusted with the job of overseeing the Godavari Nitya Harathi at the ongoing Godavari Maha Pushkaralu. The Godavari Nitya Harathi is a daily ritual at the Godavari Maha Pushkaralu.
Already, Boyapati has immersed himself into his job and he has made special and hassle-free arrangements for the devotees to catch the glimpses and even take blessings of the giant Harathi. Boyapati even got the stage modified a bit, which was specially erected for the Harathi. With his involvement, the ritual is now being highlighted at the Pushkaralu.
The Godavari Nitya Harathi is similar to that of the Ganga Harathi performed at Kasi. The Nitya Harathi was inaugurated by the AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu on the 1st of July. Naidu stated that the Godavari Harathi will be a daily event from now and that the government will take all it needs to bring it worldwide recognition.
Hot controversy over Jagan’s holy dip
All politicians in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are competing with each other to take holy dip during pushkarams at various ghats and get into the good books of people.
However it seems all their attempts are backfiring on them. While Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu’s holy dip resulted in death of 27 innocent devotees, Telangana CM KCR’s holy dip resulted in controversy as he took dip right after death of his sister in law.
Now even leader of the opposition in Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP’s Jagan Mohan Reddy’s holy dip also too landed in controvery after the picture of him having bath with holy cross chain appeared in various websites and print, electronic media.
Many attacked him saying he insulted millions of Hindus sentiments. Even former CII chief questioned Jagan for insulting Hindus. However Jagan’s supporters backed him saying their leader committed no wrong as even his dad, former CM YS.Rajasekhar Reddy took holy bath with cross round his neck.
Superstar’s Piece Of Advice For Film Critics
Superstar Salman Khan says film reviewers are entitled to express their personal views about a movie, but they should refrain from belittling the hard work of a film’s team.
The actor, who is awaiting the release of his film “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, also feels that a negative review plays with the viewers’ mind with a question to ‘watch it or not’ and in the end, it is the producer who incurs a loss.
“Such people, who give reviews, should say that they don’t like the movie instead of saying bad things about the movies. Such people don’t influence the movie, but now the ticket prices have also risen and there are some people who follow the review and might not watch the film because of a bad review and because of that we lose that person’s ticket which affects the producer,” Salman said during a radio interview on a 92.7 BIG FM show.
The “Dabangg” star is known for his action-filled adventures, woven with music, drama and romance, on the big screen. It is probable that he won’t disappoint his fans this time as well with “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”.
The Kabir Khan directorial narrates the story of a man’s journey from India to Pakistan in his endeavour to take a dumb and mute girl back to her country. It will hit the screens on Friday.
Asked about the surge of media channels and social platforms with reviewers from all age groups, Salman said that “they can give him minus rating”, but doesn’t let it affect him as he trusts his fan following.
“This is our mistake, there are some actors and producers who think that such reviews will affect their movie, but I say that you guys give me minus ratings, in fact don’t even waste ink for writing about my movies, then I will see that my fans watch the movie or not,” said the “Kick” star.
