Baahubali sets an all India Record
India’s Biggest Motion Picture, Baahubali is all set for a mammoth release on July 10th. The movie will be having simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam on the same day. The movie will be releasing in more than 2000 theaters in the entire South India.
The movie in all the languages will be releasing in more than 4000 screens across the globe. The Hindi Version of Shankar’s I released in 1280 across the country where as Baahubali Hindi version will release in 1500 screens in the country.
Baahubali is the costliest film ever made on Telugu Screen. Three years of hard work had gone in to the project. The movie managed to make good buzz across the nation and even in international media. The makers are also planning an international release after the release of the second part.
Baahubali Prerelease Business in Telugu
SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali, the costliest film ever made in Telugu film industry is also making business of same levels. The movie had made a sensational business of 83 Crore before the release, which is never heard before any Telugu movie.
This is only for the theatrical rights and the movie had may have easily made close to 125 Crore from satellite rights, dubbing rights and others. However the stakes are high for the distributors and buyers, the movie will have to be an industry hit just to be a break-even.

Tripura nears Completion!
Colours Swathi starer Tripura shooting is currently in its final stages. The Climax shooting of the movie had began from 15th of this month and will go on till end of this month. After this schedule, the entire movie shooting will be complete except for 2 songs.
One of the song is Swathi’s introduction song which will canned in Kutram of Tamil Nadu and other song will be canned in Kodaikanal. The makers are yet to reveal their release plans. Geethanjali fame Raaj Kiran is wielding megaphone for this film which is also a horror comedy.
Pooja Ramachandran will be seen in one more important role. Kona Venkat and Veligonda Srinivas provided the screenplay.
Trade Talk: Jyothi Lakshmi is a Box Office Disaster
Trade had decent expectations on Jyothi Lakshmi but the film was so lame that it was instantly rejected by the moviegoers. Although it had a fairly decent start on its first day, Jyothi Lakshmi slipped down within no time.
This film was released in 170 odd locations in Nizam and it is running in twenty odd theaters in its second week. Jyothi Lakshmi team tried to attract the female audiences with their promos but no one took the bait.
Kerintha that released along with Jytohi Lakshmi started off slow but is holding well at the moment. It is doing decent business in A centers. Pandaga Chesko went on to become a hit at the box office as everyone invested in the film are into safe zone already.
Recent releases are faring bad as per trade reports. Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini collections are not so encouraging. Vinavayya Ramayya producer has spent a bomb on the publicity but it hasn’t worked in favor of the film.
Tippu has no takers as well. A handful of movies are slated for this Friday. Tiger and Jaddogadu makers are expecting to make some buzz at the box office before Baahubali takes over.
Opinion: DO or DIE Situation for KCR
We all have been watching TRS Governments sincere efforts to bring justice in Note for Vote case. We would like to see all perpetrators involved in this brought to justice. This is what a common man’s perspective at the moment in Telugu States.
Even though many we know how Chandrababu can manage anything and everything with his strong lobbying skills least we hope that there is some justice prevailed in India. As we all have to completely trust our legal system.
It has been more than 15 days and no progress was shown by Telangana ACB. Now everyone are suspecting and slowly getting under an impression that KCR has back tracked or come to a truce with Babu.
Everyone can understand KCR’s fears as an all-out war against Babu might not be easy and it might cost his seat and Government. But if KCR leave it now, Babu will not leave KCR or TRS in 2019.
After YSR’s Death and Jagan Mohan Reddy’s self-inflicted wrong strategies and eventual loss in 2014 Babu was gifted with a victory and he has become invincible politically.
With strong vote bank and cadre in Telangana his next stop is Telangana. Already TDP has declared that they will hit Telangana by 2019. KCR already started the war and Babu’s clean image has got a dent, but at the same time Babu is much smarter than KCR in strategies.
People’s memory is short. With 24 hours media coverage people are watching fun and moving on. So one cannot expect that TDP fear people. When elections comes they know how to play winning politics and they will use all weak link sources like castism in AP region and Separatism in Telangana region.
There are always greedy ones like a top film star family who will do anything for money. Babu can manage them on finger tips. With 80% media backing Babu they will do their best to keep him in power.
TDP and their media will bombard TRS in 2019. KCR should also realise Telangana Achievement honey moon period ends by 2019. He cannot play Andhra Card to win elections. Telangana people will judge his performance.
