Yet another shock for Baahubali team! This morning, as many as 50 pirated DVDs of Baahubali The Beginning have been recovered in Chittoor from a bus that belonged to a private operator. The bus was on its way to Bangalore. The DVDs were caught when the Palamaneru Police were doing their routine checking. The pirates have been taken into the custody.

Yesterday, the Charminar Police raided several DVD shops and video parlours near Charminar area and recovered close to 115 DVDs and even arrested one person. In other cases, two people were caught separately in Eluru and Pune for illegally possessing and uploading of Baahubali pirated films on the internet.

Even after issuing strict warnings and the court’s John Doe order, the piracy menace continues to haunt Baahubali and it is severely affecting the collections, just as the film is racing ahead at the box office with never seen before collections. Baahubali already wiped off Atharintiki Dharedhi’s all-time industry record by Sunday itself.

On day one, there is huge criticism about Baahubali among Telugu audiences. Even now, many film lovers say that the film is weak in terms of storyline though a giant in Visual Effects and thrills. I wondered what made many critics talk that way.

If at all Baahubali is a Hollywood movie’s copy, then those who are arguing that it’s a copy should copy at least one Hollywood movie and make it a visually appealing Telugu film. Is anyone ready for the challenge? If you want a regular mass-masala movie, then watch it on a DVD at home or turn to our popular Telugu channels as they play such routine movies everyday without ad breaks. Why watch a film like Baahubali in theatres then?

Already Rajamouli promoted it as a visual experience, so he stood on his promise. Don’t blame it for story. If there is no story why would the producers invest 250 crores in the film? If anyone thinks they could make this film in 10 crores budget, why not do it then? Few ranted why it took 3 years for making this movie. Films like Avatar, Gladiator and even Terminator took 5-7 years in Hollywood for making. Those who don’t know about the nuances of film production are unnecessarily spitting venom.

Even if someone doesn’t spread positive about Baahubali, that will be fine. But how come they spread negative without understanding the film? Buying a ticket with 1000 rupees won’t make you a judge of 250 crores investment and 3 years of hard work, isn’t it?

Try to read some reviews given by Hollywood critics. They have praised the film for its visual appeal, cute romance between Prabhas and Tamanna in first half and the whole story in second half. Some felt first half is weak; maybe they never know what romance is about or stuck to a point that hilarious comedy scenes should be there in every movie.

If Baahubali is really a silly film, collections wouldn’t be so amazing even if the film is released in huge number of theatres. Those who can’t appreciate the true beauty of this classic, are never going to enjoy the new line of Telugu cinema Rajamouli is trying to create. Whole world is applauding that the film took Indian movies to next level, but some Telugu audiences still feel that there is no story, no well-etched characterisations and others in the film. Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu Naidu has showered his praises on Baahubali and he joins many prominent personalities who have liked and appreciated the film.

In fact, Babu was full of praise for the film through his Twitter account and even congratulated Rajamouli and his team for the efforts they put in.

On Twitter, Babu said that Baahubali unit has indeed created a masterpiece. Well, Babu is one man who is constantly in touch with the film industry and he makes sure that he takes advice from film people for his political moves. So it comes as no surprise that he has taken time off to shower praises on Baahubali.

Goes without saying that Rajamouli and his team are ecstatic over Babu’s comments and Jakkanna has also profusely thanked Babu on his Twitter account for wishing him and his team.

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus film, Baahubali had created history by collecting 100 Crore share (all language put together) in just three days after its release. Due to this stupendous success, the expectations and the hype on the second part is scaling up as each record breaks.

Rana had further intensified the hype in his interview given to the BBC.com, Rana said that Baahubali’s second installment will have much more lavish sets and heavy duty action sequences. The Bhallaladeva also said that Baahubali The Beginning will look small in front of Baahubali The Conclusion.

40% of Baahubali-2 shooting is complete. The shooting of the remaining portion will begin from September 15th and it will go non-stop till completion. Baahubali-2 is expected to release the same time next year.

Item songs are a sure treat to the mass audience and that is the main asset of a normal out and out commericial movie. So, keeping this in mind and the huge remuneration just for a single song work out, the top heroines have started the trend for giving out their shakes for peppy numbers.

It seems after watching Rama Rajamouli who designed stunning costumes to the actors in the movie said that she did not like it. Allari Naresh’s James Bond which was earlier stated for July 17th release is now postponed. The movie will now be releasing a week later on July 24th. The postponement was inevitable as Baahubali mania is gripping the Telugu audience.

In case James Bond sticks to its original release plan, it will get missed in the Baahubali storm. There are no ‘significant’ releases until August 7th when Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu releases. This should give open ground for the Rajamouli’s magnum opus at the box office.

James Bond comes with a caption ‘Nenu Kadhu Naa Pellam’ and has Sakshi Chowdary who made her debut with Manchu Manoj’s Potugadu, playing the female lead. Sai Kishore Macha, a protege of Srinu Vaitla is making is debut as the director. Allari Naresh had even crooned a song for this film.

Even Rajamouli or the producers of Baahubali may have not imagined the sensational reception the movie got at the box office. The movie had just completed its first weekend run and it is already an industry hit when the collections of all the languages put together.

Even the only Telugu industry hit will be attained in few days. This is not going to the first weekend wonder, the bookings for Monday and the rest of the week days are exceptional. With Pushkaralu and Ramzan coming up the records hunts is not yet over.

Surender Reddy who completed all his works with Kick-2 is awaiting the release of the film strangled in financial issues. The director is now said to be working on the script for Ram Charan. This project will go on floors from November.

Suri is on a high with the humoungous success of Race Gurram. However he faltered in the making of Kick-2 and shot the budget beyond the range of Ravi Teja and now that is hurting the movie release as well.
