Jil Audio Report: Refreshing Treat from Ghibran
Music director Ghibran who made a lasting impression with Run Raja Run is back with Jil music. Ghibran once again scored refreshing music which will be instant hit with the music lovers. Jil album has five songs and all the songs will top the charts for sure. ‘Man on Fire’ and ‘Pori Masala Pori’ are the best picks of the album.
All the songs are different from usual Telugu albums and that will be the USP of Jil. ‘Swing Swing’ is a peppy party number whereas the other two songs are romantic duets. Ghibran made sure that even the melodies sound new with trendy music.
UV Creations previous two films Mirchi and Run Raja Run had wonderful music and they have proved their taste yet again with Jil. Gopichand is known for mass masala movies but this film shows him a stylish avatar.
The makers didn’t go for a mass friendly album playing it to the strengths of Gopichand. Jil is entirely new package for Gopichand and it would be interesting to see how the masses embrace it.
His Films Are Different, But Risky
Think Kamal Haasan and you can expect something different with each of his films. Right now, Kamal is coming up with a film titled Uttama Villain. Of course, the promos look interesting and there is the right amount of curiosity among audiences.
Still, the buyers are scared to shell out exorbitant rates as they have had really bad experiences with big films of leading Tamil superstars. Films of Ajith, Rajini, Suriya, Karthi have all failed at the box office and that is many producers think twice.
In fact, the failure of Linga was the last straw. Now, the film is being released through C Kalyan as he has good links with the Tamil industry.
So it has been decided that if anyone buys the film before the release date, it would be best and in case they don’t, then the makers will release it directly in Telugu.
If the film manages to get super hit talk, then it would be best for them, else they say they will be happy even if they get theatre charges. On the other hand, Kalyan has been lucky with dubbed films of late.
He had released two films which he bought at low prices and made money out of both of them. Well, if his luck extends to Uttama Villain, it will be a happy ending for all parties involved.
Mega Heroine’s Costly Mistake
Pooja Hegde got rave reviews for her very first film as few critics felt that she would create a sensation like Ileana. Pooja had two releases in Telugu in a span of two months. Gopikamma song in Mega Hero’s Mukunda made her very popular in Telugu states.
When offers started pouring, Pooja took a break from Telugu Cinema as she got an opportunity to romance Hrithik Roshan in Mohenjo-daro. Pooja thought that this is a lifetime opportunity to do such a big film in Bollywood, but she didn’t calculate how much she could lose in Tollywood because of it.
Pooja is paid peanuts for playing the female lead in Mohenjo-daro, which would eventually take three years to hit the screens. The makers of Mohenjo-daro aren’t foolish to cast a new face in such a huge film.
Any big heroine of Bollywood will charge nothing less than 10 crores to give bulk dates for it. So they have roped in Pooja who wouldn’t mind doing it for free. Pooja could have earned lot of money in the same time in Tollywood.
She was contacted by few big production houses of Tollywood recently but she has signed a contract for Mohenjo-daro already. If this film doesn’t give the desired break for Pooja in Bollywood, could she make a comeback in Tollywood? Highly doubtful!

