The success of Race Gurram had upped expectations from Surender Reddy.  On the other hand, the overseas market is a strange market as the equations and combinations that work there is very different from how they work here.  Films that work really well here don’t do so well out there.

Also, the overseas audiences usually go by the directors instead of the hero. One director who catapulted into big league with Race Gurram is Surendra Reddy. Naturally, there are sky-high expectations from Kick 2.  Talk from overseas is that the film’s rights have been bagged for Rs 2 crores.

Of course, it is a risky proposition as 40 per cent of the money goes off in costs. So, if Kick 2 has to start making money, it has to cross the Rs 4 crore mark. And if that is to happen, then the film has to get 3 star rating or higher. And if Surender did pull off the same levels of comedy and entertainment in Kick 2, then the film will be a sure-shot hit.

Meanwhile, one director who has very good market in the US is Trivikram. So, it is said that S/O Satyamurthy managed to make Rs 6 crores on the film prior to the release.

Multi-starrers are back in fashion and the newest pair to come together is Prabhas and Gopichand.  In the past, Prabhas acted as the hero and Gopichand acted as the villain in the film Varsham. At the time, the film was a huge hit. Ever since, the friendship between Prabhas and Gopichand has become strong.

Recently, Gopichand has had a hit in Jil and he has said that he would want to act with Prabhas in a multi-starrer if a good film comes by.  Of course, Tollywood is having quite a few multi-starrers and films with Venkatesh, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh had become hits in the past.

Now that Gopichand has suggested a multi-statter, Prabhas has to give his nod. Meanwhile, a well-known director is said to be working on a plot with Prabhas and Gopichand in the lead.

If you are staying in Banglore  and attends comic con event which started yesterday you’re likely to be enthralled by some interesting activities and surprises being planned by the team of upcoming Telugu magnum opus “Baahubali”.

After participating in comic con events held at Mumbai and Hyderabad now the team landed in Banglore. This time they showed some additional new sketched highlighting the grandeur of the film. Along with that they showcased the armour used by Rana in the film.

Among all two standees of Baahubali is attracting audience. The standees designed such a way that anyone can pose like fighting with Baahubali. This interactive feeling made these standees a huge success.

Local crowd was excited to meet their favorite comic characters, to take a snap with them, buy marvel comic books and collect comic goodies. Organized by Comic Con India, the Bangalore meet is a three-day fest at White Orchid Convention.

Young Blood of Mega Family, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan both are known for their straight—forwardness and frankness. They have proved in many occasions that they are willing to take it to the opposition in retaliating comments on them. One may not forgot about their indirect comments on Dasari Narayana Rao recently.

However it is a different ball game when dealing with fans and normal audience. Ram Charan was one of the first Mega heroes to join Twitter. However he found it tough to deal with over enthusiastic fans and other hero fans in Twitter and finally deactivated his account. Knowing all the consequences of social media and what happened to Charan, Allu Arjun still opted to foray in to Twitter.

He will active in Twitter from April 8th at 8AM, 2 days ahead of his S/O Satyamurthy release. It has to be seen if he shows more courage than Charan and continue in Twitter dealing with over enthusiastic and miscreant fans. Hope he will not enter in to any controversy losing his cool. Director Ravibabu’s Avunu 2 is out in theaters and is drawing good crowds as expected. The public talk and reviews are not in its favor though.

Ravi Babu’s marketing strategy has worked well for Avunu 2 besides the good will earned by its predecessor. In other news Ravi Babu is planning on doing his next film with Venkatesh.

Ravi Babu was supposed to make debut as a director with Venkatesh’s film. Things didn’t work out as planned and he made debut with Naresh’s Allari. After twelve years Ravi Babu is now planning to do a movie with Venkatesh. He is working on few ideas that need an approval from Venkatesh.

If everything falls in place, Ravi Babu will do his next movie with Venkatesh in the lead. This would be his first film with a top star. Ravi Babu wants to do something different from usual with Venkatesh, who of late is looking for unconventional scripts.

When a film does not do well at the box office, no amount of publicity will help it.

Shraddha Das is trying her best to do her bit for Rey, but the film is unlikely to recover at the box office.

As per industry sources, YVS Choudhary’s Rey is an utter flop. But the makers are trying to send Shraddha to various channels and make money wherever possible.

However, YVS Chowdary is confident that the film will get collections once the exams are over. But the audiences feel that the film has a Caribbean feel to it and that it is unlike a Telugu film.
