A Cool Selfie Could Cost You Your Life
Russia has become the world’s first country to introduce guidelines to its citizens on clicking selfies, following a series of tragic deaths while attempting to click innovative and risky selfies. The Russian government has also started a nationwide ‘Safe Selfies’ campaign urging its people to follow safety measures while taking selfies.
The Russian government, in association with its police department, has introduced a series of sign boards just like the traffic signal signs and placed them across the streets on several cities across the country. The Russian Interior Ministry even distributed flyers that read, “A cool selfie could cost you your life.” Tips included in the pamphlet contain the cautionary note that “a selfie with a weapon kills“.
Until now, 11 people have been reportedly killed and more than 100 got seriously injured in their attempts to snap dangerous selfies. While a person died after his selfie stunt with a loaded gun went terribly wrong, another person died while posing for a selfie with a hand grenade.
In yet another incident, a citizen died while climbing on to a railway foot over bridge to take a picture. Even yesterday, a lady was killed while posing for a selfie at the edge of a bridge, after the land under her feet split, sending down the selfie enthusiast to her death.
Revealed: Ramoji’s Role In Baahubali
All these days there are huge speculations regarding the role of media baron and the visionary behind Ramoji Film City, Ramoji Rao and his role in “Baahubali” movie. Some said that he is the indirect producer of the film; some said he’s just praising it for the sake of the film being a true giant creation from Telugu industry. With “Baahubali” releasing today, everything could be clearly read.
Makers of “Baahubali” have credited Ushakiron Movies as their Chief financiers. Nor any bank neither any other private financial firm was seen lending money to Baahubali, but only Ushakiron is on the banner. As usual, a special thanking credit is also given to Ramoji Rao.
And these two things explain possibilities of Rajamouli bringing the investment from Ramoji into the film. This may not be direct financial investment, but through giving Ramoji Film City for shoot purposes. That’s a fantastic idea, as a studio joining hands to produce a big movie.
However, it’s pretty unclear why Ramoji himself hasn’t turned producer rather he has just ended up as a financier. Anyway, it’s tough for anyone to believe that the whole of Baahubali was shot in Ramoji Film City itself except for few scenes.
No Ban On Porn In India
This is certainly good news to all the porn lovers across India. Taking a U turn from its earlier stance, the Supreme Court of India has now refused to block porn content on the internet, respecting the personal liberty of the Indians. Needless to say, this decision has been welcomed to a great cheer from the porn lovers and freethinkers in the country.
Reacting to the interim ban on porn by the apex court several months ago, the Chief Justice of India HL Dattu said, “Such interim orders cannot be passed by this court. Somebody can come to the court and say ‘Look, I am an adult and how can you stop me from watching it within the four walls of my room? It is a violation of Article 21 (right to personal liberty) of the Constitution.”
The Chief Justice made these comments following a petition by a lawyer named Vijay Panwani, who stated that porn and erotica have been the ‘major influences’ behind the crimes against women and children and he pressed for an interim order against the publishing and broadcasting of porn on the internet.
Puri or Vinayak for Megastar’s 150th – Charan
Mega Power Star Ram Charan who is the producer of Chiranjeevi’s 150th project clarified that the director of the project is not confirmed. “Puri had narrated the first half and is yet to finalize the second half. Vinayak also came up with a story.
One of them will direct this project”, Ram Charan said. There are rumours all over the media that Puri Jagannadh is out of the project after he failed to convince Megastar Chiranjeevi with the output of the second half of the script.
Puri is currently busy in the shooting of his next, Loafer starring Varun Tej. Sources say the project is mostly likely to be handled by Vinayak himself. Vinayak is a big fan of Chiranjeevi.
He delivered a blockbuster to the Megastar then with Tagore and recently gave a super hit to Charan with Nayak. He is expected to begin the script work after the release of Akhil’s debut movie in October.