What is worrying Roja?
The attitude of film personalities, irrespective of whichever political party they belong never changes and same is the case with actress and YSRCP MLA from Nagari in Chittoor district, Roja. After a long struggle, Roja managed to become an MLA from that area.
While the YSRCP boss Jagan has tarnished the TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu saying he is media crazy and he wants to stay in media limelight all the time, his own MLA is vying for her time to get some attention.
It is known that the popular ABN Andhrajyothi channel has some exclusive rights for coverage of AP Assembly live proceedings, something that even Jagan mentioned during his comments against the ruling TDP government.
But amidst this chaos, Roja had revealed in Assembly that ABN is not giving her enough coverage and not showing them properly which is making her own party leaders and TDP leaders feel that she is still yet to come out of her filmy mindset.
Is Nirbhaya’s documentary’ a fake one?
Indian Government banned the film which Lelsee Udwin claims accurately depicts the what happened to Nirbhaya on the fateful night of December 16,2012, Nirbhaya’s friend who was the only surviving eyewitness says the entire documentary was a fake film.
Speaking to scribes, Avanindra Pandey, who fought rapits and murders to save Nirbhaya said “The documentary is unbalanced as the victim’s viewpoint is missing. The facts are hidden and the content is fake.
Only Jyoti and I know what happened on that night and the documentary is far from truth,” Pandey added he never heard about tutor Satendra who cliamed “Avanindra Pandey wanted to watch an action film while Jyoti wanted to watch Life Of Pi.”
Pandey questioned , “How does he know which movie I wanted to watch on that night.” Pandey went on to say “I was approached by many people and it started one and a half years ago, in 2013. I did not want to be part of it, as I was not convinced by its motive.
Also, I was not mentally prepared and had health issues as well,” Pandey supporting the ban said “The documentary has dented country’s image and questioned law and order situation. The documentary showed that any individual can enter the Central Jail of our country and can interview a criminal,”
Pawan Kalyan calls back Ex-Heroine for Gabbar Singh-2
Remember Nikesha Patel? The lady who made her filmy debut with Pawan Kalyan’s Komaram Puli. Her career was curtailed here due to the miserable failure of that movie. Later she acted in Kalyanram’s OM 3D bagging one more failure.
However Nikesha Patel is very busy in Kannada Cinema these days. When every one though Nikesha’s career is almost closed in Telugu. It is said that she recently received a phone call from Pawan Kalyan himself asking her to do an item song in his upcoming film, Gabbar Singh-2.
Nikesha usually do not want to do item numbers but agreed for this song due to Pawan Kalyan. However Gabbar Singh-2 details are still kept under wraps as the movie is in preproduction for more than a year now. There are also rumours that the project is shelved but there is no official confirmation till now.
Gabbar Singh-2 is set in the backdrop of Chambal Valley. Power fame KS Ravindra (Bobby) is wielding megaphone for this film. Anisha Ambrose will be romancing Pawan Kalyan in this film. Jaynan Vincent will be cranking the camera. Devi Sri Prasad will score the music.
They are planning to complete the film under 20 Crores except for the remuneration of Pawan Kalyan. Since Gabbar Singh is a brand, this project is expected to create excellent hype in Trade and Audience as well. They are planning to sell the movie for at least 60 Crore before the release which means outright profit of 40 Crore.
Rajendra Prasad Back Into Production
There was a time when Rajendra Prasad was the biggest comedy hero of the Telugu industry. At that time, almost all his films were hits and he also got into production.
But luck was not on his side and he lost most of the money he made as a hero. Years later, Rajendra Prasad got back into acting and started playing some interesting character roles. He got success once again.
But he seems to be smitten by production bug once again. He is presenting a movie titled Tommy once again and hopes it will interest the audiences this time around.
Goes without saying, the film revolves around Rajendra Prasad’s character and a dog named Tommy. It remains to be seen how the audience will receive his film this time around.

Kamal With Prabhu! An Amazing Concept?
Probably, the only hero in Indian cinema who can do any kind of role without having to worry about an image is Kamal Haasan. Had he decided to restrict himself to purely commercial cinema, he would have probably been as successful financially as Rajnikanth.
But then, he wouldn’t have been Kamal Haasan either. Tamil film industry is rife with speculation that Kamal who is currently busy with ‘Uttama Villain’, ‘Viswaroopam 2’ and ‘Papanasam’, will be directed by Prabhu Deva after he is done with those projects.
And here comes the interesting part! Apparently this film with Prabhu Deva has the concept revolving around an air plane that disappears. Reportedly, Kamal himself will be giving the story and screenplay.

‘PK’ DVD has deleted scenes!
What is the incentive to buy a DVD of a film for youngsters these days when everything is available online? It is a fast dwindling market and the maker of PK have come up with an innovative idea to push sales of their DVD.
Speaking at the launch of the DVD of ‘PK’ which was attended by Aamir Khan and Vidhu Vinod Chopra as well, director Raj Kumar Hirani said Hirani said that the DVD is a treat for fans as several scenes which were initially removed from the final film have been included now.
“This is the first time that I had deleted scenes in a film. Now when we watch them (deleted scenes) we realised those scenes were funny but because of the length we could not include them,” Hirani said. Aamir Khan apologized if the movie hurt the feelings of anyone.
“The film has been loved by the majority. Personally I want to say I feel bad if I hurt a single person… that was not my intention at all. What we wanted to tell we told that because it was an important point. But I want to apologise if I hurt people,” said Aamir.
Megastar admires southern film stars
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who will be seen in a commercial with southern superstars, says he has had immense admiration and respect for actors and filmmakers of the southern film industry since the beginning of his career.
“My admiration for the Southern Film Industry needs no endorsement…I have had great respect for the thespians and the giants of the Industry – all of whom I had the great privilege to spend time with,” Big B posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com.
The 72-year-old’s 1971 film “Pyar Ki Kahani” was a remake of Shivaji Ganesan’s film “Kaikudhta Deivam”. “I did my first Hindi film in the South, which was a remake of a Shivaji Ganesan film ‘Kaikudhta Deivam’, and the amount of trouble I had during its making, not being able to even reach an inch of the work that was done by Shivaji in the original,” he added.
Big B says he never stopped touching Ganesan’s feet every time he met the southern superstar. “He was paired with the extraordinary talent of Savithri his leading lady – an exceptional artist, the likes of which you never get to see nowadays,” he added.