There were rumours that Late Dr YSR did saved Bala krishna during a firing case in his house. But we all have seen how Babu and TDP did not show any mercy on Jagan. Tomorrow they will do the same to Harish Rao, KTR or Kavitha. KCR has already rattled the cage if he goes back now it will be a self-suicide politically for him and his party.
Already majority of TDP supporters are furious with TRS for trying to tarnish their leader’s image. There is also another danger to TRS as that will give TDP to come out firing all guns saying that their leader was clean and KCR had no proof to implicate Chandrababu Naidu.
There were rumours that KCR has come to truce with a top Industrialist in Hyderabad by favouring him huge lands. KCR might be in an illusion that this man who is the back bone of TDP will support him against Babu, but when time comes he will show his true colours. For this industrialist his benefit and his communities’ interests come first everything else is second.
Finally KCR has got no other option except to go ahead and push the case further. He has already given lots of breathing time to TDP. If KCR ignore the facts and come to a truce he will become another Jagan Mohan Reddy in 2019. Is it a Do or Die it’s up to KCR to decide.
Two Directors, Same Dream!
Dasari Narayana Rao and SS Rajamouli are two of the most successful directors ever in Tollywood.
Recently on his birthday, Dasari said that his dream project was to make the great Indian epic ‘Mahabharata’ as a movie.
He said that he wanted to make it in parts and the project would run into hundreds of crores for which purpose he was talking to Hollywood production companies.
Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ is also inspired from the Mahabharata. Nevertheless, even ‘Jakanna’ wants to recreate the ‘Mahabharata’ in its entirety on celluloid.
He also said that the budget for this project would be far more than that of ‘Baahubali’ and he had already discussed this with Aamir Khan. Which of these directors will realize their dream?
James Bond Release Postponed!
Allari Naresh’s latest offering, James Bond had completed its censor formalities on Monday. The movie had obtained U/A Certificate. Earlier the makers have announced that they will be hitting the marquee on June 26th but now the movie is postponed for some reason best known to the makers.
James Bond comes with a caption ‘Nenu Kadhu Naa Pellam’ and has Sakshi Chowdary who made her debut with Manchu Manoj’s Potugadu, playing the female lead. Sai Kishore Macha, a protege of Srinu Vaitla is making is debut as the director. Allari Naresh had even crooned a song for this film.
Ramabrahmam Sunkara is the producer. Allari Naresh will be seen as a guy, who marries a girl, who is a gangster. The audio has been composed young music composer Sai Kartheek and Popular production house, AK Entertainments, is lolling out money bags for this film.
Jagan’s Film With Chiru Doubtful
It is now doubtful if Puri Jagan will direct Chiranjeevi in the latter’s 150th film. The reason is that Chiru’s 150th film is scheduled to go on floors in August.
But Puri has recently announced a project ‘Loafer’ with Varun Tej and has also released the schedule of the movie’s shooting. It will take around three months to wrap up ‘Loafer’. That means, Puri will be busy until September.
So, will he merely launch Chiru’s film in August and then work on it after ‘Loafer’? That seems unlikely especially given Puri’s recent statement that he is yet to prepare the ‘second half’ script for chiru’s film.
Maybe, VV Vinayak will direct Chiru after all. In that case, Puri will have to be content with directing a hero from the mega camp (Varun Tej) and not the mega star himself.
Tollywood Aunties Sizzling As Queens
She is still considered as a diva. Her die-hard fans say that she is an ‘Atiloka Sundari’ even today. But they forget the fact that she is 50 plus and has two teenage daughters. The lady in question is 51-year-old Sridevi who is back in news.
Her royal look in Tamil film ‘Puli’ is getting raves from her fans. She is acting as the queen of a province in the film. Tamil top hero Vijay is the hero and he has Shruti Haasan and Hansika as heroines. But in the teaser the main focus is on Vijay and Sridevi.
Sridevi’s look as the queen is mesmerizing. She exudes grace, charm and elegance required for the role of a formidable feisty queen. At the age of 51, she showing such agility is indeed appreciable.
Sridevi is not the only aging actress to don such role. Even Ramyakrishna is playing similar all-important character in Rajamouli’s epic saga ‘Baahubali’. Ramyakrishna is just short of 50. The 48-year-old erstwhile glamour queen is playing the role of evil queen in the movie.
Ramyakrishna’s get-up as Sivagami won appreciation from her fans. Both the aging heroines are back in the reckoning.
