Ravi Teja Readying Up Bengal Tiger
The fate of ‘Kick 2’ is not known yet, although the movie has completed all formalities related to production and shooting. With differences between producer Kalyan Ram and director Surender Reddy, ‘Kick 2’ has not yet seen the light of the day.
Fed up with the delay of this movie, Ravi Teja is now readying up his other movie for release during Vinayaka Chaviti festival. ‘Bengal Tiger’ is the movie he is currently shooting for, and it has already completed 80 percent of the work. Within four months, he has completed major shooting for this movie.
Directed by Sampath Nandi, ‘Bengal Tiger’ features two beautiful heroines Tamannah and Raashi Khanna. Bollywood actor Boman Irani also features in the movie in a prominent role. Brahmanandam will be seen in another laugh riot character, promises the director. If ‘Kick 2’ gets further delayed, we may see this movie in the theatres first.
No One Is Forcing Me To Get Married
Salman Khan, who is always questioned about his reluctance to get married, says he is in no hurry to settle down as “no one in his family” is forcing him to get married.
The 49-year-old actor shared the update during a radio interview on a 92.7 BIG FM show.
Asked about the ultimatums his family has given him, the actor said: “I have got an ultimatum from my family to increase my level. No one in my family is forcing me to get married.”
The “Dabangg” star is also not consistent about his thoughts on marrying.
“Yesterday I said I am okay with doing an arranged marriage and today I am not okay day after I will have another answer,” he added.
Meanwhile, when his father Salim Khan was asked about Salman’s marriage at an event here, he said: “Even Allah can’t answer such questions”.
Salman has often grabbed headlines for his relationships. From dating stars like Sangeeta Bijlani and Katrina Kaif to having a turbulent affair with Aishwarya Rai, who is now married to Abhishek Bachchan.
On the professional front, the actor is all set to regale his fans with his new film “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” on Friday.
The Kabir Khan directorial, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, narrates the tale of how a man discovers love while taking a dumb and mute girl back to her home in Pakistan.
Finally, freedom for Kick 2
Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja and Surender Reddy’s hilarious action entertainer Kick 2 seems to have gotten its Independence from the long, unending delay. As per the latest sources, Kick 2 is finishing all the post production formalities at a fast pace and it will be finally releasing on 14th August, just one day before the Independence Day.
The film, even though completed its shooting part long ago, was said to have been stuck into deep financial crunch as the producer Kalyanram couldn’t allot more money for the post production work. Apart from this, rumors of the film going for a reshoot also cropped up recently.
Kick 2 is the second film in the Kick franchise and the film’s makers have taken utmost care in making it a grand success as a repeat of its previous version’s box office performance. Ravishing hot beauty Rakul Preet Singh will drench the audiences with her beauty and the songs scored by Thaman topped the charts.
Mahesh’s BIL to Fight Baahubali Storm
Mahesh Babu’s brother-in-law and actor Sudheer Babu’s recent offing Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini garnered mixed to positive reviews and the film did moderately well in Andhra, Ceded compared to Nizam. Producer Lagadapati Sridhar, who is known for his business acumen, hasn’t given up the film and decided to re-release the film now since no other big Telugu films are in fray except Baahubali.
Sources in the know divulged, “Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini is going to be re-released this Friday (July 17). The film is being re-released in over 50 Centers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together. Already the film is running successfully in 6 Centers. Since no big film is running in theatres other than Baahubali, Lagadapati Sridhar is releasing the film again.”
Billed to be musical and youthful romance, the film features Nandita opposite Sudheer Babu. Given that chemistry between them worked on screen with Prema Katha Chitram, Lagadapati zeroed in on same combination for this film. An official remake of Kannada super hit Charminar, Rana Daggubati and Naga Chaitanya were seen in special cameos. Will Sudheer Babu and Lagadapati be second-time luck? Let’s wait and watch.
Controversy over Baahubali Collections
Success always comes up with a fair share of controversies. This is exactly the case with Telugu films. SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali is not an exception to this. The movie had already amassed more than 200 Crore gross across the globe and is going big guns. However all of sudden, controversies erupted over the movie collections.
The collections of the movie in Krishna and Nellore territories have become the center of controversy. Mega fans of these areas allege that the figures of both these territories are inflated very much to create records. However Prabhas fans allege that Mega fans are jealous of the records and are making false allegations.
They also say that Mega fans are afraid of the records and fear that their films can not break those records in future and so are trying to downsize the numbers. Baahubali had collected about 57 Crore share only in the Telugu States in the first six days of its release. The movie is already the new industry hit of Tollywood. It had crossed the previous industry hit, Attarintiki Daredi in just 3 days itself.
Mahesh Is Best Actor, Cherry & Bunny Are Best Heroes
After the recently concluded Filmfare South Awards, Tollywood is gearing up for yet another awards ceremony. The TSR TV9 awards, which honour the excellence in Telugu, Bollywood and other regional cinema are back once again. Recently, the jury members, under the head of jury, T Subbirami Reddy, organised a press meet to reveal the winners for the years 2013 and 2014.
Tollywood’s Superstar Mahesh Babu has won the Best Actor Award for Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu for 2013, while Balakrishna walked away with the top honour for his roaring performance in Legend for 2014. Also, Ram Charan (Naayak) and Allu Arjun (Race Gurram) have won the Best Hero Awards for 2013 and 2014 respectively.
In the female category, Tamannah (Tadakha) and Samantha (Atharintiki Dharedhi) won the Best Actress and Best Heroine respectively for 2013, Shreya (Manam) and Rakul Preet (Loukyam) won the honours for 2014. Sreenu Vaitla (Baadshah) and Boyapati Srinu (Legend) have won the Best Director Awards for 2013and 2014 respectively.
Apart from these, Jury Awards for Best Actor went to Nagarjuna (Manam) and Venkatesh (Drushyam). While Krishnam Raju has been adjudged with the Legend Actor of Silver Screen Award, Silver Screen Outstanding Performance Award has been announced for Mohan Babu for (Yamaleela 2 and Rowdy). Finally, the Lifetime Achievement Awards were conferred on Jayasudha and Paruchuri Brothers respectively.
The awards will be announced officially on the 16th and the presentation will be on 19th July in a glittering night that will be full of dance performances by actresses like Charmme, Shraddha Das, Hamsa Nandini etc.
